  1. Haha OUCH! Happy Birthday!!!
  2. I liked the movie 300. I never read the graphic novel. To me personally, when I read I don't wanna be distracted by pictures. I want to imagine the story with my own created pictures in my head. Having huge illustrations to go along with every page puts a big damper on that.
  3. A pair of these bad boys.
  4. All the ones I've flipped through it seems that the words are there just to give a snapshot of the picture. The picture does everything as far as storytelling goes. Then again I haven't seen many graphic novels so maybe I'm way off on this.
  5. Graphic novels are nothing more then adult picture books for people who don't want to think or imagine with their own minds the story. So they need big pictures to do it for them. *Prepares for the onslaught of graphic novels fans*
  6. Just saw another great gay foreign film, David's Birthday. Its in Italian, but they have it with English subtitles on Netflix.
  7. Sommersturm (Summer Storm in English). Its a great and very cute coming of age movie set in the backdrop of a rowing regatta. The movie is in German but it has English subtitles. Plus, it has a bunch of cute German boys and a couple of very erotic scenes in it.
  8. Best song of 2011 was definitely Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People.
  9. Hmm, don't know how I ended up in this thread. I've always wanted to read Mark's stuff. Just too lazy to have gotten around to it. Maybe I'll start.... Anyway, I'll answer from the perspective of a 19 year old guy who identifies as bisexual, leaning male. I've never had sex with a girl. My entire realm of sexual experiences are confined to a couple of guys. I've done everything from bottoming to topping to sucking to getting sucked and most things in between. In high school, when I think back, I had several serious chances of getting laid with girls. I found them attractive and wanted to, but a part of me kept telling myself that I was gay and thats not what gay guys do. To me, you were either gay or straight with no middle ground. Now I've matured to realize that there is a lot of middle ground, and while I fall closer to the 'prefer males' end of the spectrum, I don't putting having sex with a girl out of the possible future. Its not something I'll actively seek out like I do with guys, but if the chance comes and I want to, I won't say no.
  10. Fap! Fap! Fap! Fap! Fap!
  11. I guess he beat himself to death. There are so many jokes you could tell with this one.
  12. I would hope so.
  13. But we can all guess!
  14. It depends on when it is. If its anywhere from September to April, I vote Philly or DC. I'm 15 minutes from Center City Philadelphia and about 2 hours from DC. Any other time, I vote Boston, which is still a good 2 hour drive for me.
  15. Ahhh, a mysterious surprise. Sexy.
  16. Awwwww, are you jealous Merlin?
  17. Oh boy those tickets look sexy! And of course that includes the sexy entertainment after the game from the host right?
  18. 17
  19. Long as you get those tickets.
  20. Awesome picture! I'm jealous you got to go to orchestra.
  21. Oh boy, I so could have been mean here. You're just trying to get me to come down there aren't you.
  22. Its that easy?
  23. It doesn't matter how hard you tried, only how good the end product is. If you work hard and still fail, well, you failed. If you half-assed it and succeeded, well, you succeeded. Effort doesn't mean jack shit if the end product is no good, or not good enough. My dad gave me this advice a long time ago, and its honestly been a pillar that I've lived by.
  24. Ummm, no. Shirt off.
  25. Here's a link to that thread. I don't have any advice to give since I'm only 19, but this one has a lot of good points from both sides of the aisle. http://www.gayauthor...is-on-the-line/
