  1. Life is full of irony. We may envision our life within the expectations and norms of our society, ours parents, or our peers. But the reality often reverts to the more immediate environment and friendships we find ourselves living; nature has it’s own way of shaping our life for us. Two boys of different worlds, seemingly total opposites, find themselves thrust together in accommodations and in jobs. Sharing each other’s lives, learning their fears and their limitations, gaining perspective and understanding, can have a way of overriding the expectations of others; the naivety of understanding oneself driving us to destinations unknown. Seeking friendship, security, understanding, and companionship has a way of stripping away the facade of confidences not earned and fears not recognized. Ironic that the more personal emotions should find the roles of our two young men may now reverse; as the confident becomes unsure and the shy one becomes more confident, even bold. @Yeoldebardhas done an amazing job of creating the awkward anxiety of young life and young love. But it is done in such a way that provokes deeper thought and consideration. Congratulations on this creation and delivery! Wow 😳
  2. Yes, spar for real and gain that perspective and experience. While VinnieM has expanded magic but the speed of the dance, VinnieW has the speed of the hunt with his own teeth to bare; now imagine when they practice their own hunting dance, with rapid switching between the two, until then the MageWolf seems to become one. Though Little Lord Vagner seems to have soiled himself, the damages from his own corrosive environment may be a lasting scar. I was hoping Vinnie would get a more hands on opportunity to defend the little people. 😝 Could it be a relapse may still allow his probation be revoked?

    Chapter 21

Oh my, while the hints were there before, learning the sad reality of the cost Jerric pays for treating others is shocking; that it costs him life and that he gives it so freely. What a day it has been: learning of a freed royal court assassin, and receiving the hatred of Elfs; you learn you have a mate, brother, friend with which you share a crazy mom that slaps you down the stairs; your paralysis was reversible, as is your loss of speech, but at the cost of accelerating a healers death. Poor Jason has yet another sad chapter in the storybook of his life. This day is enough to take years from the Neko’s life too. It would seem his bond with Devyn is a lifeline for both he and Devyn.
  4. Zeke, kept Tyler away from the organization and especially “G” for a reason. Though we don’t know his motivations, he is very manipulative and without checks and balances, he is as dangerous as those Zeke is charged to protect against. Tyler has been traumatized, but he has proven time and again he is very smart and a quick thinker under pressure; his biggest problem is when he internalizes; so it is very manipulative of “G” to wrangle Tyler, but he is probably underestimating the boy mostly unknown to him. Hmmm 🤔, ironically “G” may be bringing Tyler closer to Zeke and making an alliance stronger then the separation has allowed. A very interesting twist indeed and the suspense, thriller, murder mystery continues to add layers to this huge wild onion @Littlelovestoriesis serving up.

    Chapter 44

Oh heck yeah, Jimmy has the challenges of keeping the pack safe, but he himself knows a lone Wolf is inhumane and down right dangerous to ignore. We also need to see the twins get past the terrible twos and more, as Jimmy fulfills his promise to The Lunar Mother to raise them right. So many great tales yet to emerge; whether sooner or later, I feel the Pack restlessness and challenges will revisit when the time is right. Another great tale and suspenseful journey through the twisted paths of unique drama only @Mann Ramblings can so masterfully offer; thanks for that journey and for sharing those talents with us. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the menu for your next offering! 😝

