  1. It sounds DELICIOUS! I hope they are beef-eater sized chapters that you can really tuck in with.
  2. Welcome Thorn Wilde. Care to share the storyline of your novel? I look forward to reading it. Be Welcome!
  3. Yepper, he's 17 alright. ROTFLMAO
  4. Welcome Blackman. Nobody said they have to be good to be posted here. lol, however it helps. But you will find lots of help if you're looking to be even better. I'll look forward to reading your stories. Make sure you check the faq's to see the rules and ask CIA if you have any questions about propriety and such. Be welcome!
  5. You? Real life challenges? I thought you had it on Easy street Mark. Being the prof and all, that usually means you have someone to give your lectures, someone to grade homework and all you had to do is point and prop your feet up. You mean you have real challenges? Like where will you get your starbucks latte when your intern goes on vacation? Go figure.
  6. Welcome hotfirefighter2001. You'll find yourself amongst friends here. Be welcome!
  7. An excellent chapter. I was able to listen in pieces between rehearsals. Actually I just couldn't wait. Now, this is not the first time this has been suggested as I recall. He was asked about this by the ambassador on his trip home I think when war with Spain was eminent. It would have to make you wonder though what would make it worth it to them? There certainly has to be more at stake. So the question is really what to they stand to gain with such a payout. And will granger be able to parley naval supplies from therein port if he agrees? Granger doesn't know he has one more ship in his little fleet yet either. So there is a third option. Let the prize crew escort the Galleon and allow the Santa Clarita to accompany him on his way to his final destination. Perhaps the col will accompany him and Granger can give him command of the little merchant ship and he won't lose any of his staff. What ever happens, its gonna be good. Thanks Mark. I really needed this fix.

    Chapter 37

As I recall, this is not the first time such a thing has been suggested. The real question is will he take it? And can he get naval stores there in port if he agrees?
  9. MAN! I can't believe you waited until I'm ten minutes from rehearsals to post it. GAWD! This creates noticeable vacuum!
  10. Jimmy, can you say fickle?
  11. suck up
  12. This is Lord Arbour speak for, this chapter is really gonna piss off a lot of people if they have to wait for resolution. I say, post it now and let the begging begin.
  13. Welcome all! You'll find this a really fun place with a lot of good people. Be welcome!
  14. welcome back tori and Thadeous, be welcome. A person that reads for proper word use, grammer and puctuation is called a beta reader and they do their craft last, just before posting. And you'll find erotica is predominantly what you'll find here. I needs to follow the guidelines and can't just be a jerk-sheet. As long as the sex is part of the storyline and they are of approprite age, not forced and the such you'll find it is welcome. If you have questions not addressed in the faq's ask CIA and you'll get a direct answer. Be welcome. And Mark Arbour is MY favorite author. Particularly his Bridgemont Series
  15. A fantastic Chapter Lord Arbour. I think the next part of this will include a parley flag by the Spaniards in an attempt to stall Granger from leaving until their Ship of the line shows up to take care of their problem for them. Perhaps dinner with the Spaniards will either reveal nothing about the ship of the line being sunk or perhaps he will deliver that little tidbit himself. I'm sure Calvert will also prosper. I wonder what he will get besides the naval candy they desire.

    Chapter 36

Lord Arbour this was a great chapter. Thank you. It will be doubly interesting to see what treasures both find. I suspect that Granger will have better luck with the Governor of this province. Especially when he sees Granger in his collar. No doubt they will wish to parley to try and stall them until the ship of the line shows up to rid them of Granger. Perhaps a truce will be initiated by the Spanish to accomplish this, an invite for dinner, where they will have their dreams of rescue and conquest vanquished. Oh to be a fly on the wall.
  17. welcome Sasha, I think you'll find a nice group of people here. And we are always looking for new stuff to read. There are lots of helpers here as well. Enjoy and be Welcome.
  18. Well now that Paternity is over maybe we'll get some of that focused writing he was talking about. And I'm hoping that since he has been out of country for a bit he's doing research. And Jimmy, . . If that works . . . well just let me know if your knees get tired. I've got a pair of knee pads laying around someplace from the last time I had to ask for a raise. I'm sure they're still in serviceable condition. If you'll pardon the pun.
  19. ya, what HE said!

    Chapter 14:Mistakes

A good chapter. I'll have to go back and reread to put it in context again. But ending it in a cliff-hanger after not posting the next chapter for months doesn't ingratiate you to this particular reader. You don't need a hook when your story stands well on its own, which yours does; And always has. You're a good writer. I understand that life gets in the way. But cliff hanging your readers after a 7 month wait will make many just wait until its tagged "completed" before they bother to read it again. Something even Cosmie is learning. I confess, My story TIC has been left standing for some time. I'm making sure I have a back log of chapters before I continue it. Life still hasn't straightened out enough that can be consistently creative and I don't want to short change the readers. But rest assured, my next chapter won't end in a cliff hanger. Again, you are a great writer, keep going. Its a great story being told well. I'll watch for the next chapter, and the next and the next.
  21. No Problem. I can wait. Is it done yet? How about now? ok, ok. I'll let you get back to it. . . . 0.o
  22. Sniff, sniff. Just checking the wind.
  23. I'm all a twitter. It's close to a posting! . . . Well I'm hoping anyways. It's Monday here anyways. So there's hope. Right? I mean he was working on it two days ago so that's a really good sign.
  24. Awesome, I can't wait. I use Glary utilities to clean my registry and to control the apps that start when the computer does. I've found that a LOT of software programs feel their are entitled to some of my ram to check for updates. Like Java, adobe reader, flash and apple everything. I always uncheck those so they are not loaded because they check for updates everytime you start the program anyways so why surrender your ram for nothing? Just don't uncheck anything that is system related and you're golden. Always do a scandisk once a month too. It will always say you can't do it right then but would you like to schedule it for the next reboot. The answer is always yes. Then reboot. That will free up ram as well. When ever your computer locks up and you have to reboot. it saves and reloads all that confused data back into ram. It can pile up if not emptied or cleaned up this way. Glary can take you to that place under the windows system tools tab. Glary is a free utility. Just watch when you install it ecause it wants to give you an ask toolbar as well. Always decline. And every time you start glary it will say there is an update. Ignore it and tell it no.you can find glary utilities by searching with google for glary utilities.
  25. Music to my ears!
