I think it was Dexter that made those claims of seduction, while Jeremy remained frozen in his own mental guilt trip of having “cheated” on Ethan during Carter’s demanding challenge. His father raised him with the vindictive Aunt Shelia, but where is his mother and why were they parted in anonymity? Meanwhile Ethan’s mom married Dexter’s dad, but is Dexter a step-brother, half-brother, or the seemingly less likely full brother from separated family/siblings? More importantly, could Ethan and Carter be family; brothers, cousins from these secreted away memories that Carter has of closeted claustrophobia? Many mysteries and many possibilities…oh, what a wicked web we weave, when we practice to deceive; ourselves or others in my mind. Haha

I’m not expect anything other than blood to be found, especially not lube. Luckily modern forensics makes it much easier to prove this type events and that the perpetrators did have presence and exposure that is well beyond normal interactions. As a victim of gun violence well before cell phones, and DNA forensics, I was fortunate enough to have get recall and gave much detail of the felony events. Likewise, I took the time to go through lots of binders with suspect photos (again, this is before internet). A willingness to testify and to take time to replay the events helps prevent others from living these type repeat offenders. My perpetrators did have mugshots on file, I identified them over several days and trips to give testimony; they got many years before they finally got parole, but I can still remember some of the details even today. I do encourage any victims to come forward. It does helps to put your own trauma behind you as opposed to reliving the trauma ashamed and by yourself.

Wow, so sad to think his father was only 23 at his passing and a great loss of a high school sweetheart to a 23 year old mom, with a 5 year old child; that’s a lot to deal with. As cold as surrendering her child seems, it could have been even worst than fosters to have a single parent that was not all together and a chronically depressed alcoholic. So what might have been, was probably forever lost with his father’s death. 😢
