Very interesting. We see a little action, but Mark has not let any indication of why the brig held out until it was a wreck. I just know there is a surprise waiting for us.
I once thought of Calvert as a danger to George, in that he has trouble with his emotions showing too much at times. The more I think about it you are exactly correct. Granger needs the huge support he gets from Calvert while Calvert seems to be okay with his recent demotion to a support role after being the man in charge of his own ship. He appears to be better at his obvious display of emotions than he once was. I get the impression that Lord Granger will need all his support and leadership abilities this voyage. A lot can be said for having a friend at your back.
Well poor George doesn't seem to have anything but problems. Doing nothing doesn't seem to be our boy's desired method of dealing with problems, so I can't wait to see how Mark works this out......
i
I for one think the Royal family are starting to get a little uncomfortable with the way John Company is acting like they don't need the Royal family to agree with who governs one of his Majesty's colonies. If Maidstone is behind this power trip he may try to have Granger hanged when his arrives at his new little kingdom.
Another fantastic chapter. Poor George has all these problems and not much help he can rely on to help him implement a solution even if he magically comes with a good one. I think the privy council and the government are trying to give George a mental breakdown before he can even get to his brother and that related set of problems.
I still say as soon as the tape is released and it is shone to the masses, the cartels will all be after Bridget and company. Dead will most likely welcomed instead of the pain she will be subject to.
Another wonderful chapter, Mark. i love this series. like some of the others have said, i would have preferred Conway got a better punishment but that is why is such a good story teller. He seems to find just the correct amount of force and justification to make the story great.
i trust that Mark will insure that Conway is subjected to a little pain and anguish before he decides he wants to stay on the island instead of continuing the voyage. Scum like Conway need to suffer before being left ashore willfully or not.
To be honest I am hoping that the man with the hook proves to be more loyal than most and finds a way to give Granger information about what Conway is up to. just another example of the loyalty his crew shows for granger.
Thanks Mark for the much awaited new chapter. Seems our Mr. Conway tipped his hand too early. I wonder if his time aloft will make him realize that his captain is on to him, My guess is not, but I think Lord Granger will find a way to turn him. He could be a great ally if somehow stopped from being a Maidstone stooge.
Thanks for the chapter Mark. My timing was perfect. I just finished reading the first seventeen chapters last night and woke to this new chapter. WOW.
HEY
I am one of those that is guilty for not leaving feedback recently. I assure you it isn't because I'm not enjoying this story. I do think the length has had an effect on saying great story so many times.
I do think if Shane and Trevor were to publish the tape and list on the net, the Cartel would be much too busy to worry about a couple cats at sea.
You CAP freaks are much worse than we patient Granger freaks are. Just kidding, but we have been waiting much longer without breaking into where is my story whine.
Hey Mark I hate to be a PITA, but can you give us some idea when we might see another Granger chapter? I know I'm not the only PITA wanting to know just the one with enough brass to ask.
I can't say I like this turn of events, but I can understand. I am glad you told us why the CAP weenies were getting all the love and none for Granger. I am trying to be funny and tell you we understand while telling you we do appreciate your hard work.
