I can see what you mean about cheepening friendship by calling a stranger a friend, but, there are also degrees of friendship. Someone you havent met yet is a potential friend and therefore whats wrong with calling them that. If you, eg. working in the radio industry, you need to sound friendly. while people listening to you arn't your close friends, there's a kind of bond, what can we call that. Most of us don't know each other, while we may not be close, there's a certain friendship, or maybe, connection there isn't there. I know what you mean though about your bringing friends home and calling them his close friends. i know of people who calls everyone they meat their best friends. John, totally agree about bailing you out at 3 in the morning. but what's the most amazing thing your friends done for you, it could be dumping you in the shower when you were drunk, watch you all night when you weren't feeling all that good, something that no one else would do,

Friendship is the voluntary glue that holds together the hearts of complete strangers, making them family by choice. I'm truely blessed for having the type of friends with staying power. For me its about just being yourself with those people, completely yourself and being able to tell them anything and inspite of that, or what ever you say, they accept you unconditionally. Also for me, a friend is someone who'd understand and just be there, without even speaking and being loyal when you're at the bottom of the social scale

I'm getting to like you more and more, you're a hun and you sound like someone who'd really pull out all stops if you knew someone was in need, thanks for your support for many of the guys on ga, I just luve your reviews, to the world you may be one person, but to one person you may mean the world, keep friendship alive

Neither, in certain instances subtlety could work, I'd lean towards B but not so much of the detailed describtion. Just one or two words could give the reader the extent of their feelings for each other, or have them do something that leads a reader to imagine the extent of their love

I agree with Nef on criteria, they need to complete each other cause its all about ballance, how do they resolve conflict, and ofcourse, there's the ah, moment at the end of the story. Its also about the way they speak to each other, tone of voice, caring, being able to anticipate each other's needs. Onto my couples, jack and zowee, from, Mary Brown's, Playing the Jack, dono how many of you've read that, Jeff and Tracy whitney, from If tomorrow comes, Sam and brian, from, It started with brian, because at the end, they were as one inspite of everything that happend before.

Some very use the term, buddy, pal, mate. There are those that have 100s of friends and those that have a limited number. What are the degrees of friendship and do you make friends easily? What are some of the qualities in a friend you'd most want and have you been successful? Was there a time that your friend supported you through a difficult time and what was the length they'd go for you. On the other hand what do you do when a friend lets you down? are you vendictive and take revenge or do you simpley move on? Whose your friend, and can you form a word picture of that person, so much so that we feel that we almost know them? Are you able to easily forgive your friend whose let you down. Celebrrating friendship

I try to keep my online persona as honest as possible, what you read is what you get, that just is the real me, on the other hand I'm more than someone who types in words, its actions as well that counts. I find I'm more vocal or i should say, I have more to say on the site, than making small talk for the sake of it. the thing about lying, the more you lie, the more you have to remmember, chat soon

is there that one song that, when it's played, makes you want hurl something at the radio or cd player. it could be because of the artist's raspish voice, or, your house or room mate played that song so often, that it became a case of overkill. The one song that makes you grind your teeth, throw your toys out of the cot and promise to give your mate, anything, anything, if they'd turn it off. Mine has to be, the song from titanic, it just went on and on and on....... go wild

I'm some where in between. I'm disorganised, papers and books lying around, unmade bed, hair brush and creams lying on my headbord, but there's method in my disorganisation, I just know where things are. But food, smelly dishes, stale food lying around, no, no, no. That is something that makes my brain dial 911. I lived with my friend and the one time we left the dishes for a week, I'll never do that again. I don't mind being disorganised but not food in your bedroom that's gone off and has been lying tthere for days. Keep it clean, cheers

No Brad and Mat, definately, no. It may lead to tension, and I agree with most of the reasons for not having that happen, but I'm sure there are other more interesting angles, If that happens, we already know the reactions of the various role players, hense, it does become prodictable. But give me a better sinario to it happening, I may just buy it, but gut reaction, no

Would You Follow A Straight Narrator?
Heart replied to methodwriter85's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
depends how interesting the straight narator is. maybe there are some interesting sex scenes from his perspective, gay or straight, I don't really care -
Sometimes when we touch, Dan Hill. At 17, by Janis ian, Only yesterday, Caron Carpentor, Eric clapton's Tears in heaven, Bob Carlyall's Butterfly kisses, I know this may seem like an odd choice, but that's just some that really moved me and remind me of cerrtain people in my life

Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice. friendship is the voluntary glue that holds together the hearts of complete strangers, making them family by choice. you may have found and lostit but remmember, when love dies you don't have to die with it. Money can buy you a fine dog, but only love, can make it wag it's tale. its not the snake bite that kills, it's the spread of poison

Hey there, I'm from South africa and definately not, there would be on outcry and ask the sabc, our public broadcaster to take the show off air. I remmember hosting a regular weekly sex show on radio, and it was amazing the number of calls that came through in the first two weeks saying that the sex therapist needs to get some action himself, instead of being interviewed on the subject. things and tempers, did simmer down after that, but television shows the way you described, a definate no no. Take care, and happy pillow talking

Being a good friend to those around me, travel, I'm also happy in my job, just enjoying being with friends and sharing experiences and I'm fortunate enough to mostly be able to live my dreams, acept the hot ones, Hugs, take care

Agree with most of you. I enjoy sex scenes but not in every chapter, plot development, strong story line, is key for me. I believe though that including the sex scene could be used to move the plot forward, its little things about ones personality that would provide more insite, hense, if that is the purpose then, yes, I like detail, but not pages and pages of it. Make describing it an art. profanity, it's fine, because that's how some people speak and forms part of reality, no probs with that, again, used sparingly, hey you guys rock

Definately shower, the water hitting on your body, turning the taps on high, so even if you sing badly, the sound of water would drown that, dancing as well, fantacies? never been ther, haven't done that, I love steamy showers, keep it clean, and keep the passion
