Yup, the difference in Owen, the spontaneous libido and aggressiveness speaks of Owen either having an affair or at least fantasizing about someone…other than Troy, at least to me. The strong bonds built in a deployed combat unit can be rather instense, essentially especially those like Randy and Kent’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t agree to take one week at each other’s home as they combine their time off. Thank goodness they all made it back without collecting any more Purple Hearts or flag draped caskets.

Great chapter…until resting on a knife’s edge. Az’gannil seems true and sincere, and ironically more than a Skai brother amongst those gang. I love the dynamic and the bonding building between them all; one that seems so natural. Now, who are these people. Who do they work for and how is our intrepid gang going to fair in this tense situation; is it really a threat or is someone making a point that they shouldn’t be there, while still not revealing themselves?

Ohhh yeah, can’t imagine any contact between Mikes and Tray being ok with Owen. While sympathetic to Owen, I am still of the opinion that Owen inserted himself into this mess knowing full well that he was begging to be the rebound guy. Yes, he did help get Troy past his depression…or did he give him distraction from the better therapy he needed to truly deal with his losses; friend, brother, lover, partner. I’m not a fan of Miles’ behavior…too much was decided singularity with him being prejudiced himself; they could have done therapy together if he was then convinced of the unhealthy relationship; yet he cut and ran for nearly a decade. The intricacies of his conversations with Erik are still unclear as Erik may have agreed only to Miles’ mind being made up but not to the method…after all, why the almost snip that Troy was getting engaged. There are still too many fill-in-the-blanks to these one-sided arguments or thoughts; but none are compelling to me that Miles did the right thing and did so without communicating to the most important person…that he nearly broke completely, then still stayed away and didn’t want to know the real story or impact, nor to share his own. It was selfish or at least extremely foolish wrapped in good intentions..for far too long! Troy and Miles are at least destined to remain in contact, making Owen forever jealous and insecure, and undermining his own position in Troy’s life. Whether Miles and Troy gravitate back together, I don’t see Owen continuing to have a healthy relationship with Troy…there will either be lines drawn or the jealousy itself will make him pull away. The farther away Owen pulls the closer Miles will be pulled back within the inter circle of Troy’s life. This doesn’t make me a fan of Miles’ conduct over this long journey, but it also reminds us that trust itself doesn’t come without cost; some baggage will always be shared; so will they be happier sharing it together or sharing it separately.

True, but if he hasn’t sorted this out, especially at this age, then will Miles ever be able to have a loving relationship without abandoning it yet again…can he really be trusted to hold your heart and love? It’s not a great vote of confidence that he didn’t contact all these family members and his true love…for so, so, so, very long. Given the long period of absence, yet the near heart stopping realization that he had finally found Miles and all his walls came crashing down. I don’t see Troy hearing out Miles and then reacting like, “you mean I’ve driven myself to manic depression and that’s all you got?” Nope, I don’t believe Owen can Servive his own insecurities and jealousy to see if Troy and Miles can even start to rebuild their friendship, let along rekindle the sex life after all the emotions of loss and guilt have tainted the ole swimming hole. So, the question posed I think last chapter was win-win or lose-lose, but their are three dice in each roll and the best out of 1, 3, 5, etc rolls may still leave everyone wondering what their feelings are capable of; Troy forgiving or learning to live with Owen’s insecurities, or Owen forgiving Troy that he has to have more time to put his life in a current prospective with Miles, Troy forgiving Miles for leaving, for not communicating for years, for refusing to let anyone know anything, for not at least being a family member to the family, etc.. Then, can Miles accept that Troy wants; him or Owen without the lingering doubts and possibly jealousy of the long time spent in his stead. There emotions aren’t going to suddenly clear as if the fan clears a smokey room. Even the thoughts of a throuple are likely ill fated as the emotions are going to start speaking more clearly as these young men learn the new adults and how they play off each other, but my bet is one would be left odd man out…if not kicked out of bed.

Their pride will be serverely wounded that anyone dare mess with one of their own…yet, Casey could still fine himself at risk from within, as Thompsons take care of their own business. Hopefully Jamie gets credit for his growing maturity, but also his risks, and he gets the larger truth of what his big brother experience; he needs to learn and this being close is the best teacher…as there will always be another THOMPSON.

Yes, hopefully Natasha has screwed the wrong pooch and will get her just rewards…along with the snakes she co-opted to be her instrument in high crimes. This will hopefully be a quick slam dunk as the judiciary has to address this quickly; the preliminary hearing itself should quickly convert into the court case that would seem to be a formality in haphazard fraud.
