Hmmm, an Irish brogue doesn’t make a brute, but a brute can wear a smile and enjoy a drink until he has his audience dancing to his script. On the surface Remus appears sincere, and could potentially make an ally, but the story also reads as if the euro hunters have him tired and ready for semi-retirement; so why petition for a large territory and a somewhat urban setting at that. If he continues to prove sincere and worthy, with his keen insights and awareness, he could also be a great addition to the larger alliance of regional alphas; he did provide some manipulation training on the spot to an upcoming but powerful young mage. The Electric Panda should provide some confidence in Remus’ persona and that reference was freely exchanged speaking volumes for Remus. Vinsy once again gets a friendly reminder of his inexperience, but true to his friendly and inquisitive nature, demonstrates his ability to attract friends and allies. This could be a weakness to be exploited in the future, but with an accumulation of allies it seems the layers of protection would prove that most difficult in the long run. The Electric Panda feels his distraction from work, but not to reflect that as bad, but at a level of partnership he has never truly had to balance; as a problem solver he is bound to get it managed before he fails in duty or love ❤️. @astone2292, a great character introduction and story build up to the many suspenseful storylines within, great addition here!

Hmmm 🤔, bonded not only with a human, the Human Essell, a human male that has a mother type bonding with the Cerops, Bouncer, a protective and traditionally aggressive creature that also shares his bonding with the more masculine Garjah. Now how again, gathering-o-vals, do you expect this bond to suddenly revert to your traditional vision of a normal bond? The fact that the gathering-o-vals, has seemingly discussed this bond and now the repercussions of breaking such bond gives reason for great concern; a concern that perhaps the “un-trainable cerops” may sense to give the magnified paranoia to Essell, and the lack of tolerance by Garjah, as these emotions are the protection I would expect the cerops child to alert on; and that is maybe the most clear thought of the meeting for this special family unit. Handicap or defensive posturing via bond? This gathering has the curiosity to make it seem innocent, yet they quickly talk of the broadcasting emotions of Essell. Ironically, their on judging arrogance seems to be feeding Bouncer’s discomfort and minimal tolerance beyond the close circle of his family. Bouncer’s “reading of them” may be bond transmitted in the paranoia and intrusive judgment and superficial tolerance. Given the collective feelings and comments within this commitment block, I’m thinking this notion to feed Bouncer the Gathering-O-Vals, may ultimately be the Garjah family’s judgement in response to the non-sense that may be found around the corner.

The broken connection with Talon may be somewhat like that of Anders, they have to touch and reestablish their healthy link. Anders’ was a poisonous/diseased link where Talon and Kalian’s were healthy and nondestructive. But with Talon resenting Kalian at the moment there will be no chance to reestablish their special mental bonding. Hmmm 🤔, at what age did Anika lose her soul and can we even believe the bartering she’s doing in the name of her family has any truth or is just another ploy to win her own privilege; either way, their House has fallen into disrepair and the Royal edges have frayed rather badly now. Wren is quite the monster doc…let me check his eyes, smack up side the head…yup, he’s ok! Hahaha 🤪 Now for the Soul Eater; as much as the soul eaters feel superior, this one was trapped; so too was the power of the creature, or so it would seem as there was no poof to exit as mist. There are only two that have the shared souls of the beast, perhaps three if some history ties to Wren, but it would seem logical that the Soul Eater being barricaded in with those two, may have possibly gifted Kalian it’s powers too; for that’s where it’s mate resides and there was that connection in Kalian’s shared previous existence, otherwise the Soul Eater’s resentment of Talon stealing part of his souls would continue to outweigh the desire to reclaim that which would no longer serve him at the expense of loosing the connection with his mate in Kalian. Maybe the power boost burned the connection with Talon, but could it have likewise fried a little of Ander’s brain too? Aramis, the real Kalian still loves you as do the other misfits; be strong and remember the dagger when helping Loren sever his precious…link with Anders! 😝 @Demiurgeyou’re amazing! 🎉🎊🎈

