Hey Vance! Well perhaps whoever thought up the commercial was of a similar opinion with regards to rap music To be vulgar: "Gee this song is really $^@&" "yeah it is $#@$" "Hey! Speaking of $^$# you know what this song would be good for?!" HAHAHAHA So I guess since it sorta came up let me share one of my all time embarrasing stories. I pulled up to this little shop, and was about to get out and go in, when I realized that my door wouldn't open! So I pull the handle harder...Nothing...So I start pulling vigorously on the handle and shoving on the door with my shoulder...still nothing...So now I'm frantically banging on the door and shouting in hopes that someone will hear me. The whole truck is shaking but the door won't open. So now I'm really starting to freak out because I realize I've left my cell phone at home, so I can't even call anyone to come and rescue me! Then I'm struck with a brilliant idea! I'll roll down the window and get out that way. .....of course while I was rolling down the window and climbing out I leaned on the lock....doors just open so much more easily when they're unlocked. LOL it sounds kinda fun to me! I bet he secretly thinks it's adorable OUCH! I'm sorry ....what possessed her to do that? .....you didn't have that rap commercial on did you? David! I can't believe you let me read something like that! LOL just kidding, it was really well written and powerful. I don't think I've read anything so "scary" since THAT chapter of The Human Condition (which I recommend to all BTW). Anyway wow. Poor Connor. Well he's bleeding and mangled, so I don't think Ryan could mistake it for consensual. Sad thought, I bet Connor's going to have all sorts of nasty STDs now. Perhaps he'll get something awful and then he won't be able to be with Ryan again. Anyway I'm thinking this will be the impetus which will finally get Maggie to take action and ensure that Connor doesn't live (or die as the case may be) in that "home" anymore. Haven't read it yet, but I'm super-excited since I'd just finished reading Chapter 10. LOL I was hoping to wait and read them back to back, then I finally cracked and gave up, and wow! Hey Everyone! LOL that is so cool! I'm sure people would guess her character is the least likely to be based in reality, so it's so fun that she's the realistic one! I kinda think James Blunt is good looking, in a different sort of way. You guys see that video for "You're Beautiful"? I really thought he was going to take off all his clothes the first time I saw it (OK I didn't really think they'd actually show it, but it certainly caught my attention ) Ryan's being more "understanding" than I would be. I'd have probably broken up with Connor after the first time. Or at least demanded that it never happen again. Yep, Ryan's a good person. I think this is going to backfire on him though. Given Connor's reaction at the end of 10 (he think's it's over), I think he's going to impose some space and distance...leave Ryan alone if you will. This, I think, will make Ryan decide that Connor has re-evaluated his feelings and elected not to be with Ryan. I think it's going to be a big, ugly misunderstanding. I don't think Toby would do that to Ryan. However, under the right circumstances I could see Ryan backing off to "let Toby have him". You know being the good big-brother and assuming he's acting in Connor's best interests too. **shrugs** hard to say, but I don't think Toby'll let it happen even though he wants it (and even if Connor changes his mind). I'm not really a uniform guy, but I guess baseball pants can be nice on the right guy . Soccer (American football) uniforms probably hold the most allure for me....Aren't lacross uniforms similar? This is good advice regardless of the situation I agree with Mark, we should relax (which will be easier without the caffeine) and let Dom update at his own speed. We can't expect to be as pleased with the results if he just rushes and releases something before he's really ready anyway

Hey Nate, I already cast my vote. I just had a thought though. I'm not sure anyone else has had this experience, but personally speaking I was here for several months before I ever noticed this part of the forum. I always went straight into the "Dom's stories" subforum. It took me quite awhile to notice anything was posted in this "outer forum". Not only that but I often forget to look here for updates. In fact just today I was about to sign off when I remembered to check this section as well. So anyway I was just wondering if perhaps there's a way you could post a redirecting link or something to this thread from the "Dom's sotries" areas. I really may be the only idiot that has trouble remembering to look here, but it does seem like that section gets more traffic. I'm looking forward to the updates, and I know they'll turn out great! Hey Viv! WOW!! That was an AWESOME chapter! I can't figure out if Sean for sure knows or