  1. Well the fat is in the firs so to speak. A lot happened in this chapter. It will be interesting to see why Jacob and Mathew's mother thinks in the morning. It is a little troublesome that she noticed Mathew in the mix as being changed though. And Nicholas! Score one for the home team. I really expected Mathew or their mom to show up while they were so "at it" in the pool. But that's me as a writter. I love to lead the reader down the garden path and then make a sudden left turn. A great chapter to a great story. On to the next!
  2. The dream starts to take on life. The relationships seem to be taking form. I am liking it more and more with every chapter. Well done.
  3. Mr Pine tree? Really? I mean I could understand Mr Oak. lol thought that the mooning and singing would be more useful to the story if he did not see that Kyle was there until he was in full moon state. Then he could have been appropriately embarrassed. And the speedo was not found to be growing in the pool? Especially when he wasn't used to it and it was a little small. I would think he would fill it amply. But it goes well. The picture obviously means he has something in his past that causes him pain. An all to familiar scenario in real life. I hope this story really evolves into the moving love story it appears to be moving towards. On too the next!
  4. The stage is set. I like the characters although I prefer to have the reader find out the looks and demeanor of each character through their dialog. Having said that, it looks like it is going to be a great story. Thanks for sharing your talent. Off to the next! Cheers, r

    Chapter 16

It sounds like Mr Conway is going to be a real asset. And having Gatlin on board should help keep the rats in the chart-room in check. One can only hope. And they are underway! Glad to see them over compliment. Now he has more people to deliver prizes. And we have to see what she can do in action don't we? I suspect that wont take long. But first he'll have to put her through some maneuvers to see how she does. A bit of sailing foreplay so to speak. Test her limitations. Well done as always Lord Arbour.

    Preparations

Wait, did I read that right? your FIRST story? I think I have five and one in print and none of them are as well written. I'm really jealous now. I might have to go pull mine down to avoid the embarrassment. You need a good beta reader but other than that it is simply awesome.
  7. OK, I have to tell you that I love the story but this chapter took me back a little. They had traveled to the UK and then Mike and stace were there too? And then the last two lines he's back in the UK again with his dad going down the hall. If it was a memory then I missed the set up for it. I'm going on. Perhaps the time warp then will be straightened out. But I love the story. I needed those tear ducts flushed anyways. But if he ends up committing suicide I will be really pissed that no warning was given. And if you are a UK'er, I mean pissed as angry, not drunk.

    Bad Dreams

Heart wrenching sadness. Incredibly well written. You need a good proof reader but its still awesome. I DO proof read if you have not yet found one. Well done. On to the next.

    Departures

An exceptional writing style! Love it. Great wordflowers that create great mind pictures and sucks you right in. I'm completely hooked.

    Chapter 15

As always. More questions than answers. Gotta love how complex your mind is. More in the forum. But it was a fantastic chapter. Thanks!

    Chapter 14

The only thing I hate about your chapters is the end of one because I know that I am to sit and watch for midnight Saturday night for the next. And how this is twisting up is a trademark Mark Arbour intrigue. Keep his eyes open for treachery is putting it mildly. With walls so thin it will be difficult for Granger to have ANY visitors. Rats or otherwise. I am anxious to see how the little Baron will save the day but somehow I think he must play a significant role in the whole matter. There is obviously something that he alone can provide in the way of saving the doctor or disarming Maidstone. An excellent chapter Mark. I will retire to the forum for more. You have set quite a stage and I think the grand is about to be raised now that this cross over has completed. Well done.

    Chapter 13

Fresh meat! lol, Well done, a great chapter. More in the forum later today. Awesome chapter.

    Chapter 12

An excellent chapter my Lord Arbour! Even Cavendish's posterior slammed shut at the name Sir Tobias Miadstone. And Even Specer was afraid of him. What hornets nest just got kicked? And I suspect that even with a kingly pardon it sounds like Maidstone might seek some frontier justice. And (If I surmise it correctly) being the son of the Earle of Winchilsea? His father holds a position equal to Earle of Bridgemont. (Hey, I may be getting the hang of this peerage thing.) ANd 1769 the peerage changed hands to Lord George Finch-Hatton. So either his father just became the Earle or is about to croak. But any way it goes. He is very close to the head of Parliment and probably not the Kings best friend. And perhaps not someone the king wants to ruffle, or maybe he does? Well the piss is in the pudding now as they say. Well done. And DAMN too short. The good ones always are. BUT! Perhaps a little action is waiting at the Noire?

    EPILOGUE

It was fantastic. And what a surprise ending! Who would have thought it would go this way. It was well delivered and I was a complete addict from the open to the end. I was completely hooked. I marathoned until six this morning. Well done.