Interestingly enough, I believe the comparison of the powers over emotions and feelings by Father and the Whale are quite strong; perhaps deeper seeded in the long histories of magic control, or loss of control, dating to the elf’s. Agreed…, if it were clear that these thoughts are indeed Charlie’s, but the logic and the expressions don’t speak “from Charlie” to me. Therefore, I don’t believe the “don’t search” and the forever “fair well” Charlie presented. It is definitely written so as to beg for better clarity of Charlie’s true wish, without possible influence, and why the no contact wishes if all is right and good; possessive seems to be the theme… It seems the whale is very powerful, but needy, lonely 😩, yet wanting only codependency in relationship. The statement of reassurance from Charlie that he will be back while the whale somewhat whines like a child. So I don’t think good or bad in the traditional sense because it is happy to just have Charlie. It doesn’t seem to understand the human emotions and tries to let Charlie assure mom that he is ok, united in friendship, and leaving the nest for good; more animal instinct than human, yet the emotional control from the whale tells Charlie that the moon is not right, the sand is not right, something just feels not…right. These emotions don’t appear to be a human boy’s thoughts and feelings, not Charlie’s at all. It seem to be a more primal basic need and emotion from the Whale. Yet the whale believes this may make the companionship more complete and sever the adolescent ties the young human still has with the parent. So the conflict does exist, and if not stopped from manipulating the free will of humans, then it seems destined to be an enemy; a powerful enemy without understanding of human emotions and relationships. It does make me think this is going to be very interesting ride indeed, but it may bring us closer to the first book opening of beast(s) containment, and maybe some history of the magic families of power on earth. Sorry to tie these comments, but they all seemed so close and related in various ways. Thank you @Rhythminthemindfor bringing us this exciting look into the next book of this wonderful tale!

I’m just thinking out loud here! lol 😝 As much as the innocent want to believe it’s the smoking gun, the evidence only shows the likelihood that a school or district policy was violated. If excessive force was indeed applied then the video along doesn’t show or prove that, it only shows a likelihood. The boys never mention photographic evidence of Jerry’s abused bottom, that would be needed to compliment the charges of excessive force or abuse; as paddling is allowed and the school doesn’t appear to have restrictions of video documentation, so the lack of witness is the only policy violation. They need the brother to feel the pressure of trouble from parents and police, and the hero Jerry if necessary to push him over the edge with the parents with his testimony of the phone conversation heard and the explanation of the brother. They desperately need an insider witness to those tapes being used for other than documenting discipline. The most logical crack to exploit is the brothers as parties to both the action against person and then the other as witness to disclosure that act for entertainment, without regard to protect identity and probably as a targeted victim for the same entertainment; therefore they need to turn the brother, or someone with first account witness to the real crime of targeting and disclosure, to be a state witness; then the/those video(s) will be much more than beyond documentation, and the search warrants and man hunts will be rampant. Otherwise, it’s internal disciplinary action for an arrogant and dominant… paddler.

If Jerry is agreeable, there needs to be several copies made, then Jerry needs to agree to get them a state’s witness; and perhaps protect t his brother if he believes him redeemable. The boys can mail one copy to Jerry’s parents anonymously; withJerry playing unaware, and instructions to view and discuss with both kids before contacting the police with caution as the boys know the victims and perpetrators. If the brother turns witness with amunity, then he may be able to get off or only probation in a sealed juvenile record; while he can open this to include multiple counts of this crime, and encompass all the other “players” in this abusive crime ring. The second and third copies can be sent in timed sequence to the police and the state attorney general; with a fourth and fifth copy to be submitted to the school board and media. The sequence should allow only hours for the parents to present the evidence and plea deal to turn state witness against the ring and ringleaders. The rapid release to police and state AG would allow for arrest and/or prevent escape of the parties implicated. I believe in maximizing the cordon, arrest and conviction of these abusers; yet lawyers, and police may not be effective in a sting, especially when the cat is out of the bag by loss of that camera, time is super critical as someone may already be on the run.

