  1. Don't let it get to you. For one of my stories, someone left a comment that he or she did not like my story because they saw it too manipulative. I just shrugged it and thought to myself that the person did not understand the circumstances my narrators were in. People either get the sotry or they don't. They formulate whatever they want about the story and you have no control over that so don't worry too much over it.
  2. Heh, for me it's gotten to a point where the people who exhibits those stereotypes kind of annoy me. Please don't add to the already skewed picture. High voice pitch and walk with the swinging hips, but somehow drag queens are alright with me... I'm a complicated person. >.< But yes it is annoying that people correlate things with a sexuality or aspect of a person as if those qualities don't exist if it was otherwise. Like he's only good at math because he's Asian or he's good at basketball because he's black, etc. It's the same with being gay. Dressing good and knowing how to mix drinks, cook, sew, etc isn't due to the fact that a person is gay. It's a hobby or interest and like any interests of a person, they're gonna know what they'll be doing.
  3. NOt a Supernatural fan though I'm a Jensen Ackles fan. I'll take him to go please. MMMMMMM.
  4. Oh I was just going to go on my artistic prose monologue and then realized people may take it the wrong way if I only made comments about the photogrpahy and not of the person. Kinda like avoiding the white elephant in the room only there wasn't one in this case. But I said it anyway to make sure is wasn't AWKWARD or mistaken that way. Heh.
  5. This is an amazing picture. Photograph wise... and of course person too (heh I was gonna keep writing and then realized my comment would have sounded mean). But I love the lighting and color.
  6. And that is what I agree with. They are a waste of money. I understand they were order not to do anything and i respect that. I would just like their titles to be something other than security guard. Because in that state... they are offering no security. Security guard is someone who brings security or protects security, what they are doing is nothing like that. I'd like Observationist. That's a more appropriate title.
  7. Girl gets beaten while security guards, and yes that is with an"s" watches. I understand why they watched but shit they should change the job description/title to Hall Observer and make the title known then people won't misunderstand. That girl went to the guards for a sense of security and she got none. Security Guard my ass. Where's the security in that situation? Ahem excuse the langauge.
  8. I missed the opening ceremonies! But I did hear about the luge athlete. And NBC actually ran the video which in my opinion was very thoughtless and without tact. They also showed the paramedics doing CPR on the guy when everyone knew the guy didn't make it. I mean really? I hate it when coporate heads make a decision to up ratings than think about the people they are exploting. They were thinking about themselves and not of others. Which reminds me of the Congressional interview of I believe Google (on Google's censorship in China... if I remember the right documentary)... I want to ask the person in charge who okayed the video what the congressmen asked the Google executives... if you were housing Ann Frank and the Nazis came knocking at your door demanding for her would you hand her over? Eh and sorry I'm not trying to make this post political... Yes I want to see the opening ceremonies!!! To revert the subject back!
  9. Apollo Anton Ohno, I'll get female parts so I'll have your kids!!! Man speed skating was instense. Anyone watch it? I thought for sure the Koreans was gonna sweep the metals. Woooo. Intense!
  10. Dun dun da dun dun duuuuuuun.... Woot. Any kind of skating: speed, figure, dance. I also like the snowboard/ski freestyles.
  11. Hells yes. Thanks.
  12. The gays were here longer than that too I would bet. It's a natural thing I would say. But the world would never accept such a thing (as of right now).
  13. It's nice to know that there are those who will speak up for those too afriad to do so or cannot. Thanks! And go you!
  14. Fail? I think over 4 million copies sold for each book is not failure. Somehow that series had captivated the mass. I have to admit I read all 4 books and I concur as I fail to see how people can obsess over these books. Harry Potter I can understand. The Percy Jackson series I feel should recieve more attention and the Maxium Ride books I see the last two books as failures... Twilight is an anomaly. Though truthfully I would hope to have the success of Twilight when my "mainstream" book gets out (if ever). The toy part is just ridiculous but I can see many older women imagining the SUPER hot AND underage Jacob thrust his hips into them.
