  1. Yes, I agree, he's very attractive. Still I think the website - entitled "Labeouf in Labuff" - overemphasized the amount of "flesh" he was showing. That's a pretty standard bathing suit. I was thinking about him the other day. He's definitely cute and attractive right now, but I'm thinking he's not the kinda kinda guy that'll be all that much in 10 or 15 years. Right now he's just got the "cute" thing going. Of course that's just my opinion and my taste. I don't think he's the kinda guy I'd look twice at in 10 or 15 years, but I could be wrong, and even if I'm not I suppose there's a good chance other people will still find him SEXY. Conversely the other new "hearth-throb" on the block, Zac Efron, is - in my opinion at least - just as hot and just as cute, and does seem like he'll wear-well. But yeah, hot dude! Thanks for the pics, David Have an awesome day and take care! Kevin
  2. LOL, these all happened to me the last time I moved my computer!
  3. Unfortunately, it looks like I may not be able to make it either. They're opening a new office at work, and I'm one of the ones transferring to it so I'm afraid I shall probably be very busy around late October through November. I don't want to say I definitely can't make it, because I really want to, and I'm going to see if I can figure out a way, but right now it's not looking good In any case I should probably be in one of the other two categories -Kevin (who is very disappointed )
  4. LOL, or perhaps this is s0x's way of telling us that he's working on the next chapter of the co-operative Anyway, for the record, I definitely think it was Jude looking after Quinn. Indeed, I think this was the case for these two characters more so than any other pair in Dom's stories. Have an awesome day all and take care! Kevin
  5. Who did you used to be?
  6. "Calling You" - Blue October
  7. I'm a non-smoker. I'm not really aggressively opposed to it though...well I guess maybe I am. What I mean is I think it's a really bad idea, and I'd rather people not do it, and if you solicit my opinion I'll tell you just what I think. However, I don't scold people smoke, I'm fine with people smoking in a social setting, and unless it's really impacting my life I'm probably just going to mind my own business. I don't think I could date a smoker though. -Kevin
  8. Hey Nick! Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about Taylor wanting to drop out of school I hope you can talk him out of it! Good luck with everything and take care Kevin
  9. Thanks!! **Waves and smiles at Nick**
  10. As many others have stated, I too thought the characters too young. If they get a few years older before anything sexual starts to happen I suppose I'll be okay with it. Personally though, I think I would be too uncomfortable to continue reading if things turned heavy prior to that aging. LOL, perhaps it was just me, but I found that remark a tad suggestive. A couple of other observations and points to ponder: -Is Grady really a good friend if, purposely or not, he's preventing Brennan from making other friends? Since it's Brennan's decision and Grady doesn't seem to be pressuring him I would say that it's not Grady's fault. One could argue that Grady should perhaps tell Brennan that he doesn't want to interfere with his social life, but considering he's just a twelve year old that wouldn't be a very reasonable expectation. I do think that it's a potentially unhealthy pattern that they're falling into, but I guess what it'll really come down to is how things proceed as they get older. -Grady and Brennan's first time drinking I was very surprised that Grady would be getting drunk at twelve years old. For one thing I think the percentage of twelve year olds sneaking around getting drunk is quite low. I had consumed alcohol by the time I was twelve but that was in moderation and with parental consent. The first time I ever drank without my mom explicitly knowing was in 8th grade, which would have made me about 14. Even then I didn't get drunk I just had a little beer with a few friends. Anyway, even in that I was in the minority and I was a more adventurous sort of kid. Grady doesn't seem especially adventurous or sneaky, and while one might say that Brennan (who is adventurous) urged him to, that doesn't really seem to fit either. Brennan doesn't seem like the peer pressuring type of kid, and he doesn't even seem like the type that would actively seek to break the rules himself unless he did have a willing partner in crime. Add to that that Grady has alcoholic parents and it further surprises me. Sure a lot of people with alcoholic parents tend to drink themselves, but in my understanding that typically comes later in life. It was such that my own friends who had parents that drank fairly heavily completely eschewed alcohol until late high school/college (and I know a couple of people who still don't drink at all). I was also surprised that if Grady was going to drink that he'd do it for the first time in the hotel room. It seems like if he'd been interested in trying it he could have easily gotten alcohol at home. Sure perhaps he wanted to experience it with Brennan, but in that case I should think that he'd have simply procured some liquor and then smuggled it into Brennan's house. Still, I suppose it could have happened, and I'm probably viewing the events too heavily through the lenses of my own experiences and expectations. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what chapter two holds! -Kevin
  11. Well heck! That's half the appeal! -Kevin
  12. Well, I think one's "gaydar" is something that requires practice, as well as exposure into gay life, to develop. I'm certainly not arguing that this is an excellent, well-constructed study. However, anecdotally speaking I have several friends who most definitely "walk gay" (both gay males who walk "femme" and lesbians who walk "butch"). I don't know that it necessarily is inborn. It may indeed be the result of some kind of social learning, and as I said it's certainly not one of the major factors I look for when trying to determine someone's sexuality, but I really think there is some truth to it. Just my thoughts, Kevin
  13. LOL, anyone else notice that Reilly and Aaron seem have changed hair colour?! I believe Reilly was always a blond - which Vic fixed - and that Aaron had brown hair. Still perhaps he dyed it whilst on the lam in order to throw people off. I'm so enjoying this story! -Kevin
  14. Hey Richie! Thanks! I have had a great time It was really awesome! LOL, and I think it "worked" since I'm strongly considering buying their new cd now. Have a fantastic day and take care! Kevin
  15. SO, I just got a call from a friend. He's got an extra ticket to The Killers concert tonight! SO, I'm going! YAY! I'm so excited, it's been forever since I've been to a concert, and I love The Killers! Now all I have to do is rearrange my schedule a bit, and figure out a way to look concert worthy within the next three hours!
