Mike: I think I corrected this, you should be able to see it now. Cia: See above, Nephy set me right - I almost said straight, got caught up in the baby moment. Right now, I'm not gonna sweat the due date til there is one LOL. I figure between his uber planning and my let's just see how it goes, we will do as we always do - manage fine As for Mike catching the babies - Shiiiitttttt - he's gonna be out cold long before me. LOL. Nephy: Thanks - I definitely know I am more excited/expectant now, than the previous attempts - I just hope all the well wishes for 3 or more aren't omens of things to come, one is enough, two we can manage - three? gulp, especially if they are 3 boys. Anyta: Haha, I think you can subscribe by going to the blog, not the post and hit 'like' just as you would a favorite author or story - I think. And since you are moving this way, you might be one of the very few who get to see the babies in person - photographs for posting require -

Thanks Trebs, I hate to jinx us but my gut says this time it worked. I suppose as excited as I feel now ain't nothing compared to what it will be like when it's confirmed or when we get ready to go pick up the baby. Pictures galore will follow LOL. -

Amelia: They implanted two - the two in the picture. We wanted more - but the doctor said this was the optimal number given the quality and development of the embryos - something about more increased the risk of triplets and that increased the risk of miscarriage and/on premature birth etc. We still have about a 40% chance of twins, though I suspect the % is higher based on a number of factors but I am just looking for one, healthy happy child - That's always been and still is the goal. Frosty: Thanks - Woo Hoo is perfect Method: Appreciate the vote of confidence. To be honest, Mike is really going to be the force behind our being good parents. He is always researching and reading things to make sure we do things right. Mine is far more a seat of my pants, wing it kinda of approach. I mean I would/will take parenting classes, but I would just do what everyone has done for ages, either ask the parents or just do what seems right. His approach is probably better. Phantom: Sextuplets??? Please don't jinx us LOL. Although, if we do have more than twins, I swear i am going to sell us to a reality show - if John and Kate can be on TV surely two gay dads with Triplets or more is worthy of a show - right? -

Mike, look to the right, it is the 'random image' shown on the right hand column. Right now there are no other photo's in the gallery so that is what appears, like i said it ain't much to see - it's a 5 day old embryo - well two actually -
Chapter 29: Brothers
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 29: Brothers
I haven't decided how to deal with Jordan and his friends, by that I mean I know what happens to them, but my plan was to end this well before the trial. Otherwise I would need to write about another year in their lives because that is about how long it would take for his case to go to trial. [i worked in PA in the criminal courts so I can say that with some certainty.] Right now I am thinking of either an epilogue or perhaps a short, stand alone story of the trial - not the full trial but I have a firm idea of some of the witnesses, - Jason and Jordan for sure - but lest I give too much away - I will leave it at that. As for Royce, no I don't think he thinks he did anything wrong. He was trying to strike a balance between wife and son - yes it was difficult on Jason, and he only added to the pressure, but at his core, he never abandoned Jason. And right now there isn't time for a heart to heart between the two for Jason to explain his feelings etc. So no, I don't see that happening. Thanks for your comments, as you can see they got me thinking -

Corvus: Thanks - as I mention in the latest entry, when they actually did the retrieve it was up to 22, but we ended up with 18 embryos - which is pretty kick ass I am told Lugh: Uncle Lugh?? Sure that works but if you want to see the Niece(s) Nephew(s) or both, you gotta come out of hiding -

Sorry, just a reminder, it seems the system does not record "+" or "-" on the main entry, only for replies. So to those who were kind enough to rep the last entries, save your points - but still comment if you like, I very much enjoy the responses . -
OMG- that is the best way to describe how I feel, I don't think I was ever this sure it was going to work as I am today. The emails from the Dr. were just shy of gushing. Not to say he didn't do this all the time, cause I don't know what he tells others, but this was the most excited he has been since we've been working with him. To recap, the egg donation went much better than expected. Where normal would be 10-12 we got 22. Of those 20 were mature and 18 were fertilized [No I don't know why all 20 were not but 18 was a lot so whose complaining.] Of the 18 - 11 were optimal by 9 am this morning - a phenomenal number according to the Dr. By 5 pm when they did the implantation, there were 14 that were optimal - even more phenomenal I suppose. The Dr. called us and was rather excited, said this was about as perfect as it could go medically. Not to say it had to result in a pregnancy but there was nothing more they could do to ensure a success - my worry isn't we get pregnant now, it's that we end up with - as Shane called it - a brood. I put an image of the embryos in my gallery - hopefully its not too weird, if it is tell me and I will take it down. I was just bouncing when they sent it. yeah it is way too early to get this excited, but I am practicing I guess. 2 week until it is confirmed they are still there and growing. Geez, this is freaking me out, I am bouncing around - and I haven't had pie and coffee yet - I might not get to sleep. Anyway, hopefully this is the real beginning and 39 weeks from now, I will be meeting my son or daughter or both - Then some one needs to catch me in case I fain. t

