  1. that was my favourite part too!
  2. She goes both ways for me, but I seem to slightly favour counter clockwise. Oddly enough quite a few years ago at a party (I think I was about 14), I was sitting on the sofa and looking at the overhead fan. Suddenly it started spinning in the opposite direction, and I found that I could change the direction in which it span at will. I thought I was going crazy at the time.
  3. Happy Halloween, everyone!!
  4. Love this song! Sorry - Buck Cherry
  5. Oh my gosh! That was awesome!
  6. Doesn't sound like much of a crisis then! "Did you hear about Sophie's midlife crisis?" "No, what happened?" "well...she bought a new skirt and got her hair done!"
  7. Hmm, a few random ones in no particular order: Become completely proficient in at least 4 languages (probably: English, Spanish, French, German) Tour Europe and the Orient Write a novel Raise happy, well-adjusted children (2 or 3) Make enough money to quit working and spend my days with my hobbies and interests. Become a gay activist Build a snowman learn a few musical instruments never stop learning This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it's a decent start I suppose. Of the things other people have mentioned (that didn't make my list in their own right) I'd also like to: * Go sky diving * Go bungee jumping * Go mountain climbing (Not Everest or anything like that... just a normal mountain yep) * Go scuba diving * Learn to bartend *Get married *Find happiness and keep it *win a spelling bee *Organize my funeral (and wedding) *Hot Air Balloon Ride
  8. Welcome to GA, you guys! It's fantastic having you here!
  9. Hiya Joe! Awesome! Have fun! Good luck! ...yeah it's a good thing people don't need to sleep or eat or anything to survive Well actually that's really hypocritical of me considering that I've gotten very little sleep the last several days and have eaten virtually nothing today...but that doesn't make it better. My first semester of college Brittney Spears went to one of the clubs in Baton Rouge. Despite this being before she jumped the shark I still never really regretted not being there that night. In the end what's so special about seeing famous people? Lance Bass isn't particularly cute (IMO) and personally speaking I've never heard much about him having a scintillating personality (perhaps he does but not that I know of), so all in all you probably didn't miss much. Undoubtedly it's a combination of the three, but hang in there and I'm sure someone wonderful will show up. One just did for me Give 'em time Been there, done that, loving it! I probably shouldn't recommend it, but it did work pretty well for me. Take care, Joe! I hope everything works out and I hope you have an awesome time in San Fran! Kevin
  10. I agree with the consensus. Interesting read, but ultimately irrelevant since, as Adrian pointed out, this could have been done for any of the characters.
  11. That would be my new boyfriend! He's terrific, I'm totally in the giddy school boy crush stage. We just had the most amazing evening together! I'll write more later
  12. LOL, I was talking with my good friend Megan - who moved to Syracuse - and she works as a waitress at a restaurant (she transferred to an Olive Garden up there). She was saying how the other day one of the other girls had a tampon in her pouch (you know where they keep the pens and pads...er pads for writing down orders that is), and apparently she went to a table, said "May I take your order?" and whipped out her tampon and attempted to write with it before noticing. Anyway, who knows, maybe if it had had an inspirational message written on it the whole thing would have been less embarrassing. Have an awesome day, Viv -Kevin
  13. Oh my! How devastating My best regards and thoughts to those involved I've been trying very hard to decide whether I wanted to move to New York or California next. Not to be facetious at a time like this, but I think you've just helped sway the balance.
  14. This does look like a really good show! LOL, I haven't seen an episode of Oprah since I was about 8! I'd like to watch this one though. Since it's already aired, is it available anywhere? I checked around on the website but couldn't find it. Thanks for the info, Jack Have a fantastic day all, and may you all always have the freedom and support to be yourselves! -Kevin
  15. Sounds like a really intense, excellent movie! I'll definitely check it out if I ever get the chance! BTW, have I mentioned I'm proud of you, Robbie Have a fantastic day all! Kevin
  16. Woo HOOO!! AWESOME!!! Good luck!! -Kevin
  17. Bubbly - Colbie Caillat
  18. Of course I was suggesting that! I would disagree. I think the two are always going to be linked in the minds of the uninformed, straight majority. I think it is easier to bring about a greater acceptance for gays and effeminates than to try to differentiate the two. My gut feeling would be that even if you could teach people the difference and bring about acceptance of the effeminates you would, as a side effect, have taught acceptance of homosexuality anyway. So yes, my course of action would be to strongly lobby and educate that - gay or not - it's okay for a boy to be femme and a girl to be butch. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I really don't see the two being unlinked and I really think a better use of our time and resources is to just push for acceptance of both. Take care all and have a great day Kevin
  19. Well said, Graeme! That's pretty much how I felt as well.
  20. *sigh* Are you guys taking immigrants?
  21. Well, I guess not all stories have a happy ending! (j/k ) That is horrible! Hmmm, personally I think that misses the point a little in that the behaviour is no more or less excusable regardless of whether the child is gay or simply gender atypical. It's still awful that a parent would treat their child that way, and I think the focus should be on changing that attitude and behaviour. Anyway, just my thoughts, take care all and have a great day! Kevin
  22. You can chalk up another vote for incredibly joyful here as well (from behind of course ) -Kevin
  23. Good to hear! I've been wondering what was going on with WISYA but I didn't want to bother you or be pushy. I'm sorry you've been working so much and are so worn out! Have fun on the trip and make people take pictures for me! -Kevin
