Awww WOO HOO!! That rocks, dude! I'm so happy for ya! -Kevin P.S. good luck on your final!
  3. Aiden never got the chance to finish whatever action he'd intended to take. Instead everyone's attention quickly shifted to Dennis when, putting his fingers in mouth, he let out an almost deafening whistle. "THAT'S IT! I've had enough of you queers and your drama!" Dennis roared in an agitated voice. Dennis gently placed a hand on Reilly's shoulder and stooped slightly so that he and the smaller guy were at eye level. "Reilly, your 'date' is a jerk and he's using you. Why don't you take Valentine for a walk?" Dennis suggested as he ushered the diminutive blonde out. Next he turned his attention to Aiden. "Look Knightly, if you ever come back here messing my frien...with Owen and Reilly's heads again I'm going to finish what I started in high school. Now get the f**K out!" Concluding his threat Dennis whipped open the door and gave Aiden a look which held no room for argument. As Aiden started to make his exit Owen suddenly spoke up. "Thanks" He said to Dennis as he quickly brushed by, "but I think we need to talk," he finished as he locked eyes with Aiden then followed him from the room. Turning his attention to the sole remaining cohabitant of the basement, Dennis regarded Travis with an unreadable expression. "I think we do too" *********************** There's my contribution. LOL, I'm not sure we have all our characters acting in character, but it'll be fun to see how this plays out! Take care all and have a great day! Kevin
  4. When in doubt about how to feel...always go with the pleasant one! Take care, cutiepie -Kevin
  5. Oh my gosh! That would be fabulous!
  6. So it's a bit silly to be posting this particular blog entry right now, but I was sitting here wondering just how long it's been since I first got a blog here. Turns out it's been nearly two years! My first entry was on November 17th 2005! Since then I've posted 117 entries (counting this one), which comes out to about one per week, but which of course in practice is more like 2 or 3 one week, then 2 or 3 the next month (if that many in some months). It seems that I posted the most entries per month - 15 - in December 2005, and the least entries per month - 1 - in January 2007. In fact it seems quite apparent that I primarily blogged in the first year; I made 86 blog entries from November 17th 2005 to mid November 2006, and only 31 since last November! jamessavik was the first to ever comment in my blog! Tob was the third! Beside the fairly mundane topics and general narratives of my life I've also written 7 purely humourous entries (at least that my intent with them ) which include, in chronological order: Laughing at Life Funny Moments From the Last Year I Had to have Another Hit A "Wordy" Entry Water in my glass; air in my pipes Animal Testing and the Joy of Gay Sex A lifetime supply of... I've also posted a "writing exercise": Beautiful Boys The shortest entry I ever made (about two and a half lines) was: Everyone Looking back on what I've written it seems that the majority of my favourite entries also took place in that first year. Though I definitely still enjoy writing in this thing If I had to do an "outline" of my blog I'd say: -The first section is about coming out and learning how to be a gay person. -The second section chronicles my gradual decision to move away from the state in which I grew up and begin life on my own elsewhere. -The third section seems to consist mostly of a great deal of pure introspection mixed with particular events from my daily life. -The fourth section is about making my new life in Houston. -The 5th corresponds with a period of time when I spent (comparatively) very little time here at GA, and truth be told considered not coming back at all(not due to anything going on here, but instead due to matters in my personal life). -The 6th and final section is after I decided to "come back", and it deals with life as it is today for me It's interesting to note that despite frequently starting polls (or pools ) elsewhere on the site, I've never had one in my blog! I can only recall deleting one blog entry, and while I remember that it was a pretty negative one, I don't really remember what it was about. I want to thank everyone who's ever commented, and especially the people who've frequently commented, for putting up with my whining and silliness, and still offering me very excellent insight, opinions, and advice. You guys have helped me more than you could ever know! Anyway just a little "metablognition" Take care all and have an awesome day! Kevin

    Sometimes...

That's beautiful, Carl! Listen to him, Demetz. He speaks real wisdom. I wish you the best -Kevin
  8. That was very powerful.
  9. No, I don't think I do. Do you own a cellular phone?
  10. *gasp!* All I saw was a perfectly manicured hand coming toward my expensive eyebrows and then it was all over I did find this label on the ground, but it's in Italian so I can't read it! Awww Thanks, Ieshwar! I do feel much better now! Hmm, I could be wrong, but as I recall Dom already said somewhere (his blog perhaps?) that he had no intention of doing one. So I don't think so I guess that's what the imagination is for though! Kevin
  11. Tsk Tsk, Clearly I meant it as "Pool your answers, guys! That way we can determine a consensus!". I just didn't want to be overly wordy. You guys know what a staunch supporter I am of concision in writing. (at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it ) Still, to prevent any confusion I've edited my simple "pool" request to instead spell out my suggestion of "pooling" our answers in this thread. -Kevin
  12. I really like this song! This is so beautiful! So is this! What a great message! I wish I could hear this song, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Oh my gosh!! These two were fabulous! I just downloaded them! LOL, what show is this? I've never heard of it. Just downloaded this as well, also really like it! Great suggestions ya'll -Kevin
  13. Interesting points all around. It does sound like the bishop is stuck between a rock and a hard place. It is encouraging to see that the Anglican church is adapting and at least considering different changes. Unfortunately that seems to be more than can be said for a great many other denominations. (though I guess in general things might be getting better). -Kevin
