I'm reading it the second time and I was just sorry I didn't review it the first time around because i love the story!

I like the story and for me it's the first one on asexuality. Interesting, and a lot to think about. I didn't spot the ending because I guess I was thinking about another matter, not quite related to the story. I was thinking, asexuals should be able to love, right? But then, it was about eliminating the sexual tension so I guess that doesn't matter. And kinda sad to see a nice guy like Sam being single, no? I like the writing obviously. Some word choices made me smile, for example "Matt let the MATTer stew". Well, I'm not sure if you had written that intentionally, but then, I do like writing that makes me smile. For me, that's something about the author I like.

I like this story a whole lot, and feel very personally connected. Either it's being cut away from Internet, or being the unaccpeted one at school, this story stirkes home. And I do like the twist towards the end. Short as the story, I already feel very connected to Iswirl Viulve. And it's so nice that it's the anagram of the mantra, "I will survive." And I wonder how it'll be for Herk and Brett.

It's more or less the same for me to come out to my mom, sans the love of my life, so it's definitely a tearing moment when reading it and it touches me in more ways than one. And guess what, my mom knew too. It's so well written that I don't mind embarassing myself crying in public reading from a cell phone. I'm just surprised from reading the thread that it's your first entry to anthologies. Just fab.

Now, I can't leave the second installment of my favorite story here un-reviewed, now can I? I love the story, and I love the drama in between. I'm no good with kids, so I'm not sure if I like the addition of the three children, nah, it adds to the story and i like that.

Yep, definitely still love the story! As we speak, I have already re-read this story for a third time, maybe? And, how can I not leave a review for one of my favorite stories here? Definitely love Mike. I have mixed feeling about Matt because of obvious reasons. But the epilogue made me cry like a wuss the first time, and it did tear me up as I read just now.

Definitely different, good different. Very interesting. You have obviously shaped the world Adonis is in very well. Also I feel for him when he was to sign the papers and feeling so lonely on Makat. However it feel just teeny tiny bit anti-climatic at the end. That said, it was a great read. Thank you!

The pacing of the story is a bit abrupt and erratic, but I don't mind it. I do like Joe. I just wish I can be more connected to Joe.

So highly erotic but so freaking creepy at the same time...

I love how the "never going back" was underlying the whole story. And I also love the opening, essentially what draws me into the story, the description of the sunset. I do like that the definition of "light" and "dark" is unclear. Also unclear is the narrator's gender. It reaches more souls this way. And it's a love story~! Well, I'm a hopeless romantic, so... Very nicely written. What a great read!

I'm just curious. I do understand that the reason whether writers chapter-ise their stories differs, but the basic concept for this topic and poll is that short stories and novelettes aren't chaptered whereas novellas and novels are. (Word count) As for myself, I always found myself attracted to chaptered ones, because once I read a story I'm easily attached to the characters and I want to know more about them. However, I basically don't read 'In Progress' stories because I can't stand the wait. I always wait until they're "Complete." Also, I enjoy the quarterly anthos so much. I found them short and easier to finish. So basically I don't know which I'll choose.. I prefer to write short stories tho. Just because they're easier, as in shorter length. I love writing longer ones tho, but I always find myself losing my muse and stuck halfway. Anyways, I'm curious about your preferences.
