  1. Given the NCAA's track record of disciplining, it probably won't do much if anything, considering PennState is one of the "untouchables".
  2. Good. He simply washed his hands of this problem by giving the dirt to the next guy up the ladder. He deserves to go down in flames like this.
  3. Damn, you guys make it sound like turning 30 is a death sentence. If thats true, then I'm lucky. I'm only 2/3 of the way to 30, so I still got 10 more years to enjoy life.
  4. Start holding athletes to academic standards, then you'll start to see a shapeup. Why should Tyrone and Billy-Bob worry about writing that paper when the professor will just give them an A anyway? The problem is, you take away slots at university from qualified academic students and give them to brainless morons who can't even hold a pencil, let alone think at above a 1st grade level. If universities stopped giving them automatic passes, then they'll either drop or get their asses in gear and do the damn work that the rest of us have to do already. I love college sports as much as the next guy, but the majority of people who play them are f**king retarded and would never have gotten past 3rd grade if they weren't an athlete.
  5. I hope they can his sorry old ass.
  6. Another one bites the dust. Jesus, so many college football scandals this year. Miami, Ohio State, and now Penn State.
  7. What the hell is it with gay guys obsession with the place? Every time Ikea comes up, my boyfriend goes nuts with excitement.
  8. I've been on several backpacking trips in the White Mountains. Its absolute heaven. No cell phones, no internet, no distractions. Just beautiful outdoors. If you're looking for a way to relieve stress and just get away, backpacking/camping is the best way to do it.
  9. Nope, I don't watch soccer.
  10. I hate the SEC. Even tho my beloved Aggies are joining it.
  11. Granted, I've only gone for part-time jobs that any retard could get. But, I've found telling them what they want to hear is always helpful.
  12. Mac Brown (the football coach for the evil empire, t.u.) and R.C. Slocum were riding together to a coaches conference and they got in a wreck and both of them died. They entered the Pearly Gates and God takes Mak Brown on his tour of heaven first. He shows Mac a little two-bedroom house with an old faded Longhorn banner hanging from the front porch. "This is your house coach. Most people don't get their own house up here," God says. Mac looks at the house, then turns around and looks at the one sitting on the top of the hill. It's a huge three story mansion with white marble columns. Georgeous Texas A&M flags line both sides of the sidewalk and a huge A&M banner hangs between the marble columns. "Thanks for the house, God. But let me ask you a question. We have beat Texas A&M many times and all I get is this little two-bedroom house with a faded banner while R.C. Slocum gets a mansion with a huge Aggie banner and sparkling new Aggie flags flying all over the place. Why is that?" God looks at him seriously for a moment, then with a smile, God says, "Son, that's not R.C. Slocum's house, THAT'S MY HOUSE!!"
  13. To all my Canadian friends. Except for Steve, cause he was a good hockey fan and cheered for the right team, despite being north of the border. Love you Steve.
  14. Would you participate in a general sports forum? I know sports fans on GA are a minority, but hey, we're a passionate minority. This forum would hopefully include all sports from the NFL and college football, NHL, NBA, MLB, soccer leagues, rugby, lacrosse, etc. Obviously I have no power to create a forum, but maybe if enough people show interest it could be a possibility.
  15. Happy Birthday!!!
  16. Hmm, I remember being deeply depressed for a while as a teenager. I kept waiting and waiting for something to just magically happen to pull me out of it. After months of months of throwing a pathetic pitty party for myself, I finally realized something that all depressed people should realize. Very rarely does life just throw you a bone for free. You have to go out and take it for yourself and work to improve your own state of being. Feeling sorry for yourself isn't going to do you any good and will only perpetuate the problem. So, start working to improve your life, because its the only thing that will end the cycle of depression. Seriously dude, it works. Its hard, its a lot of work, and it may take more then one try, but the alternative is to continue having a shitty life. I've been there before and pulled myself out of the dark depths before, so whats it gonna be?
  17. A great investment if you're looking to get laid.
  18. Forever Young by Rod Stewart. I forgot how much I loved that song.
  19. My four favorite quotes, displayed on my Facebook page. "You have enemies? Good. It means you stood up for something in your life." -Winston Churchill "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle, victorious" -Vince Lombardi "Live Free Or Die" -New Hampshire Motto "We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail" - George W. Bush
  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA RUSH!!!
  21. So what forum here on GA do you participate in or browse through the most? I found that over the last 6 or so months, I spend about 90% of my time in the Soapbox posting and reading other people's arguments. I usually just glance through the Lounge, and rarely go into any of the others forums.
  22. Then whats the point of even having a Facebook account?
  23. I have a form of a story that I've been writing since about 7th grade, and have about 190 pages worth written. I've never shown it to anyone else before, nor do I ever plan to. I wrote it simply to satisfy myself, and because I enjoy doing it.
  24. Most people are bisexual to some extent or the other. As has been established many times before in here, there are very few exclusively gay or exclusive straight people in existence. Its just most straight men won't admit they have some level of attraction to other guys, even if it isn't purely sexual. I used to have much stronger attractions to women then I did guys. Over the high school period, that slowly changed to the other way around. I still find some women sexually attractive and sometimes wonder what sex with a girl would be like. When it comes to relationships though, I just can't picture a woman in the place of my boyfriend. I guess if I had to put a label on myself, I'd say Bisexual, Strongly Leaning Male. Though, to some extent that still isn't really accurate.