not. I guess he doesn't since I don't think anyone's told him, but on the other hand I'm pretty sure he's figured it out on his own. I can't wait to see how Sean and Bobby react to Tim's insults, it'll really show the depth of their support. It'll definitely be interesting to see how Stephan handles this too! I was thinking he could say, "Because he's my friend, so $%@$-off ", but then again since he actually tried to unseat Jesse, maybe it is a little more serious. Ok so let's see. Here's a quick recap of what happened over the Easter holidays. My mom and I went and visited my grandmother and aunt (dad's side of the family). My grandmother decided to give me my graduation present early. Yay! It was a check and it'll really help assuage my financial stress with the move. Then I found out that my cousin had written this nice little article about romantic love which had gotten accepted and was being circulated in papers all over the country. So I thought that was really nice! (This isn't the cousin I'm closer with and whose sexuality I have wondered about . Actually I don't think she'd ever write an article like that . A few years ago we were sitting in the car on the way the mall and this nice little love song came on, and I was like, "awww isn't this a great song!?" and she was like, "well it's nice but completely unrealistic." "what do you mean", I ask. "well" she resonds, "there's just so many other things out there more important than love." **me giving her a sad/shocked look**, "what? you don't really believe all that do you?" she askes, "I mean love's fine, but I'll take fame and fortunate any day" ) Well anyway at least one of my cousins is romantic and happily married. I also found out that she'd been having trouble conceiving, but they'd discovered a cyst in her uterus and removed it, and they're pretty sure that was the culprit. So on the way home my mom and I stopped at a casino. It was pretty fun. We both ended up winning a bit, I was way up until right at the end when I lost a bit , but at least I still left ahead. I'm actually really looking forward to moving to a state that doesn't have gambling. I've pretty much kicked the habit -- I only go when other people want to now -- but it'll be nice to just not have the temptation at all. Anyway as for my main grandparents (...well that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean). My grandfather's still very sore from the ribs, but he refuses to let it slow him down much. So he's still out in his garden etc. every day. Which I guess is nice, but on the other hand it seems to be keeping him achy longer, and may be slowing his recovery. Meanwhile my grandmother's Alzheimer's is getting worse . After we got home that day (Saturday) she asked my 3 times (within the span of 40 min. ) If I wanted to go to church with her the next morning. Each time I said yes. The next day I woke up to discover she'd gone without me. She said she wasn't sure if I wanted to go. (I ended up going that evening after I'd gotten home). ****************** So anyway today was an interesting little day. I woke up certain I was going to skip class, in fact I even got up to go to the bathroom intending to go back to bed. But then I realized I wasn't that tired, and if I hurried I could still make it. Plus I realized today would probably be the day we'd find out our scores from the last test. And it was. I made a really high B. So now all I have to do to pass that class with a C (which is the minimum passing grade for this class), is get a 46% on the final. So I can breath much easier now. Not getting a C in this class was the only possible way I wouldn't graduate. So I'm in complete coast mode now (hence the skipping ) Work was interesting. On two seperate occasions someone came up behind me and grabbed my hips. First Stacey, then a couple of hours later Patrick. LOL I guess I should wear that pair of (snug) pants more often . Of course I'm sure it would have bothered some people, but given my flirtatious relationship with both of them it wasn't really inappropriate, more playful. LOL I thought it was a pretty big coincedence though. Believe it or not I go weeks at work sometimes without anyone grabbing my hips, then lo and behold twice in one day . So anyway then I got home and was just setting in for a nice quiet evening when the power went out . So I called the electricity company and found out it would take about 2 hours to restore. So I decided to go out to dinner, and elected to walk since I was in an energetic mood (It was probably only about 5 or 6 miles round trip anyway). I'd called my friend Mandi to see if she wanted to come with me, but she was eating at the time. I couldn't hear her too well on the phone, but I think she said she was eating with Joe, her long distance boyfriend who'd come to stay for Easter, but should have been home by today! So I guess I'll get the scoop on that later lol. So anyway I