    Chapter 11

A fantastic chapter Mark. And Calvert back in the fold. It seems they still have some unfinished business to attend to in the baths when this is all said and done. Andrews will not be able to return to the ship so it seems Portland Place will be the destination. They'll be looking for him on the ship. But still no word on Berties replacement. Taking his leave of his sovereign might be a little more interesting than the past, no? Especially if word of the doctor's leave without absence is made public. I wonder who the wealthy merchant is? I'll place bets it is someone in the Fox/Mann/Wilcox fort of influence. One thing is for sure, the next couple chapters will certainly be interesting. I can't wait.

    Chapter 10

Am excellent chapter. And who will add to the mess by going to replace Bertie? My guess is Sir Phillip. Only that could make the trip more awkward. He will swoon Calvert in Granger's very quarters. Profess his undieing love and then drop him like a hot rock. Winkler is going to be another challenge. But there is a surplus of new midshipment aboard. Perhaps he will gain the attention of one of them. And what of Mr Llewllyn? We never heard what ship he was on. But it is one in the area of the Noire. One with a most unfavorable captain. I worry for him.

    Chapter 9

A great chapter Mark. I love how your style just locks the reader into the scene. With so many questions looming, it may take until chapter 13 or 14 just to get out to sea. lol But you can't get prize money anchored in port. There is Spanish gold to be had and frog legs to be skewered. Well done Mark. I can't wait to see some answers. I honestly don't see Arthur making the trip. And such a move might just make him unstable enough to out the brotherhood. Poison might just be the mode of destruction. And if George was the target, Cavendish would do it without being asked. Hemlock. Cheers.

    Chapter 21

An Amazing chapter Cosmie. Keep it coming. I can't wait to see how Joel is going to take it. We know he knows. And he will probably take it better than most. He doesn't like gays but he's his best friend and if he wants to be an uphill farmer then so be it. As long as he keeps his hands to himself I'm sure. He just seems that way. The bigger question is, Will Tanner see the freedom of being out and will he decide to take the plunge himself? We know his family will probably not take it the same way. The plot thickens. I just hope there is more to come quickly. Too many open stories to do Justice to any one. But I'll take what you share. Thanks, you are such a fantastic writer.

    Chapter 5

OK, I should have read the reviews "before" I got hooked. Too late now. As usual, you write with a flare that is very appealing and completely addictive. Another fantastic story. I love ALL your stuff. But I also hate abandoned stories that leave your characters hanging in the lurch. You personify them so well that one can't help but wanting their situations to go through all the evolutions of life. So please don't let this one hang like "A Class Of His Own". Watching for the next chapter my friend.

    Chapter 7

Mr. Llewellyn assigned to another ship? Say it isn't SO! The heartbreak. Maybe they will find a way to get him onboard yet. I just can't imagine Holmquist onboard without Mr. Llewellyn. Sounds like Spencer did Granger wrong on this one. I hope the King understands. But it looks like he is soon to be off and away from this irritating mess. It's interesting that the press hasn't changed much since then. I'm as ready for him to be at sea as he is.

    Chapter 5

Brilliant Lord Arbour! Another fantastic adventure to this already captivating adventure. So much to say but I think I will take it to the forum. See you there!

    Chapter 4

An AWESOME chapter Mark. So he did not need to tell his parents about having a seat in the house of lords. I still have much to learn about the peerage. And the adventure begins!

    Chapter 3

UGH! You did NOT leave us hanging without knowing what the king has in store for Granger. That would certainly be a cheap trick played by someone beneath your station! It was obviousy a clerical error and I KNOW we will see the missing pages in short order. I know, I know, it's hard to find good help these ays. but sheesh!

    Chapter 2

A great chapter Mark. And the foundation for a new adventure and a new position at court will make for some interesting events. As I recall, there is an admiral in the west Indies that has a hard on for Granger. I am hoping that his new position at court and hard orders from the court give him sanctuary from the musings of his enemies. The mission of course will suck. I have no doubt that his brother will survive a recall, but the thought of Arthur on board for the entire trip is more than painful. I suspect that if he is not right upstairs then it would not be good to place him as governor either. I sense a misdirection coming.

    Chapter 1

What a fantastic begining. I can see where the original title came into mind I think. What a difficult time. And I think granger will find the loyalty of his men something unique. Perhaps an entire crew with vision and memory problems. Except one of course. There will have to be a fly in the ointment. I wonder if they will send Kerry with them to keep Arthur in check. If he loses his mind completely, Kerry could just be Bertie's replacement. The intrigue is already there Mark. This promises to be an eventful book. And it seems like everyone knows something that Granger does not. Some great honor is coming. And I'm not talking about the king seeing them off and perhaps cristening the ship. No, I mean on the return. It must make ranger nuts to know that something is afoot and to not know what. can't wait for the next, and the next, and the . . . well you get it.
