I first saw a porn magazine at the age of 7. My sister and I sold pages to a friend's other brother. Yeah, I was real traumatized. The first time I read anything to do with sex was I think... the age of 9 I stumbled into some Harlequin romances. First gay sex story exposure, 10, though that was a rape scene. First porn movie... 11, and that was at a party with a ton of much older people. Yet I'm not perverted (at least in a bad way, lol) or mentally traumatized. I think porn can be arousing, or off-putting, or absolutely ridiculous. I've seen all kinds. I believe sexuality is a thing to be explored. Porn in itself isn't bad, nor is every person who makes porn being victimized or marginalized as a person instead of an object of lust. Could people do a better job of hiding it from their kids? Yes. I know my parents could have. I know I'm doing my job keeping my kids innocent during the time they should be able to JUST be kids when they hear the word sex on TV commercials and get a confused look on their face and then shrug or ask, what's that? (which just happened tonight) Overall, my view on porn can be summed up by this common acronym you can come across in the BDSM world. YKIOK or Your Kink Is Okay. You can also see it as YKNMKBTOK or Your Kink's Not My Kink But That's OKay. There will always be things not okay, of course, but those usually go beyond kink and into illegal activity.

As a mother, I'm appalled at the coaches' actions. I'd rip them to shreds, were it one of my kids, and I'd go to bat for my children just like this mom did. I think in the midst of the focus on the school/coaches not personally paying, we're forgetting that for once we're hearing about a parent who lived up to the ideal: No matter who/what you are, you are still MY kid. I feel bad for the girl who faced several years in high school, kicked off the team sport she enjoyed, and harassed. I know what it is like to be bullied, and even though my problems weren't of that nature, it still hurts. I'm glad something positive came out of the case, even if she didn't go to trial and the insurance company settled. It's called precedent. And while I know that the 'Texas--land of the bigot' stereotype isn't quite true, it's still a state where certain values still hold great sway. Personal accountability would have been great, as Zombie mentions, but at least with this legal victory, this incident won't happen again. Or, if it does, it will be far faster and easier to defend against.

LOL! Yes... there's so much going on. I do plan to come back because Kertyn's father, and the priest, deserve their comeuppance. I didn't share it yet, because to me the story here was really about Kertyn and Zaran coming together. There was conflict, but they're adults. I dislike miscommunication being the sole source of plot conflict, so that wasn't where I wanted to go on this. Some could argue I didn't finish the story, at all, but the romance, and finding a way to connect to someone completely foreign with an open mind, was the focus. Nope, sorry Tiger72boi... for now, this is it. I saw the relationship go further, and definitely the conflict exists to pursue the priest's and Kertyn's father's actions. Someday, soon, I hope to have time to further explore!

Yeah... the conflict was there for the sex, but the trauma was more on Zaran's part. Kertyn had no idea what happened to him was anything bad. It just was. That made it easier to focus on the pleasure, and not have any fear on Kertyn's part. Thanks so much for the review.