get to the restaurant and the hostess takes me to this table, but the busboy is in the process of bending over it, clearing everything away. So the hostess says, "Oh Jeremy, I thought you'd finished that already" then she turns to me and says, "Sorry, it'll just be a second". Now the thing about Jeremy is, Jeremy is well-built. Now the thing about me is...well you guys know the thing about me . So anyway I really didn't mind waiting on Jeremy at all . So anyway when he's done she seats me and hands me a menu and says, "Cody will be right with you to take care of you." So of course I'm thinking, "Why can't Jeremy take care of me?" ....well at least that what I was thinking until I met Cody . So Cody was really cute! He had these really pretty blue eyes. Speaking of his blue eyes they kept making a good bit of eye contact with my own blue eyes. Not only that but I swear I saw him looking me over a few times. Not to mention smiling, there was lots of smiling on both our parts. So I dunno, I was actually thinking he may have been gay. Plus he was pretty willing to engage in conversation with me and we both seemed disappointed when he kept having to get back to work. And you know how sometimes if you're interested in someone you have trouble thinking of what to say to them? Well I talk too much so I don't usually have that problem , but anyway I still had lots of things left to say to him that I never got around to saying. But anyway I'd just finished my first drink, a mudslide, and decided it was so good I'd have a 2nd (hey I was walking after all! ). So anyway he was saying, "yeah, it looks so good I want to get one now." so I was like, "Oh, have you tried them?" and he responded, "not from here." So I really wanted to say, "well I'd be happy to buy you one." (or maybe something a little more subtle like, "well they're so good I insist you try one" ) But I figured that was way too forward, plus I was only thinking he was gay, no real "proof", I mean heck it may have just been good customer service . So I just said something like, "yeah they're really awesome, you ought to try one." . I dunno, I'm guessing he probably wouldn't have been allowed to drink on duty anyway. And is it really okay to hit on your waiter? I mean isn't that really rude or something? **Sigh** but it was a fun dinner. So anyway I got home and my lights were back and now I'm doing some laundry. WOW, that is something! You know I've heard from several people that if you're out in a very dark area and you come to a red traffic light, you can change it by flashing your brights at it. I've never tried this though and it sounds like an "urban legend" to me.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed chapter 3 of Cameron! Wow, I'm dying to know who it was that ended up coming to get him! I'm inclined to agree with what several others have said. It's probably Kyle's father. I also wouldn't think it could be Cole and his family yet. Although I guess that's a definite possibility if they're already registered foster parents or something, and Cole heard about what happened. Actually though one of my first thoughts was that perhaps Cameron's dad changed his mind and came to get him. I'm not saying I think he's suddenly going to be a "good guy", but I can see him wanting to save face or something. If it is him I bet there's going to be quite a bit of drama between him and Child Services, especially since Cameron just discussed how he used to be hit and is basically ignored. I'm really looking forward to reading the next chapter! I can't wait Kevin

I guess we can let our imaginations run wild Isn't it about the time the "slow season" started?? I know it hasn't quite been a year since I first found TOU. When I did I remember it had been since April 30th that it had been updated (I believe it was stuck on the end of the chapter with the marshmellow scene). Anyway if I'm remembering correctly that had been in June. So we're probably about due for a slow down. apparently not OH MY GOSH!! I just posted about the same thing on a different thread WT 10 Yes I think I know what episode you're talking about. That was a lamb vindaloo if memory serves. And that was several seasons later in the episode DNA (I think). Lister eventually killed it with a cold beer and then started to eat it. I agree with Green. Let's give Dom a break. He does have a real life. And I think we all know how tough it is deal with "person things". If he were only a magic elf or something I'm sure he wouldn't have all the other complications and drama, but alas he isn't. .....hmm if an elf had private matters to attend to...would they be "elfal" ? :wacko:

Nor had I for that matter. In fact there was a whole episode of the British comedy/sci-fi series, Red Dwarf dedicated to what can happen when Gazpacho is served hot (if anyone's interested I believe the episode is entitled "Me 2" and is in the first (possibly 2nd) season)