    Chapter 8

Oh my, so much baggage for all these boys. Michael seems to have a good start on cooling his anger; getting away for his explosive dad and now immersed in the magical world of the arts. With Michael’s interest now held, Ethan will get a break from some of the stress overload. Ethan has much history to deal with but, with just hours in town and Jonathan holding him secure, he has already made huge leaps towards admitting the nature of his situation. With the calming patience Jonathan has shown, the path should reveal itself in time. Though Jonathan does show amazing patience, his determination through the years still speaks of his own unrest. From what Jonathan knew then, and perhaps understands better now, I think he may still help to peel this onion of a mystery for both him and Ethan; in turn Michael may gain a bit more respect for Ethan and Jonathan, and maybe himself too. It’s hard to portray such mental anguish and hardship, but this story is not pulling the punches. You have a nice murder, mystery, suspense drama going here @headtransplant; thanks again for sharing this passion you have.
  8. So if you get possessed by four or more of the seven gods, then should you expect an invite for the family dinner with the gods? 😆 only two more until that heavenly meal. Hey, are there any more of those angel biscuits? Poor Yakob, a monk, a man of vows, attuned to the gods; is not one upped by Vinnie, but now two upped with his strong ties and receiving direct messages through possessions. That’s enough to be a major calling for the monk, if not his whole order. He has certainly taken notice, but what does he do with it? His meditation is going to be a little more elusive than enlightened me thinks. Then the setup for the uninformed Alpha Ty, he senses danger, sees the signs, jumps to the wrong conclusion, and it bites him in the ass...well, it’s really just a strong pinch; butt then whom else can say they have a god blessed ass? Just don’t mention it’s where she snapped her fingers and put him on that same enticing butt. Hmm 🤔, Mace has to have some level of insecurity in finding his Mate is continuing to draw the attentions of the gods; talking about feeling you’re only a small part of the bigger world..., but he has the remember he is the stability and support that Vinnie never had before. Mace, you are a key player, as the God Tarik spilled the beans; all of these characters are very important to the guy being watched by gods. Too bad Lord Vagner is not aware of Vinnie’s lofty fans, that could add excitement to the mouse trap, for surely the gods would not be wasting their time on a non-contender. That big bully deserves any and all abuse he so disparately begged for in his threats of absolute dominance. I just hope the word has spread to draw high attention in witness and the public humiliation he gets is main stream by supper time. Dave, how many women, or partners, have ever said those magical words...“Oh...my Gods! That was the best thing I ever put in my mouth!” ? Everyone needs to be on high alert for Stefan, the gods know he is dangerous and he may break his word for the first time when he is not the overwhelming and favored force.
  9. Remember playing the memory card game, were you flip the cards only one at a time and try to find and match the pairs shuffled about all the unmatched cards laying face down? Now imagine the characters as we introduce and later revisit... hahahaha

    Chapter 7

I found this story a while back, but then I somehow lost the bookmark for it. Luckily, I found the story again and find the story ever bit as enticing. I’m so glad Ethan has removed himself from the same type caustic environment that lead to his traumatic history. Jonathan is a mature adult now, and he views Ethan as a hero. Unfortunately, Ethan can’t seem to leap that hurdle from the scared teen which all blame was then focused, to now as an adult of which was cleared long ago. His life in hiding and traumatic events seared into his brain has left him hobbled. Probably no one understands Ethan as completely and with the understanding perspective that Jonathan has. I’m so glad Jonathan found him, but even then understood to give Ethan a little space to adjust to new possibilities. Thank goodness, it was at a time when Ethan’s necessary flight could have sent him in to hiding unknown. Yet, the draw to Jonathan, and the trust he magically renewed in one visit, has Ethan leaving the security of isolation; even saving yet another teen, that since mistakenly betrayal him, yet still has his protection. It’s no wonder that Ethan is disparately grasping for a life line by the time he arrives at the crazy and luny costume shop. I believe we will see that life line morph into more than just a life line as Jonathan has the long game patience and he’s not likely to give up after years of searching the one who first bestowed affection and protected him the best a teen could be expected to. I’m loving this storyline @headtransplant
  11. There is just nothing that matches the confidence and arrogance it takes to think you have the upper hand while dangling from an airborne helicopter, from the skid no less. No one deserves that terminal descent more than Giada; I’m sure she had a smooth descent,....I until the abrupt stop, upon that spire, long suffer the Queen of Hell! Hmmm, is it Eric’s best friends from growing up that give us the surrogate mother and Derrick’s boyfriend? 😊 Too bad that reunion wasn’t more descriptive, as it would have made the full circle of Eric’s journey a little more defined; but nice notion. I understand the similarities of Jayden and Eric, but that seems to end with when Jayden chooses murder and mayhem. I’m not sure forgiveness and trust could be so easily granted; just as Giada begged to save her life and then tried one last time to murder Eric. The hints of Eric’s suspicions and Giada’s reactions to the mention of Travis being other than Brices’s son still left hanging the question of just how much of that relationship was love vs manipulation to get Brice away from Laurel. Just as the details never affirm Kim’s role in Jayden’s family history; Kim’s quilt alone doesn’t define a crime vs contributions to deceive. Hopefully any epilogue would clarify those stories and the recovery choices Kim and Jayden make to repent for either crimes or conscience. Despite the criticism, the story is a suspenseful, thriller, of love, murder, and deceit. Thank you for the journey @vanalas.

