Frankie keeps finding these "soul mates for now"; A by-product of travel. I do hope he has some sort of diary, it is great to go over these decades later! And now the next adventure!
-
He might have been sexier if he had been๐๐๐๐๐ Corrected, in original. Thanks!

When you can't roast a chicken, your cooking skills are at the starter end of the scale! But full marks for turning a disaster into something interestingly edible. Adam's back story is getting curiouser and curiouser.....

Your "bad" characters do find previously unexplored depths of depravity. I am rather glad karma caught up with them. The gaul gall of Michael to ask them to help him as he lay bleeding... Shivs transformation is dramatic. From what I can tell 1 million rupees is about CAD20k. Not a huge investment. Really goes to show that a lot of poverty alieviation is not about trillion dollar investments, its about micro investments in people. Hope Frankies money is still intact, he may be resourceful and courageous, but a little cash helps!

Really enjoying this as his relationships develop, but the shopping scene was just excellent! Single man shopping, meets well brought up kid shopping! It always amazes me some of the junk people fill trolleys with. Artie has it right!
-
I was imagining that Michael was doing the saving (helping Frankie) while Lu was raping Shiv, or have I misread it? After all this he had better survive and find true love!๐

Wow! Is a very appropriate response to this chapter. I wasn't expecting sweetness and light, and some how knew it was a bit of a con, but the level of depravity makes the "monastery" a real @Rigby Taylor invention! Glad our hero attracted the appropriate attention for the moment, not sure it will be right in the long term. Gay night clubs in Kolkata sound dodgy! As ever loking forward to the next step in the saga...

Sorry, who taught this dumb f*ck english? "As for where david is" sounds like a francophones translation of latin into english..... Apologies to all.
-
@Wesley8890 and @JeffreyL, that would explain why his parents were so horrified by Adam, Sarah and Artie. The Ky and Dizzy thing is going to get interesting. I am not sure Artie quite understands yet.... Great read. Thanks.

You seriously want me to write out San Francisco every time I mention it?๐๐๐๐๐ SFO is just such an easy acronym, as well as being the airport (and a better airport than most). Here in Calgary it is regualrly referred to (in writing) as YYC.

The only way is up... While I am sure Simon must be dead (i am pretty sure a detective would not be assigned if he wasn't dead) the only thing we can hope for is that its a false id, ie Simons id was planted on someone else. Faint hope, but.... As for where David is....? Great story, horrific twist, but hopefully a little sunshine from here on????

Possibly not hell, but close to a frigid version of it. I do hope that having survived his journey there Frankie finds what he is looking for. I don't need 24/7 mod cons, and I do like some quiet solitude, but several thousand metres up, in a barren ex monastery being "looked after" by someone that seems more interested in my genitals? Nope. But, as they say, horses for courses! Very interested in the next stage...

She would say that... but then so would Carter, but my guess is, on this occasion, right. Wwll i hope like hell Carter is right. That said, our hero needs to get over it. He's got carter, and the ....less desirable female... doesn't and that's all that matters. But he has to get off his bloody hobby horse to realise it.

Gread read. People (that is characters) are being asked to make decisions, to fit into categories that they just aren't ready or equipped to make, assuming that actually need to make them. Great dynamic! Wonderful read thanks.

North Texas bible thumpers to free thinking SFO, enough to make anyone doubt their life completely. Great that Artie has found an eclectic group that will both ease his transition and help him grow. Enjoying this story very much!

Deep, intimate, but fleeting connections can have a meaning far beyond the simple sex act, meal, or journey that prompted the connection. I think Frankie will remember this for a long time. Hopefully it will also have emboldened Sushant in his relationships with his family, so they all benefit. What a genuinely nice chapter. Thanks.

Great to have another episode in the life of our hero. The Russian attitude to ship building (quantity over quality) seems to be trait they maintained for several hundred years. Imagine what a power for good the Russians could have been with the resources they had/have if they had been better organised and better led. The relationship between Daventry and Grainger, both intelligent, each with differing skills, is proving critical. Daventrys advice regarding the returning captured warship was well given, tho' without the strong relationship, I think most commanders would have seen it as insolent. Great read, as ever.

"Censorious dogma on sex" very much more than heart warming....๐๐ค๐ "Line from history..." really @Rigby Taylor, your pretend naivety, ( temporarily distracted by James Bond and Xenia Onatop!), do you honestly know any one under half our age that would know the time as given over a telephone? Yes, sadly I agree, travel broadens the minds prepared to be broadened. That there are so few is very sad.... when my two sons went to SE Asia, and came back full of wonder and amazement, I realised I wasnt quite the failure as a dad as I had assumed! I am in awe and wonder at your brilliance! as a writer

Religion blinding yet another person. After the trauma of the kidnapping followed by the sucess of the rescue and GSA meeting, this must really make him feel down. A most unatural parent. Great read. Thanks

Well, that was a potted history of varieties of religous ethics and morality! Quite entertaining, if a slightly jaded view of each๐ The best line was and local time at the sound of the gong would be six thirty a.m. that is a line from history, and like "clockwise" will sson be something that millenials will have to "Google" to find out what it means! While I am the sort that doesnt usually talk on long distance flights, I have had a couple of great conversations with interesting people. I am a firm beliver in travel broadening the mind, and I think Frankies conversation did that... I wonder how this affair wil go?
-
well, parts of Texas have a reputation for being backward, but wherever this place is takes the cake! You wonder why people get off on being nasty to each other? it must take so much effort! Just hope that things improve - that sight of SFO hopefully is the start!
-
you have a way of building the tension! I was certain that the poor child was going to have to run away, and a 15 year old "running" from Texas to SFO would be no mean achievement! again religion manages to bring the worst out in people... Great start! Thanks

Confessions, Plot and Counterplot
Canuk commented on Rigby Taylor's story chapter in Confessions, Plot and Counterplot
amazing how sometimes the most simple of plans prove so very effective! Congrats Ingenio! While it is easy to criticise people like Prudence for being naive, I think its human nature to be a little bit trusting. And I am not sure what sort of world we'd live in if we didn't trust people at least some of the time. looking forward to the next adventure! -
Self knowledge can be oh! So painful, but then so rewarding as well. Glad Carter has seen himself. What happens next will not be easy, but at least he won't be fighting himself. Great read. Thanks.

ahhh, yes, hmm, oops... see correction... apologies!
