  1. WOW! What a powerful, angry poem! I very much got the impression of a couple locked in a bad pattern. It actually sheds quite a bit of light on how a steady stream of verbal abuse and criticism from one person can lead to detachment in the other and how this is only bound to escalate as times passes. Great job, Menzo! -Kevin

  10. Definitely Jude! He's just so amazing! Luke would be a strong second, but Jude's way better. Aiden brings up the rear in my book. (hmm, I wonder how long that sentence can lay there uncommented on?) -Kevin
  11. Hi all! We were having a debate about this recently in the Domaholic's Forum, so I thought it might be fun to "definitively" (what could be more definitive than a poll after all? ) find out what the majority of members preferred. My choice is "Colour". I've always thought the "ou" spelling looked more formal, complete, and all around nicer. What do you think? -Kevin **Hurries to get helmet before Sharon sees this post **

  13. I fully thought they were in the basement all along Ah, well then it's no wonder I so frequently prefer the British spelling; I usually tend to favour stylistic, decorative things as opposed to concise, efficient things. My motto is: "Let's have the frills!". LOL, and I always thought "ou" was prettier and more complete looking than just "o". Now that is something I'm very excited to learn! Thank You! I've often heard of "plonk wine" but had mistakenly assumed it meant "cheap wine" and not "white wine". -Kevin
  14. I don't watch TV, but I did catch the vid. of Britney's performance on youtube. The outfit was definitely a poor choice. I agree that if she wants to be a serious performer again it might be wise to hit the gym a little more often, but even if she's not going to get back the body of her teen years, she should definitely make an effort to "dress more strategically". I think her biggest mistake was trying to look hyper sexualized. That might have worked for her before, but right now I think a smarter move would have been a no-belly-barring top (perhaps with a lowish cut if she really wanted to show off the girls), sleeveless - but I'd have advised some playful gloves -, a skirt that did manage to cover most of butt and thighs while still cut in such a way so as to give the impression of being short and revealing. She could have finished the whole thing off with a nice pair of boots or some stilettos (although the latter option probably wouldn't have done much for her much criticised dance routine). Thus, she'd have still achieved a "sexy, naughty girl" look (which probably was necessary to compliment the song she'd chosen to perform), but wouldn't have drawn unnecessary attention to her depreciating assets. As for the hair she should have gone with a sensible wig, tried to do something cute with her short hair (I'm not sure exactly how much she had to work with), or else incorporated a hat into the mix. I do think there's something to be said for someone who can shamelessly pull off an outfit like she tried to wear, despite no longer having the best body, but unfortunately she didn't look shameless and her whole dance routine would have needed to be very energetic and seamless. Then she would have come off as a confident, sexy young woman who was proud of the way she looked and didn't care if it conformed perfectly to magazine standards. (she'd likely still have taken a lot of flack from some people, but I would defend her right to "have fun" and be proud of her body whatever shape it's in). He does seem have turned a corner in his career! Back in the N'sync days I found most of their music fairly catchy, but ultimately forgettable (and irritating if heard too much). Then we he started his solo career - back in the nipplegate days - I thought he'd completely jumped the shark, lost his talent, and was due for a Britney-esque slump. But he really "brought sexy back" with his latest album. So far I've loved every single and been eager to hear more. That's certainly something he'd never accomplished with me earlier in his career. Personally, I still don't think he's all that cute though. -Kevin
  15. I've done the beach before, so mountains. Would you rather: Win the lottery OR win the Nobel Prize
  16. Hi all, I thought it would be fun to start a new game. It's called "Would You Rather" It's pretty straightforward. One person asks a "would you rather" question, then the next person answers it, then leaves their own "would you rather". So I'll start. Would you rather: be stranded on a desert island with no water OR be stranded on a dessert island with no milk?
  17. Hey dude, From what I understand, there are often are "clues" when a bi-polar person's mood is about to shift. Do what you can to combat it. Get a solid 7-9 hours of sleep, eat right, exercise, laugh and smile, all that jazz Good luck and let us know if you need to talk Kevin
  18. Menzo, I love this! I love this line! Expecting/hoping for a surprise, what a delightful paradox! And I think knowing that the other person is there at 3am if you need a cry is something very important in a relationship. LOL, were you dating a straight guy? This is most definitely my favourite line in the whole poem! AWESOME! Have a great day and take care, Kevin
  19. Well done, Menzo! I thoroughly enjoyed them! I thought the 2nd one seemed more like the "Menzo" I know. It's hard to say which is my favourite of the two. I found them both very compelling and evocative. I look forward to reading more Kevin
  20. That was very good. I quite like this.
  21. If your concern is that Gay Authors would have a problem with you posting the link then I can assure you that it's fine from our perspective as long as: -The link doesn't depict nudity or violence -It's legally viewable There are dozens of links to various videos, mostly from youtube, scattered throughout the site. As I understand it this is a link to a YooHoo commerical? I can't imagine it would be particularly offensive or harmful then. Besides this strikes me as extremely similar to numerous other threads we've had in the past in which we posted pics of celebrities we thought resembled Dom characters. If your concern is related to something other than site rules, then I'm by no means trying to encourage you to do anything against your better judgment Take care and have an awesome day all! Kevin
  22. Ah, well simple solution. After we're done, one of us must print it, then send it to him via carrier pigeon. (Can't trust those shifty postal workers/delivery people. They're liable to intercept it, pass it off as their own, and retire on the millions they'd make. )
  23. Happy Birthday, Zot!!!
  24. Happy Birthday, Aaron!! I hope you have a fantastic day and a terrific year!!! -Kevin
  25. LOL, this is the part where you complain about, "having to hear about it on the streets!" I'm sure it'll be great Good luck Kevin