  15. Oh you have to tell me how that book is. I want to read that book but am having reservations about it for soem reason. You should leave a comment on my profile. Both are excellant recommendations. The Road is written with elegance. Neil Gaiman is a great author. I love his quirky novels. I am reading: Flyboys: A True Story of Courage by James Bradley (a historical novel) First Lord's Fury by Jim Butcher (fantasy novel based on ancient roman era) On my read list: The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfield The Maze Runners by James Dashner
  16. "You have to realize you are not the only one in this world that is suffering." - I dont remember who... "Yes, by the end of Grease, Sandy had become your basic 1958 model ho: the girl who, after suffering months of rejection for being a party pooper prude who didn't drink or smoke, has finally realized that you do have to pet to be popular, you do have to put out to get the guy, and it's not the blondes who have more fun - it's the sluts"- Bitch- by Elizabeth Wurtzel "All things with a form eventually perishes, but these feelings inside <us> won't." - Can't remember this one either...
  17. Heh, people are strange. What I wanna know is.... WHERE THE HELL IS THAT THEATRE IN THE PICTURE!?! The guy on the right is like digging in a damn pizza. There isn't pizza at any of the theatres I have been in. And I been to many in 8 different states. A whole pizza in a movie in a theatre would be nice for some movies.
  18. This has to be a joke. Haha.
  19. There is actually a museuem showing dedicated to poop pieces. So yeah a good dump can be art. Art is very complex, the meaning that is. As an art major we always have this discussion with this very topic in some of my classes. It gets intense at times. Very intesne as some people's perception are very different. Take for example, Damien Hirst. I personally do not see some of his works to be art, but he is an artist. A very famous conceptual artist at that and one who makes a crap load of money. But crumpled piece of paper or a formaldehyde half of a cow for me ain't art. Or a pile of trash too. Yes these are all his real art pieces. But for me these things aren't art. That's my opinion. I don't think art can be explained simply by a few words. I do believe art takes creativity and a capacity to explore and understand emotions and feelings.
  20. LOL james that's a hilarious link as well. I love those kinds of Twilight stuff.
  21. My recommendations are Japan and South Africa. Oh and Thailand too... though I've advise some "to be wary of strangers" in Thailand and South Africa. The movie Brokedown Palace explains it kinda and although it's a movie, it happens. Japan on the other hand is a very safe country. I left my wallet on the shinkansen station, wandered around for 3 hours and realized it was gone went back and someone turned it in to the station attendant and the best part... my 500 dollars worth of yen was still there. I want to go back and stay longer than the two weeks that I went.
  22. Sigh but here THESE TWO LINKS ARE A MUST SEE!!!!! This is HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE...AND HILARIOUS and I'm serious... Buffy meets Edward. Now this is how a story with a kick ass female lead should be like... girl power... not some wimpy whiner who thinks about killing herself because some guy ditched her. And link number two is hilarious... talks about how Breaking Dawn the last book of the saga should be a movie and the best part.... every single thing he says IS true. He doesn't lie about the book, all completely true ( I know cause I read all four books.... and I own the fourth...I know)This is why Breaking Dawn should be a movie... Really you have to see this...
  23. Indeed an awesome person... always so encouraging to others about their stories. As she the first to comment on mine.
  24. LOL... finally I was waiting for this... and then they should protest all other things in the Bible. Basically if we were to go accoding to the Bible the whole world should just commit suicide as no one in this world could abide by those laws... except Jesus and well you know what happened to him. The brave man died so that others could continue to prosecute those they deemed beneathe them. They never got Jesus' message. *sigh*
  25. Vote for pockets here too. To buy no pocket jeans just because they look on you is not enough reason for me. If I'd go with that reasoning... I think a lot of guys should go without clothing because they look good in their birthday suit. Anyway personally I have about two pairs of relatively form forming that I am beginning to hate because I can't put anything in my pockets because it's a bit tight and uncomfortable. Not that I carry much anyway: car and house keys, 3 debit/credit crads, and my cell phone. I stopped carrying cash when I was 16... haha.
