Wow, sounds like life is rolling right along for you. I would say wait til you hit 30 but I've found 29 is the year I am doing a lot of evaluation about who I am and who I wanted to be by now. Maybe that's just a woman thing, since 29 is supposed to be so awful.

I am glad your natural up-ness is back though I'm even gladder (yes I know, silly word. Blame Pollyanna a guilty pleasure of mine to watch) Anyway, even gladder you were able to vent to us and let it out. Whether or not saying what you were feeling will do any good and the fact that the pat answers don't help (not that we tried to give you any), you got it out. Sometimes that is all that is needed to really feel like someone is noticing you and how you really feel. Believe me, you have a ton of people here who care and are with you in spirit. Hugs!

If your lack of knowledge bothers you than do something about it. If it doesn't then say screw off to everyone else. I love to learn. I am a trivia hound, I was raised to be one but I get that other people might not know the esoteric things I might. Then again I'm a political null, I have no interest in it.I can't even tell you definitively what party our President is. So I can get the fact that learning stuff you have no interest in is really not for you. I speak to the subjects I know and if I do not know something that someone mentions and I'm interested I look it up. If I'm not interested then I don't worry about it. You are the only one who can really decide what you are going to learn in life. I encourage you to read widely and learn because I feel we should never stop but unless you care it won't do you any good because you won't retain the information. If you get tired of feeling ignorant then do something about it.

Hugs Nephy. Sometimes when a person is very strong others forget they have moments of vulnerability and need as well. I'm sorry you can't get what you need to nurture you as a person, sacrificing your happiness for your child is very very admirable. I know as a parent we're supposed to but 'supposed to' doesn't make it any easier. I admire your choices, I know how hard they are. Hugs and luvs!!

I don't really care about the porn honestly. Plus I've noticed at least most hetero porn is pull out because they like to have the 'money shots'. As for myself, being married and in the same relationship for so long without an outside partners I haven't considered needing condoms well, really, ever. And when I did it was procreation issues, not std's. Personally I hate condoms.

Good luck with this. It's a very difficult choice. What do you WANT to do? Do you want to take the job in your current company? Is it possible to pinch or change your current bill outtake by moving or reducing things to make it work at your current job? Can you guarantee those other job's monetary promises are going to come through? It is sooo much easier to find a job when you have one so not making a hasty choice is definitely preferable. However, I understand the the total quagmire that increasing debt due to insufficient income puts you in. Sometimes you have no 'best' choice, just what is the lesser of the not so great options. Making 'more' money if you don't absolutely need it and turning down the smart choice in the long run to do so would be unwise. Really weighing your options and making your choice based on long term projections of both the value of things now and what they might be down the road is smart. Will those other jobs continue to have the same or higher wage earning capabilities as your current job in the future? You aren't being greedy, really. You are trying to figure out what is best both currently and for your future. Only you can say which is more important.

Exactly! If i am really 'feeling' the story I can write any of the emotions. I guess emotion mostly comes into play for me for the actual writing, not the content I'm writing. Good point!

I'm not that connected to my writing to need to be experiencing an emotion in order to be able to write it. I can be perfectly fine and write torture and angst for my characters (partly because it causes me glee, I'm horrible, I know). However I do find whatever mood I am in does tend to leak out. Humor a character finds in a moment of sadness, a space of quiet contemplation after a joyful meeting, sadness and death suddenly striking, those come out because of how I feel. If I can't focus enough on the story to really pay attention to the characters and their tale then I just don't write.

Huh. Sounds like you are thinking too much. btw, love the books from the first class, I read most of those in grade and middle school. Robison Crusoe was a fav of mine when I was 10. You've always seemed a bit like a Tom Sawyer to me. Irascible, always in some form of trouble and yet essentially good at heart. This blog is all about you being down on yourself. Lighten up. No, that was not 'light up', though that helps some people relax it sounds like you are using it more to function normally. Do something new, getting laid might help with the immediate fugue but you need something to shake up your life. I can't really give you any idea of specific things to try but I'm sure if you think about it you'll figure it out. A dom boyfriend might help you figure out what you're slacking in but would you really listen to someone telling you what to do if you don't agree? Somehow I doubt that. Good luck!

Barring the wish to not have to worry about money endlessly and bad economies I don't have it half bad. I'm with someone I love, I have kids I love and other family close by. The thing that would change my life the most, to get rid of the pain I have daily, isn't really possible but I've found that you can live with just about anything. We're not the the 'truck nuts' kind of folk. I'm not quite that flavor of redneck I don't know as I'd never see a guy with them but to be sure they'd be gone before I set foot in the vehicle. Josh leans more toward stickers, he has a line across the bottom of his back window with hunting stickers. Only one is 'offensive' though. It sure ticks off the tree huggers in my Moms club with I drive the truck. I just laugh.

I was born in Florida and visited off and on. I will have to say it's hot and muggy, even in spring. I was there once in January and it was 90 degrees. Sunblock, lots of water and enjoy! I don't like the sun but even I enjoyed the change from cold and rainy. Have fun traveling and working for a good cause!

That is so hard! I lost a bunch of peers as a teenager and pre-teen but have been lucky as an adult to have that not be the case. It's never easy when you are faced with the knowledge that death is not always the logical conclusion of a long life hopefully well lived. It can be senseless and sudden and tragic. It can weigh on your mind but instead of focusing on the bad aspect that it can happen really at anytime I try to focus and make each day be one that I would be able to say I was satisfied with. I strive for happy but I'm way too tempermental for that
