Chapter 2: "Tootsie Rolls And Eye Candy"
ricky commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 2: "Tootsie Rolls And Eye Candy"
oh oh, trouble in paradise. What happens: 1 When one of thier mom's walks in and catches them in the act? 2 When they find out the God is actually gay? Love your style and this is much better than the wanting and never getting of Billy Chase. Not that it's bad but it's frustrating. this is just hot. -
Chapter 1: "That Gloomy Day In March"
ricky commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 1: "That Gloomy Day In March"
Hot Hot HOt! I love it. Get right to it why don't ya? It will be interesting to see where you go with this. Loveing it. thanks! r -
An excellent battle! And an excellent chapter. So glad to see Mr Lennox back on board if only for a short time. Your ability to instill the excitement of the battle a clear sign of your writing excellence. I think I'm still breathing hard from the excitment. Thanks!
-
That was absolutely fantastic! I loved how you made the reader feel the angst almost as strongly as the character. I'm going to look at the extended piece. It's nice to see someone actually get some in one of your tease pieces. Thanks, Love your writing. Now if we could just get another chapter or two or three for In a Class of his own. thanks!

The gallantries of war. How difficult it must be for Granger to sit and watch and not be in the battle. I think it would have been more effective to have the frigets annoying the enemy. They could easily get a bow or a stern position when one of the floating corks turned to trade broadsides with the big boys. Since grappling was their mainstay of battle then why not wait until they were grappled and then toss molitof cocktails on the spanish ships. That would certainly change their direction of focus. I mean, it means no prize and they would certainly hae to risk not getting away from them, but it would certainly deter the practice. Just my thoughts of course. Pitch and turpintine and mineral spirits were plentiful. And of course lanolin.

Good riddens to bad trash. Humphries is going to be alright. Damn, Romance cut short.
-
Need I say it? And of course, the gunnar's daughter? Somehow it wasn't as enjoyable as when passing the fleet. lol I hope Mr Humphries learns his lesson. The arrogant little twit will be right as rain after a year of . . . enlightenment.

The adventure begins! And who could this sr midshipment be? See, being older has it's benefits. The memory goes and everything becomes new again. . . . I think. I don't quite remember.

COMMAND! And it's not temporary! What a feeling that had to be. Looking at this injured hull, laying a hand to it and speaking to it, the way a young boy talks to his first car, promising to care for it if it cares for him. Sharing his dreams of fun and excitement, not merely driving down the road, but taking excursions and adding that chrome shift knob he had a year before he got his license. It is that same reveie, that you managed to foster. Right along with the agony of responsibility, the fuel needed to keep her running, the insurance to make her legal and the lonliness of having to deny his friends ideas to go and do what might damage her or get you in trouble. "No, I can't risk losing the keys. Or worse! Losing my ride!" But in the end, it was all overshadowed by the adventure it promised. I wonder if Granger had the equivalent of fuzzy dice for her and the chrome foot print gas pedal? Love it Mark. On to the next.

So sad. Julian was so sweet too.

AH! A prize! And a nice one at that. and with a skelaton crew! lol loving it. Every minute of it. And Chilton! Where did THAT come from! Sweet.

I just can't keep saying "Great chapter" because at your worst, they would still be great. It will be interesting to see if the plan works with the French Frigate. I don't remember this part. perhaps the last two brain cells I have are pissed at each other. OFF to the battle!

Well there will be no shortage of respect. He was part of the British aristocrisy, just the type that the rebels gilotined. He could have easily found his head in a basket. Men of that type held no honor and a flag of truce would mean little compared to having the head of a British officer. He was lucky and fearless. I would hate to be him if Caroline found out he voluntarily went into a French enemy camp. Another great chapter.

The horror of it all. Article 28 was certainly something to be feared. And poor Mr Shaft. it seems like he was made a victim twice.
-
A touching chapter. Mr Schaft is receiving such now in a loving way. It is a shame they had to wait for the actual act in order for justice to be administered. And he certainly can't stay on board after this. We shall see how justice arrives for him.
-
A great chapter. And Granger is going to be a daddy! on to it.

An excellent chapter. And now we come to some action. Well done Mark. My second time through and I never tire of it. It is as exciting the second time as it was the first and once again I find myself angry that life interrupts my escape periodically and I have to leave my bubble of blissful suspended disbelief. But even then I find it exciting knowing that when I am able, I get to return to this fantastic story. A serious moment (Pay attention, they don't happen often.) : I love writing. Someday I might be more than fair. But I will consider myself extremely successful at it if I am ever able achieve even a fraction of your ability to draw the reader so completely into the story. Especially the way you are able to sustain it. Thanks, it is such a pleasre to have access not only to such a fantastic story, but to have access to the author as well, makes it even more famntastic. r

Too bad there wasn't three to swing at least. Perhaps four but I don't already dispise the first LT. But wilcox dismissed as a disgrace is probably better than hanging. He brought dishonor to his family. A family that is growing in shame. That is the second Wilcox to be dismissed from the King's service. Well done Mark.
-
Poor Mr Roberts, forced to be back with that mad man. At least Mr Granger will have a reliable source of information when he gets there.
-
Wilcox! What a lout. grrr, don't get me started. . . but an escort by Travers, well that almost makes it seem worthwhile. I loved the joust in which Wilcox was put in his place. And the shot about his nephew was priceless. Well done sir.
-
WAH HAAAAAAAAAAA! He's Goooone.
-
UGH! Bertie. I never liked the guy, even when he mellowed and made nice nice. Travers is . . . hot damn it! There, Ive said it alright?
-
Another Brilliant chapter Mark. I'm paying much more attention to deatils this time through and am understanding much more of the happenings at court, thank you. And Merry Freaking Christmas Bertie!
-
One of my favorite chapters. It is where he and Winkler bonded their fates together.