  14. WOOO HOOOO!! Happy Birthday, Conner! I hope you have a splendid day and a fantastic year!!!! -Kevin
  15. Looks great, Jack! LOL, I was going to point out how wonderfully you matched too!
  16. Well said, CJ! I love this! Again though I think it's more appropriate for IMs, Emails, or text messages, versus actual stories. I think CJ and Graeme are right; instead of using "ke ke ke" in a story I think "Tom smiled and his eyes lit up as he tried to muffle his laughter" works better. Just my thoughts, Kevin
  17. Dude, that's awesome! Congrats err, went to the website, but how would I find the video in question? She sure can! She's also strong on gay rights! -Kevin
  18. As I recall it's the soon to be step-mother that's causing all the problems, including - I think - manipulating Mr. Trust. I could be wrong though, it's been awhile since I read it, but that was the impression I got. I agree! I think Rory's mom was great, and I think she really did act in his best interests. Remember that she did try to contact Eddie prior to dying; she just didn't make it. Hmm, I don't quite agree with that. I think she definitely made a lot of mistakes and she also wasn't really involved enough in her kids' lives (like not noticing that (or at least not reacting to the fact that) Quinn spent all the time drugged up skipping school), but overall I think she really cared about them and tried to do her best for them. She even tried to look after Jude, and she did adjust to the fact that her son was gay, it just took her a little time. Not everyone starts off in the same place, at least she made the effort. Definitely agreed! From the very beginning I thought Nelson had awful taste in friends (and boyfriends ). As I've frequently said I think I'd like to see WT wrap up with Nelson making a new, nicer set of friends, and going after a new guy (maybe a certain hot football player? ). LOL, It'll never happen, but that's what I think he should do... Take care all and have a great day! Kevin
  19. I do agree with you about Aaron's parents with regards to these two points. However, I seem to remember that they were also homophobic and treated Aaron inferiorly to his brother. Then again it's been a long time since I've read DD and I might be mis-remembering. Also, I agree that we don't really have a clear handle on Aaron's parents since all the information we have about them pretty much comes from Aaron himself (again if I'm remembering correctly), and of course I wouldn't think anyone is the ideal candidate to give unbiased information about their own parents, and specifically Aaron might have had cause to embellish or downplay certain things. Yeah, he does to a large extent, but I have a feeling he's going to end up being a more complicated, multi-dimensional character than he is now. EXACTLY!! *sigh* I would add them to the list, in fact I went back and tried to, but unfortunately I only have one more "villian" slot open (and no more "Male supporting character" slots), and since 1) we already started voting and adding people at this point might bias things, and 2) since I'd hate to pick only one of the suggestions made and since deleting someone already there, even if they didn't have any votes yet, would definitely seem "unfair" to me. I think I'll just have to leave it the way it is. Sorry everyone -Kevin
  20. I did consider her, but had elected not to include her. However, you make a very good point, and since I was "on the fence" about including her anyway, and since at worst people simply won't vote for her, I've edited the poll to include her. Thanks for voicing this concern, Graeme -Kevin
  21. Hey Anthony! Welcome to GA! It's awesome having you here and I'm glad you're having fun! Hmm, personally I can't recall any examples of our writers using "hehehe" (and obviously they're better left unexplicitly cited), but I think that would definitely irk me! It would probably kill the mood for me, and shatter the little world I'd created in my head. Have an awesome day and take care! Kevin
  22. She really was hot (and even beautiful) back in the day, and I agree that she did dance well. I've always thought she was a fine performer, and I really do wish her well in life. I also do like a lot of her songs. I never thought she was especially gifted vocally, I mean even in her "hay day" I don't really think that was were strong suit. She was adequate though, and I don't think every entertainer needs to be perfect in everything. She had great songwriters who wrote catchy lyrics, she had excellent music behind her, she could dance and perform very well, she was sexy, and she had the attitude and personality. That's definitely sufficient IMO to justify her success. My two favourite Britney videos have always been: and My Prerogative But then I've always been a sucker for "empowering" songs. As for right now in her career...well I think she's either going to have to tone up or tone down the sexual nature of her clothes and performances. In general I think she's going to have to evolve to play more to her current strengths than trying to live in the past. For example her body isn't as slammin' as it used to be, nor does she have the same health and stamina levels that she had before which allowed her more difficult dance routines. I think she actually needs to go for a more conservative style and maybe play more to a fantastical, animated video (ala "toxic"). As far as her personal life with all the boozing, rehab, head shaving, and commando outfits...well that's her "prerogative", and I've never thought celebrities or politicians should be expected to be "role models", so I couldn't care less. Now if you want to talk about a diva with killer vocals, a still sexy bod, and smashing performances, who, IMO, also makes a pretty decent role model...well that would have to be my gurl Christiana. -Kevin
  23. Ah, I can see how that would get irritating. It is natural that a psychiatrist of that era would interpret things from a Freudian perspective, but since Freud isn't really in fashion in psychology nowadays I can see how this would be particularly vexing to someone who has studied modern-day psychology. Err... you mean with respect to package size? Well biologically speaking I always heard and believed the claim that the male penis (as opposed to the female penis ) typically reaches more or less adult size by age 16. Of course that's just the average and especially with regards to puberty everyone develops at different rates. So I guess some people might be "late bloomers", but I'd be very surprised if the average 18 year old didn't have more or less "the complete package" If you meant "big" in any other respect, like say waist size for example , I'd agree with you that the average human male (and female) seems to get a bit bigger for each year he (or she) gets older. Obviously this doesn't happen to everyone (naturally I'll stay thin and beautiful forever ), but that seems to be the general trend. Anyway, to be blunt I couldn't care less about the "package". Even from a purely physical perspective it's pretty low down on my list of interests. As long as it isn't exceptionally ugly or misshapen, and unless it happens to be stunningly beautiful (both of which occurrences are unlikely) I seldom pay it much interest. There's way more fascinating bits! (like the abs, butt, hair, eyes, arms, hands, feet, etc.) Have a fantastic day everyone and take care! Kevin