First, possession of evidence doesn’t require disclosure of the chain of custody or giving up one’s 5th amendment rights in the US; they just have a tape as far as the lawyer is concerned. Buy a player or let the lawyer provide one. The camera doesn’t need be involved in the reporting of the evidence, the tape itself is the evidence, however a lawyer is not required to report a crime by his clients or anyone else if the crime didn’t, or is not about to, cause imminent danger or harm to a person(s); even that doesn’t require the client identification if the crime is preventable by nature of reporting the time and location of a crime itself. Therefore, the camera can be presented without disclosures of the origin other than a minor client presented evidence of a crime. Likewise, material evidence stolen or confiscated in testament of a crime can be admissible under many provisions within the law. Furthermore, the property could most likely be considered that of the school’s by nature of the equipment being used and/or stored on school property, in the conduct of the official’s job; the liability of the school is complicit as the conduct is under employment and performance responsibilities. Regardless, there be heap’m big dodo for everyone anywhere near these activities!

To borrow the expression from ages old judgements: You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting. It seems to be an ages old expression of character and strength. Also, this reference to “tested” seems to be twofold, one for adequacy as a hero, skills, gifts, and courage in the face of danger without reinforcements. The other is what I think, the young hero’s, along with you and I, would love to known; for what purpose would this person or entity find it necessary or advantageous to harvest the most proven heroes? Are we seeing the conscription of heroes to form a special force, whether offensive or defensive, or is it more sinister so that these heroes are lost to the ones they protect? @BKWildenberg, the story just keeps adding more mystical suspense and magical adventure to be wrapped in friendship, comradely, and youthful love. Hmmm 🤔, so Anders thinks himself invincible with the lesser minds, however, he too should recognize the powers of the ancient one within Kalian. But likewise the connection of Talon and Kalian still seems unique; is it the attachment of the Soul Eater and it’s mate, which then gives Talon a stolen piece and Kalian’s gifted powers of the mate? Or is it a power that all ancients should have but have lost? The connection of Talon and Kalian was used against the Soul Eater, so either the Mate was more powerful and/or the Soul Eater was already weakened. Now the power of the two still has the same reasonable opportunity to get Anders off balance and possible steal or trap some powers, if not all, if they can find text or trusted guidance on binding the binder! 😝 Likewise, to identify the signature of Anders within the mind-scape so that he too can be extracted from the hidden shadows. The questions I have are that; are his mind powers less influential with distance? Lex was disciplined/controlled in the Royal Court Introduction, yet not so when the trap was sprung and the Misfits were spared, or even when Lex was destined to be destroyed by Kalian so that either mind, Lex or Kalian, could have spared the wild card Captain.... 🤨 so Kalian was not subdued in mind while Lex was meeting his Fate. Even if the usefulness of Lex was approaching an end, the last best opportunity to kill Kalian was lost when the Misfits were rescued by a mind touched Kalian and then when the mind touched Kalian personally started the ending of Malicious Mallex himself; and his Reign of Terror. Somewhat of a conundrum of Anders powers, limitations, and logic. If he had ultimate power he would just have Kalian go supernova...but he does not. Things that make you go hmmm 🧐. 😂

Sweet (blue/green) balls of lightning! @BKWildenberg, sorry I missed this posting when originally posted, but I found it now and enjoyed the training progress as we expect the young hero’s to accomplish great tasks with little experience and training; their cohesion is a nice testament to their growth as a single unit.

