...wow. This has been a highly disturbing thread. carmichael came the closest, his rory as slightly less stocky would be perfect, but wow, nobody came close to my mental image anywhere else. Need I remind you that these are 16 and 17 year olds? They look a fair bit younger than the ones most of you all (excluding carmichael) are including... Trust me on this. When he's not po'd I tend to think of him with a smile on his face, more suited to smiling than any other expression. Luke, well, Luke is just defined as hot most of the time. So that's a pretty personal decision. Take pretty much your typical california surfer guy, that's my view of Luke. Aaron is darker haired but cute. After all, he is a charmer, right? He's thin, and looks like his dad is a dentist (perfect dentition). I honestly don't watch enough t.v. or movies to say who he looks like... His looks contrast with his personality I guess. They're all really good looking imo, but then again, thinking about ugly people having sex isn't any fun! //shadows

Well, the reason there's a cute teen guy in 24 is pretty much 3 reasons. 1) It's 24's target audience. The teenage male, it lets the audience feel as if it might possibly be them, it's someone to identify with. 2) 24 seems to have a fairly large gay following, so maybe if you're a gay teenager and you can't have jack you can at least fantasize about brady.... 3) I forgot three. //shadows

I second the twee reference on Leviathin's book. It's so improbable as to break the bounds of fiction. Sure, why not, let's have the transgendered six foot something male be both the highschool quarterback and homecoming queen. Books are supposed to have a message or relate in some way to your life, but you may as well be writing fantasy for all the relation that story had to the real world. Ditto to Geography Club, the other gay themed book I read. I can't believe it won awards... I should probably write later about this. I don't have much time, but I do think it's important to point out the assumption you're making; that being gay is what caused Aaron to become who he is. Like with most of us, it's a small part of his personality, other things decide the way he acts. It's important to remember that even outside of being gay he doesn't have a very happy life. P.S. To whoever posted doubting him about the twenties. I wholeheartedly agree. It seemed very staged.

If you can't tell the difference between fiction and reality then you're either insane or dumb enough that you'd kill yourself doing either of those two activities anyway. You don't need help from an author. That being said, I'm weird and I will often find myself imitating in style or manner of speech a character from a particularly good novel or movie I've read or seen. I'll steal words from their vocabulary or start posturing on top of tall buildings/cliffs while laughing maniacally. Maybe I don't need a novel to make me do that, but yeah... That being said I'm about as innocent as you can get, so no drugs/alcohol don't remind me of high school. They remind me of umm, college? Or what I'll expect it to be like? //shadows P.S. Well, I'm sure we've all noticed that our favorite antagonist has gone missing and we've had a few if not happy at least normal chapters. Now, since as we all know Dom doesn't forget about majour characters we're going to have to assume that Aaron is going to make a resurgence with a venegance. Any ideas what it will be? And since it's only fair, I think we need to look at Aaron as something other than an insidious evil. He hasn't exactly got the best life, you know? He may put a brave face on, but he's really hurting. Consider that he's blackmailed by his younger brother whenever he brings a friend over to his house. His parents aren't going to be accepting of him, and that's a kind of pressure that nobody wants to deal with. On top of that, unlike Luke and even Rory now Aaron doesn't have any real friends. His arguably deserved reputation doesn't allow him to make any new friends. Everyone stays away from him, the "popular" students like Dave and Luke make sure that he's detested by his peers. Because of this his idea of a good time is to hang out with people who are older and drink. He doesn't have any positive role models and he has no one to turn to to provide a better one. Are perhaps his mindgames just a plea for attention? Or is he so miserable that knows no way to elevate his spirits than to bring everyone else down with him? Dom has never made a totally evil character, and to write Aaron off is to do both him and Dom a disservice. Or, am I defending he who should not be defended? What are your thoughts? Hmmmm. It's going to be Seth/Rory. I think that Rory is acting the way that he is becuase he's never been in a real relationship. He has no idea how to act, and part of him scared, part of him wants it really badly but he just doesn't have the experience on how to handle it. This is his way of distancing himself. I saw Luke's kiss as a friendship sort of thing. I mean, who hasn't been kissed by a straight guy? Okay, maybe that was just me... Luke when he's not busy worrying about whatever it is (hey, maybe he's pining after Grandma Alice? You never know) seems concerned for Rory's happiness. They have a brother/friend relationship more than anything. (This theory was concocted before I read others posts, but we've all kind of arranged at the same conclusion). Here's a thought, what happens if we just took the store at face value? I mean, what if everyone is telling the truth? Hmm. Oh, and this is like an addiction. I mean how many people would start paying if the rest of DD was only available for a price. I wouldn't go so far as to steal Credit Cards, but... I do find myself behaving like an addict. I get up to do other activities when I'm reading DD just to let the "rush" last longer. This is rather sick. //shadows P.S. Dom, don't you dare get any ideas! Wow, it's playing in my hometown. That's... surprising. We're a traditionally red county. (in a rather blue state). I don't think I'd want to see it just because I get very attached to characters. That and honestly who'd want to see two guys having sex. Yuck!

Hey, Happy New Year (okay, I'm a little late ) I'm sure you enjoyed DD 23, unfortunately I have a feeling you're as unhappy as me about the time it's taken for DD 24 to come out. Someone needs to invent a time machine for Dom so we can read all of DD in order at once. Taiwanese elections sound like lots of fun! I'd love to see one. Seems as though the President isn't very popular right now though. And he wants a Constitution now. Do you have an opinion on the whole China/Taiwan situation or do you tend to keep to yourself when the topic comes up? And where is this "My New Brother" story, I can't seem to find it. //shadows

My prediction (and I was right in coming to Seth's defense so many chapters before!) is that Aaron is not going to take this lying down. Two things could possibly happen in my mind. 1) Seth and Rory get together.I still hold this as the best possible coupling as Rory and Luke is just... too weird. Better friends than lovers. Okay, maybe I'll set for a threesome... kidding! Anyway, if this happens we see Aaron go ape and do anything in his power to tear them apart. I'm not sure who he'll go for, Seth or Rory but both are weak towards him. He's a total charmer and if he can corner either long enough chances are he'll seduce them and turn them against each other. 2) Aaron sees that Seth and Rory are about to get together and blackmails them somehow. Threatens suicide (seems a little too extreme and unbelievable) or in some way emotionally blackmails Rory to his will. No matter how he might think it, Rory definitely isn't over Aaron. Btw, this was a good chapter because it didn't have a cliffhanger. And I think Seth out of all of Dom's characters would be my most desired BF. He's patient, he's nice, he has cool parents, and he's hot... //shadows 2)

Every Gay Highschooler's dream, to ditch their parents without being in the wrong or feeling guilty, and be able to be successfully independent. The ability in case things really go south to just say "screw this" and be gone for good. If only... This could be the ultimate in revenge fantasies, and since I"m not a nice person that's how I'd write it This is a very promising start and could go in any number of directions. But this does bring up a point. I know Justin has parents, but they're pretty faceless from my remembrance of them. Shall we psychoanalyse Mr. Zot here? I k id.