  16. As the two strolled down Liberty Street Reilly was pleased, albeit a little surprised, to discover that all eyes seemed to be on him and his new friend. What surprised him even further was that these eyes usually came with an accompanying smile or an encouraging - if often a a bit vulgar - comment. Yes, Reilly was definitely enjoying himself. Once the they reached Babylon Reilly naturally took up his place at the back of the line and settled in to wait patiently for his turn to enter the packed establishment. "No need to wait, kid. I know the owner." Taylor said as he grabbed Reilly's arm and pulled him out of line. "Where do you think you're going?" Demanded the bouncer as Taylor started to climb over the rope barrier. "It's okay, Greg, he's Brian's friend." Said the other security guard as he approached the scene. "Fine, but this one looks all of 12. He's not getting in without some I.D." Greg insisted. "Ohh, I was holding his I.D. for him." Taylor said with a wink at Reilly. "Here" he said as he fished a card from his pocket. "Justin huh? Fine whatever" Greg said as he unlatched the rope. Once inside the two immediately went to the bar to order drinks. If Reilly had been surprised by the events of the night up until now, he was shocked when the bartender turned out to be none other than Jake, Owen's older brother's boyfriend. "Jake!" Reilly exclaimed with surprise. "Hey Reilly, how's it going?" Jake said casually. "What are you doing here?" Reilly asked. "I thought you and Tony were on vacation". "Uhh...well sorta. We were on vacation, until some punkass kid accused Tony of stealing a car! I'm just working here until I can save up enough money to bail him out.
  17. I like to think I have pretty good gaydar, but I suppose it's easy since most of the new people I meet socially are introduced to me by my gay friends. LOL, and if they're straight I'm usually told before hand or just flat out during the introduction/conversation.
  18. Hi all, I just came across this article about gaydar and the way someone walks. I thought it was pretty good so I figured I'd share Speaking for myself, the way someone walks usually isn't one of the key indicators I use to determine whether or not someone is gay. I generally look at the way they carry themselves in general as well as a range of other behavioural and social cues. Still I suppose this might be something I unconsciously examine. What do you guys think? -Kevin
  19. A good list, just not thorough.
  20. Happy Birthday, Miso! I hope you have a fantastic day and a really terrific year! All the best, Kevin
  21. LOL, welcome to the forum, Ed! Don't worry. There have indeed been several, longer breaks between chapters before. On the bright side with DD for example things moved very quickly after it was picked back up Have a terrific day and take care! Kevin
  22. ohh, tough call! UMMM, I'll strip colour or color?
  23. I'm pretty sure I've had one for that long before, but in the past year and a half I've gone through **counts** ...either 6 or 7 (but one of those includes my new 2nd phone/line that I got without getting rid of my other phone). Do you own a carton of spoiled milk?
  24. Oh my gosh!! You sexy thing you! I have been told that before. I have never been out of the country
  25. LOL, this is why I hadn't responded too! Hmmm, I'd rather want to say what others want to hear I suppose it depends on the matter in question. Generally I try to strike an appropriate balance between the two, but in some cases I may feel it necessary to voice my opinion regardless of whether or not someone wants to hear it. At other times I may decide it's best to completely ignore my own opinion and tell people what they want/need to hear. So yeah, it just all depends.