As I look into the mirror at my human form, unshifted, yet gifted or touched by the gods themselves as I too witness rings around my ankles. Not just one ankle but both, and with multiple rings shading each ankle more distinctly than previously ever noticed. Realizing this blessing in witness of possessions by the Gods, though not remembered, is non-the-less significant as there on my ankles is this testimonial of godly kisses. But wait a minute, I now realize the extensive time on the tractor, in southern boy fashioned shorts and ankle socks of various manufacture, has given me the various sun kissed farmers tan rings about the ankles; damn, back to work out riding the tractor and imagining having mystical powers. But even the menu takes a pass as Yakob gets confirmation of Devine interest with his student; his own efforts to undo contributions empowering the ills of Stefan finds him hopefully allies with an unlikely pairing of Gods, order and mischief? 🤔 Stuerm Is cunning and arrogant, his passive aggressive schooling of the turnling emphasizes that you are a child young Alpha Bolton, while elevating the Alpha Mate Bolton to a True Alpha in compliment but yet reminding him that he is to be schooled by the much wiser and superior Alpha Stuerm. This all in front of the Pack Alpha and Mate Mace, another arrogant slap to his hosts. His arrogance to speak down and insulting to these alphas while presenting his lies and deceit drips of his own shadow operations. He has studied his subjects well; the shadow mage, the second generation pack alpha, the lion enforcer, but he fails to understand the synergy, the bonds, and the alliances surrounding this pairing. Bravo for Vincent that he knows grammar, punctuation, and his ABCs; or his ABDs, meaning Alpha, Beta, and Delta...not Deltas, and certainly not in hiding while tendering resumes and offers. Bravo again that Vincent calls on friends and trusted allies when calling his Panda in the know. The Electric Panda seeks his simpler life but has a driving motivation to correct abuse, and more specifically the perpetrating abuser. His distancing from the EC seems to have reversed course as abuse leads once again to his open case interest in Stuerm; the Panda is charging up Stuerm. But ironically, it could be the turnling that schools Stuerm; will the unassuming and naive young Alpha be awarded another Pack territory? Young Alpha Vinsy may well have to take down a challenger in Stuerm, as Stuerm sees himself superior and Vinsy unworthy. When Vinsy learns of the full extent of Stuerm‘s ills, the naivety and reserve be damned as the travesty will not stand even as lives may be forfeited. Stuerm doesn’t even realize the weight of his invited troubles with the young Shadow Mage Alpha, Mate and Allies; he may wish the EC gets there in time to save him from himself or at least before his plans backfire. @astone2292, another grand addition to the twists and turns of a Shadow Mage kissed by the Gods!

So the possibility of an agreement, much like Wren’s is not entirely beyond consideration. Even if Anders’ power is of similar ancient distaste, the power of his armies could be an delightful smorgasbord for the Soul Eater…and friends; pace yourselves boys. Knowledge of the ancient languages and runes seems to have the power to bind sure beings or to eliminate them if breaking rules or pacts. As for Loren… “Go try and fix your mistake cock for brains.” She cut him off and huffed in annoyance. I choked on a laugh and Loren saluted. 😝 @Demiurge, three steps forward and two back; delightful progress none the less!

Oh my goodness @lilansui, this chapter is so suspenseful but still laced with the love and innocence Jihan hopes to protect in Rashan. Neither Jihan nor Rashan are warriors but the strong will to protect selflessly seems to be a possible force more powerful than the sword. Their intellect and determination has them maneuvering in this real life game of chess. The choice to bring the Hidden Guard to bear in Jihan’s investigation not only bears fruit of real evidence, but also has the advocate Raven working hard to right the wrongs overlooked far too long. Empress Rushi plans to isolate Rashan in court but the many faces of Kamran house are returning in sheath maneuvers; the excitement for surprises planned and impromptu gives favor to the informal but allied Kamran and Silver Shore forces. The web of deceit Empress Rushi has created with Lord Revi is surely destined to fail, as who can trust a partnership built on the greed and corruption; their goals overlapping briefly while the hidden desires for total domination is deep seeded with both; seemingly rife with betrayal.

My biggest moment of embarrassment was with a young doctor in the USAF when I was fairly new out of college. The full well-man exam was required; some of these events were new to me of course. But the doctor said to pull down your pants and face me, then started to wheel the chair over for their close inspection. Well zippy recognized this as a somewhat friendly gesture toward playing the dunking game and that really started to get some excitement going. The doc quickly finger flicked or thumped zippy up side the head and then proceeded to physically fondle and check the rest of the produce; while zippy quickly left the party and decided to lay back down and rest. Goodness, I didn’t know whether to be embarrassed that zippy got excited or that zippy laid down so quickly after the less than friendly greeting. After an awkward few minutes of indecision, I shyly apologized then asked how they knew that trick? The answer was quite simple, it’s part of the medical training of how to calm the excitement some have when nekked with all the produce laid out and about to be fondled by the shoppers at the farmers market; right there in public, with the lights on!

But not the nurse or urine samples....NO! hahaha 😝 enough said.