N.O. Okay so I am going to be lazy but as the first to review - or the first in the new GA Stories, I think I get a modicum of slack for reviewing chapters 1 & 2 together. First, you know I like your work, so let me just toss that out first. I think you do one of the best jobs of switching perspectives AND keeping each of them in character. Changing from Max to Josh and back isn't so hard, until you try to keep their personalities separate, which you do a great job. Yeah i know this is your 'baby' the one you love the most, so I am late getting to the party, but I consider I saved the best for last Andy

Chapter 29: Brothers
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 29: Brothers
Thanks for reading and commenting - not that I am trying make a shameless plug to read the forum topic, but I explain a bit of how and why I saw Mom make her turn around. There is perhaps more to mom's story but we may or may not see it, depends on what gets cut in the last dozen or so chapters. But I think it safe to say that Barb and Amanda will remain good friends, which should prevent any regression from Barbara. But what do I know -

Dean is most certainly NOT my brother - if that were us, he would tell me to get a gun and go take care of things. -
Chapter 28: The Price You Pay

Thanks for the comment, that scene, which as I explain in the forum post - reminds me of my own life - sadly the spark for my mother's turn around was the death of my cousin who was like my brother to me. So writing that part actually made me cry - yeah I'm a pathetic dork crying at my own writing but that's how it is LOL.Andy -

Thanks Simon, it will be a few more Chapters until we see what happens to Peter - not saying more, just that it won't be right away that we find out. Hope that isn't going to piss off too many people but there are a few things to deal with still. -

Mike, Sadly sometimes that is what it takes, something awful to get folks to appreciate things. Sometimes they don't figure it out even then. I know I'm lucky that way. Thanks for the comment, you have always been too kind - though it does make me smile so I won't ask you to stop Andy -
Traffic delayed his father; not surprising for a Friday evening. They were going to be having a late dinner, something Jason regularly did during soccer season. He stopped at the Wawa and picked up some snacks he knew his mother would like in case she was hungry. If she didn't want them, he would take them for Dean to eat. When he arrived at Peter's room, his mom was sitting talking to Amanda, Tom and some woman he didn't know, but suspected was Betsy. "Jason." His mother stood up to greet

Don, Thanks for posting this. I'm reasonably sure I break at least one or two on a daily basis, but I will keep them in mind as I move forward. Andy

Much better Frosty - much better. You are far too pretty to frown like the first picture I hope mom is better soon. Andy
-
Frosty - I wanted to laugh at first, but then you would think it was at your new hairdo - but that face - OMG - someone was annoying you big time! Too cute. I do like the new hair style - it is totally how I see you now - cute and smart - though I may have to nominate you for the Minister of Silly Faces after that one

Chapter 28: The Price You Pay
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 28: The Price You Pay
I was a bit worried folks were going to be mad that the grandparents weren't the ones to down grade Hurricane B into a light drizzle, but as I explained in the spoiler, 23 years ago it was a similar scene that 'fixed' my parents and I wanted to include that. I think most of the cliffs are gone - but no promises. -
Geez, when you promised to get to this and finish it, I didn't think you meant drive us over a cliff and leave us hanging - bad Cia, you are really are trying to be the queen of cliffhangers aren't you - well since you DON't want the title and you DID this to us in Chapter 20, I am going to hang up and go nominate you for Queen of Cliffhangers - sorry but it's your own fault. Oh an by the way - awesome chapter - totally worth the wait.

I love how this is developing, despite the fact I want to reach across and smack the crap out of Blake - which shows how well you are showing us his anxiety. I think I said it before, but you do a great job of delving into your characters emotions. I can feel his angst but at the same time, it shown through his interactions. I hope Haze doesn't end up stomping on Blake - his whole reason for going west was to start a new life - hmm sounds like a title in there somewhere . Thus far, Blake seems to have found less peace of mind that he expected. Interested to see what happens in Chapter 8 now that he and Haze have 'checked each other out.'

Happy Birthday Matt!!!! Here's hoping it was a good one and you did something fun!!!

Chapter 21: A New Season
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 21: A New Season
Meh, I think Jason was and is concerned about his team and his affect on it. Making someone uncomfortable is something I worry about in my line of work, because I am out. So I try not to do things that would make others uncomfortable - so perhaps this was a bit of self projection?? Hmm
