    Chapter 11 - Adam

Living in north america, I so miss a real burger. Somehow here they think adding another meat patty makes it a better burger.... nope, its the pineapple, cheese, beetroot mushroms that make it all add up. As for pie floaters, they taste better than they look!

    Arnold Jurgenz

This was the funniest chapter I have read in a long while: "I feel stupid.’.....‘You are, but look magnificent.’ " and "your tackles pretty ordinary, but your body 's not"! I am so glad Fidel keeps running into the right people... he could get into so much trouble. Great fun, thanks.
  3. Bart plays bridge! He becomes more perfect every day! That feeling of dancing and betting lost in yourself, it is amazing, and in that decade and a bit between being stressed out, strung up and straight and certifiably old, I do recall that amazing feeling. Good to read about. What a blissful chapter. Thank you.

    Chapter 5 - Ember

From the moment AJ introduced Novy I could see this train wreck coming! Nothing like a great tangled mess to resolve to make a wondeful story! Thanks!
  5. Bart is back😍 As soon as I read "Sanjay and Monique", I really hoped that that incredibly sensible bloke with the body of a greek god (tho' slightly better hung) would be back too... and he is....《sigh》 The economics lesson was interesting. I do wish they would tax money and not labour; it wouldn't solve every problem, but it would reward human activity at the expense of money that simply earns money. The university question is problematic. I deliberately did not go to university "to get a job", i did a classics degree (greek & roman history and philosphy, the classical tradition etc) and i admit that the quantum of "useful" knowledge that I came out with was not great, but I do think it help me think, it developed my interest in reading, it helped me analyse the utter crap that some of our leaders spout. So ultimately I am pro university. Just don't let it turn you into a hammer, so that every problem becomes a nail. Great story. Monique and Sanjay are just what our hero needed to mentally remove him from one of the worst mothers you have designed to date!

    Escape

well, what a cheery start! I suppose the only way is up.... but then this is a Rigby Taylor story, so we all know "up" is a very flexible direction.... I can't say "great beginning", because the poor bastard seems have gone from miserable to benighted.... so how about "you write misery well"

    Chapter 14

Well, I am pleased that K/D-evan are speaking and being civilised to eachother. I am still not sure re Ashley. She has her group that seem to bring out the mean little birch princess in her. Hopefully the talk with that all round great person Camerons Mum will help make her see her situation for what it is. Devkns father making him work "to pay" for what he has done is stupid parenting and just another way to make this harder. Yes get a job, but it cannot be a punishment and at 16 making life seem pointless is not a way to move everything forward successfully. Yet another example of other peoples morality making life harder. Life is not easy; there is no benefit to anyone making it more difficult.
  8. bloody marvellous - no last minute hitches! I can imagine all those women at Oasis and Calumnia's mother all trying to "fix" their stories as they were being called by the police....! Hopefully Calumnia did not leave a will - I can imagine the last person it would benefit would be Arch, where as under common law, he as husband would inherit the lot...whatever "the lot" was... (a dented candlestick? ) Great end to a wonderful story. Looking forward to the next steps/stages/characters! Thanks, much appreciated.

    Chapter 13

I agree, but I am not sure it being "PC", I think at times people literally try too hard. They try and make it inclusive non discriminatory appealing etc, whereas if people could just accept, until proven otherwise, that people are generally trying to be inclusive. The same with the alpabet soup that GLBT has become. I am notsure back in the day when we started using this we ever imagined we were excluding anyone, because even back then it was used as a descriptor of people who were "not straight". While I am sure most people do not care what descriptor you give yourself, by over complicating it, it literally hands a baseball bat to those who only see 1 "normal". Rant over!

    Chapter 4 - Brady

There was no way on gods little earth that interview was going to be anything but an utter train wreck... Brady's either got balls the size of texas, a brain that would go well in a trump cabinet, or be so far beyond desperate he's not thinking.... I suspect the latter! Great for the unexpected update!

    Chapter 13

A great partnership is all about each partner thinking and caring more about their partner than themselves. Great chapter, thanks.
  12. Who knew faking a death could be so complicated?😆 This may be a holday, but hardly stress free... I felt stressed reading it! Great read, i do like how their well rehearsed plan encounters hiccoughs. Added stressors. Thanks.
  13. I'd respond in german, except my knowledge of that langauge is limited to "Wie viel kosten diese Kartoffeln?"🤔 useful, but not really appropriate.....😏
  14. saying you follow this bloke for his CONVERSATION , yep, just sooooo believable!
  15. "Calumnia wasn’t yet rigid so they made lunch. It wasn’t a jolly meal." That has to be one of the best lines I have read for a long time!! Obviously I was not right about the long walk on a short pier; i should have said "self inflicted with candlestick in the head in the dining room"!!! Mr Rigby Taylor, your imagination is a truly scary place! Makes for a wonderful read tho'! Thanks , bloody marvellous.
  16. Yep, that feeling when your first thought, evey first thought, is about your other, that feeling that takes you as a whole person and makes you feel more complete. Congratulation Mort, getting a lover and father on the same day. As far as calamity jane, she needs to seriously take a long walk on a short pier. Whatever redeeming features she may have once had, they are done, dusted and buried. Great chapter. Majority are likeable characters ( which, i think, is a first for any chapter!)🤔😋
  17. "Young"! 😆😅 Thank you for the compliment!
  18. Zadig! Voltaire's destiny.... very good! The naming of your dramatis personae continues its cunning and interesting path! I am worried about Arch... his arch fishwife is not going to go easily... and what Hercules game? His sex with Calumnia seems perfunctory and pedestrian; there no love, there barely seems any lust on either side, so is it blackmail? Thanks again, a great read!😆

    Chapter 13

while Devin's in a less than optimal place, at least its not 1950... at least Devin, the child and the child's mother can all go on and lead decent lives. Different to what they had expected, but decent, nevertheless. good story. thanks.

    Forgotten?

I feel embarrased for my ignorance.
  21. Ah, hmm, like I said last comment....sometimes arousing...😀😮😌 Mort certainly seems to have found his feet...and every other organ he posses! Please not escorting. Lots of money, but money has never been Morts driving force, and as a profession, I am not sure its all that easy...
  22. Shocked? Mr Rigby Taylor, we are 30 chapters in, people have been seduced, murdered, dismembered, drowned, they have had sex in every position known to man, so amazed, delighted, thrilled, startled, bemused, at times even aroused, but shocked? No, not since about line two chapter 1! Somehow its not "shocking" if you expect the unexpected. And with your writing, it is always unexpected, its what makes it so much fun!
  23. Mort is a very qualified "virgin", but while he meets a very technical, highly specific definition, to my mind he is about as much a vergin as I am... and frankly as a sexual partner, virgins are the pits. Someone like Mort who has an idea about the body, what he and his partner likes, is far more fun than some innocent who fantasises about losing their "cherry"!

    Forgotten?

@droughtquake, this is neither time nor place to get into discussion re support for low income earners/ the unemployed. BUT, I have to say EVERY civilised country except the US has moved beyond "food stamps" for its social safety net. Yes, some countries including Canada where I live use the truly apalling system called "employment insurance" as a poor excuse for a safety net. The vast majority have a universal income tested system that can be called "welfare". Until we can work out a UBI, its the best on offer. Expecting people to feed themselves on $200 a month is punishing someone for being poor, unemployed, unable to be employed. It should not be applauded any where any time.
  25. Gaol or cemetery, either works.....
