Alrighty, now I'm starting to see a bit more about Kynan. But I guess it's still a question. Do Azil and karadur know the Queen is Kynan's mum? And one wonders how it is that the queen had a son, but yet no one knew she had a kid? See what I mean about not answering questions? Think I'll go have a cookie or something.

I know you once said that Kynan, while older chronologically than Alan, isn't really older developmentally. But though Demons might not develop or reach maturity as fast, Kynan is clearly far beyond Alan in maturity and in experience. What I still find so fascinating is his interest in the little pup. It's clear there is more there than just fascination with his gadgets. Alan on the other hand seemed awfully put out when they first met, almost upset. Wonder when that will change because when we see the two in the the main story - Alan is totally smitten.

So my crushes tend towards athletes and not models or movie stars - these were just a couple that come to mind Cristiano Renaldo - love to see him shirtless and he likes to be shirtless it seems. Jose Reyes - shortstop for the New York Mets. Not a great picture but definitely does it for me.

Alan was so precocious even at 14. One wonders what the pair of them will do now that they are bonded. It's easy to see why Alan might fall for Kynan, but the reverse isn't quite so easy to see. I mean here, he sees this cute little kid, who is really just a kid, even at 14. Yeah he's wicked smart etc, but they're just so worlds [no pun] apart. But they do make a fetching couple despite all that.

I do hope you don't think I'm stalking you - it's not my nature to be stalkerish - but since you asked if I read the chronicles, I figured I should. You have this incredibly annoying habit of not answering things. I'm like. So confused. I thought the Queen was his mum, and I thought Karadur and Azil knew it. clearly they don't or do they? See what I mean about annoying habit. But it does really add context to the story so good that you posted it. This little world you've created is probably stuck in your head, trying to come out and play every now and then, isn't it?

Holy Crap Darkman, that was so F'ing cool!!!! I'm not exactly sure what happened at first, I suspect the spell Duncan used created a link to between the house, the borderland and Kynan's cell. But wow, Kynan's part angel? Woof - oh wait that's Alan's line Azil and Karadur don't seem confident the queen is gonna be happy about the matting of Alan and Kynan. Given how things go among demons, that could be a bad thing. And btw, Imma go bust Karadur in the chops for calling Alan a pest. Hands off the wolfie demon. Good job. What next?

Yeah, this is the time for friends and family, I was trying to show how everyone had/has their own little issues - wendy, dean, etc that are still there while this is going on.

I think if you read the responses to this chapter you'll see that there was a grain of reality in this chapter. For me, the fact that Amanda, despite her own pain could reach out to Jason's mom - and let's be clear, she did it for him not Barbara - must have affected Barbara quite a bit. How do you respond to someone who says, "my son might die tonight, but I want you to see what you're about to lose?" Barbara wasn't a terrible person, just a tad misguide [well tad might be too easy ]

No no no, Amanda has more class than that - she isn't about to lower herself. Right about now, she is more Jason's mom, than Barbara. But we'll see.

Addicting? Well, that was an ending within a new beginning. Poor Zeek, he seems a magnet for bad things. It was a good story with a nice ending. You left it with a sense of promise for the two. After everything that happened they are still who they were. There is also a hint of what could lie ahead for them. That the emotional damage from all that's happened is still there if they let it get to them. Nice ending, so much hope, so much promise but definitely not the fairly tale happily ever after.

Trev, I'm stunned there is a chapter you haven't reviewed - but come to think of it I did see another recently that had only on and it wasn't from you Yeah I get that dad's are usually the ones who are 'I ain't having no gay son' but NightOwl did the same with Indiana Summer. And I think it's true that sons go to their mom's for acceptance more than their dads - I guess, I don't have any proof of that either. But in this instance the idea was not so much gender as social status. Funny how you write something one way and it comes out another.

To me sexy can not be defined or described. You can give examples, but you can't quantify it. To me, defining sexy is like that famous Supreme Court 'definition' of pornography given to us by Justice Potter Stewart - I know it when I see it. 'I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description ["hard-core pornography"]; and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly doing so. But I know it when I see it, and the motion picture involved in this case is not that. [Emphasis added.]' [Okay so I confess to being something of a nerd citing Potter Stewart in a thread on sexy - sue me ] To me sexy is something of an attitude, that rakish, biker bad boy attitude is sexy, the boorish Philistine pig ignorant type is not. You can look sexy until you open your mouth and ruin it, just as you might not be totally sexy until you speak. Yeah I'm so precise today. So to end, here is something more definitive - A great ass in pair of well fitting jeans is almost always sexy provided they don't ruin the look by wearing flip flops, scandals, mandals, or the like.

Even though I'm taken, can I add that he's so darn cute? That and he was super super nice to me ever since I showed up. Too bad he doesn't live around the corner, then we could hang out in person.

Sorry dude, I have not gone back and changed anything since I posted the last chapter. I need to clean up a few of the first dozen chapters but thus far, I haven't done it. That leaves, your memory is failing you a tad here. Sorry.

So I usually do most of my 'talking' in a review but I wanted to weigh in on a couple things. First the idea of George and Winkler - I am SO glad you are so obviously opposed to that. It would feel icky. Winkler - for all that he was so sweet and innocent at first is nothing of the kind we find out now that he and Jeffers are nothing but mammals and doing it like they do . . . . BUT that aside, he is - despite being George's valet - something like a child/brother/cousin to George. I mean George saved him, and for a time he worshiped George and perhaps still does, but there is too much history/connection. Having them be together would feel like George had no morals whatsoever. Then there is the Calver/Granger thingy. This dynamic is SO interesting. I mean there is/was the obvious love the two share(d) but I sense it is waning. George loves him, obviously, but he seems to be gravitating toward Freddy and maybe even Peter. There is almost a sense that George has grown up so much more now that he is Captain and Calvert is gone. What I mean is that when they were together it was easy to just let it happen. They were good together and they had each other and didn't have to worry so much because they were so good at being together etc. George didn't really consider his position or that of his family. Then once separated he grew up - he matured a bit but still had Freddy. Freddy who didn't need to be reminded of status - who understood the need for decorum etc. That relationship helped him to realize how to have a relationship within the boundaries of discretion. Then along comes Calvert again and Calvert has shown no signs he understands. Worse, HE- Calvert - is the person who is 'in charge' he is the one who is supposed to be the older wiser, more mature half. And in that role, the one that Granger held in their tryst - he fails miserably. George still cares for him but it seems obvious that he is starting to rethink his ability to be with him, jealous as he might be that Calvert has a new lover. Quite the dynamic. Now to see the triple threat match between The Earl, the Captain and the Wanna be Earl. One dumb question. What is granddad's title? The one he hopes to give to George??

Everything can't be all lovey dovey, can it? I mean things happen when you're young and hot. Peter is right to think his man is a hottie and Jason never really thinks about how insecure Peter is about being with him. He doesn't see the problem and this won't help things. But he at least stopped when he should have. Right???