What retched behavior from people in authority, educators, and leaders among those in trusted positions with youth; that violation in itself is a high crime in my mind, but to then specifically target the poor, the Native American, that are unlikely to win support or legally defend themselves, is a hate crime that deserves the most severe of punishments; perhaps old style, first administered in public by the victim(s) or their representative and then by the judicial system itself. The wonderful thing about video memories is that you can enjoy and share those with others. The real joy is that when in arrogance of crime the perpetrator is documenting and sharing his own crimes, in forfeiture of their fifth amendment protections. That’s when videos become so valuable, that it is beyond hearsay, it is usually fact beyond any context or excuse, therefore, most damning. Ironic that these pricks elevate themselves above others in their persona of authority, when they are the scourge of society and above no one, as leadership and trust must be earned continuously. Potentially more ironic, is that these same pricks probably contributed to the abuse and conviction of Wayne’s dad, and man in position to oversee the proper welcoming community for those abusing their children. The circle of life is much smaller for some...hahaha...but perhaps someone will adopt a prison pet, without safe words! @Ivor Slipper, good job at making us either love or hate the characters; you’ve given them life, be it good or bad! Woh, Sascha, Jesse, really? Unbelievable, hopefully that’s not a comfort born of dad’s cold and controlling relationship with Sascha. It makes us wonder, then why did Sascha kiss Billy and then express disappointment that he knows Billy likes Liam...so he has a crush on Jesse but sees Billy as a realistic bromance? It seems he just needs freedom and friends. Maybe the boys need to visit the aunt as it seems she is the most rational and intelligent person outside of Billy’s household. lol Maybe aunty can help Sascha make his prison break from warden dad...or will it be Billy that gives him the little extra confidence to make the move into his own? My, my, @Black Paper, things were so much more simple back on the orchard in Georgia.

@vanalaswow, this is a tough chapter, from the brutal rape into a physical and mental beat down instigated by the perpetrators. Though the deceit was rife, Marcos gave no consideration to what Ramon was claiming. That video and the hotel setup were damning, but still, Marcos totally bailed on Ramon in a fit of rage 😡. Being fed such lies by the very mother that should support him, Marcos should have known that his mother’s reversal on Ramon was too suspicious to trust; even Marcos’ father and brother had to call for humanity in Ramon’s treatment and banishment. It’s a little hard to imagine why Ramon’s father had a tough time finding them or waiting so long to make contact but it does add to the rapid ascent for Ramon and his family; finding the music within him and the news of his business ties about him , has him swimming the rapids of change. Ramon’s departing request of father and dad gives suspenseful hope that Marcos’ mom and partners will face an equally brutal take down and exposure for the high crimes against the love and innocence of Ramon; the only one to bring the wandering Marcos to a serious relationship, mom needs to suffer a total and complete public exposure and humiliation before imprisonment. Argh 😖

I realize this is hella fluffy. Well for this story anyway So my question is… Are ya feelin fluffy…punk? Well are ya? hahahaha Go ahead punk…make my bed! 😝 Wow, Loren is an arrogant ass; is it totally natural or a cover. Rah really needs to talk, as does Loren; from the first day they only ask questions but don’t answer anything of true substance. I think Rah knows valuable information but yet doesn’t realize her own ties to this band of ….brothers, family, misfits. Hmmm, as does the soul eater that seeks freedom from Anders; what was Anders thinking, as he says to the Lion…here kitty kitty here kitty. Oh, Lion?? Lions, dragons and what? lol 😆 Kalian has that gut feeling and he his about to figure it out; I just know it’s about to time he solves a free pieces in this suspenseful puzzle.

Oh Ramon, too naive and trusting. Don’t trust strangers, don’t eat or drink with strangers without the buddy system! Toby, you bastard! I smell the rats known as Marcos’ mom and sister, another setup and Marcos’ distraction was probably an early hint of something rotten or suspicious about Toby showing up. 😡

For an advanced species they were not prepared for Essell and not so Bouncer. Once we get Essell and Bouncer past the nerves perhaps the young scientists can all start truly learning the diversity of the human spirit and the hypothesis the human mind will test; as the mind and spirit may just find excitement and entertainment in illogical randomness. Bouncer adds such a great perspective as his emotions emote that of Essell; that itself is a great ice breaker and probably better for Essell than any psychiatrist or counselor trying to get him to understand his own behavior. lol…a medical cerops, Bouncer. Little does he know that they are both forever written in 4-arm history now. @Cia, short, but sweet and exciting; another great installment in the adventures of this intergalactic blended family!