    Chapter 43

We still don’t have a clue as to lineage of Maddie and Doris, but the rationale and support to Jimmy, Sawyer, Jada, and the twins....oh wait, the pack, is definitely a fresh breath for all. Every single member of the pack has now been shaped by traumatic events. Fortunately, the twins will be able to grow without conscious knowledge. I still wonder how many non-current pack members may be out there at the hand of Fergus’ banishment and having fled the submissive abuses coming their way. There is no better way to ring the dinner bell/triangle, than to simmer that creole jambalaya and send the savory aromas into the wood; whether answered from afar or not, that calling should be welcomed by all present. Perhaps the friendly and open atmosphere will give confidence for more to approach; but among any lone wolves, the suspicions and rumor surrounding a lost pack and Alpha should be warning enough for those seeking selfish opportunities.

    Dominoes

Malicious Mallex, is so busy patting himself on the back, perhaps he needs be reminded it’s an even greater reach to pull a knife from one’s own back. He is making too many bold threats against foes he doesn’t understand and certainly doesn’t control; does he really think he will ever share a loving household or bed with Kalian? He’s beyond irrational and just purely psychotic now. Poor Kalian, is thrown from the family, but even that appears to have been a coordinated effort with Mallex. The Alauis family seems too eager to throw Kalian into Lex’s arms, so it begs somewhat of what does Mallex hold over them or how low has the Alauis family sunken? Talon stands up strong, to Lex and to Lord Alauis himself. The bond with Kalian has grown stronger and the confidence grows likewise as they share and protect one another in a more coordinated way. Lex seems confident, but does his confidence come more from his maneuvering with the King? or is it the Queen? Who will be the one(s) surprised the most in this King’s call? and Lex’s glorious moment to force march Kalian to the throne room. I sense a twist that threatens to send Mallex into a fit of rage unplugged.
  14. Wow, at least James is safe. He brings the ole expression of learning by Braille to a whole new level. Not only exploring in his own hands-on and self tought lesson, but to achieve ascension into an ethereal amoeba is probably unheard of. With the power to air-hammer his way into the very conduits or flows of magic, that is amazing to witness; but probably overwhelming to experience without an instruction manual. Fortunately, the laws of nature and magic, seem to be on the side of our budding young hero. I’m not sure if he falls within the class of Mages or something much greater, different; but it seems to be of legends in the making. Amazing are the steps along this storyline @Rhythminthemind, very much captivating.
  15. For what Tasha lacks in training, she makes it up in pure determination. Powering through her pain and injuries to pay her own debts to the Axxhole. Great to learn one of Grandpa’s gifts; a flaming man would scare most anything. Now as a trainer he has to be ready to give coaching to Tasha. How long now before he and the family ignore these government suppression rules and gather these untrained Mages and magically gifted people; especially his own grandson? By some chance hopefully James’ panic lead to the confessed concern for his friend still engaged in a life and death fight. Perhaps James is in with Grandma and Peter back briefing the recent events and friendships. It’s hard to deal with sneaking back in the window, especially when you came flying to the ledge for re-entry.
  16. Well that was intense, and a fantastic save by Tasha. Hopefully she evaded before the adversary recovered. Now at least Tasha and James have a common experience and some basis of understanding of this challenge; perhaps this will motivate finding Casper and joining together. .

    Chapter 20

I’m hoping that the healer will take even more interest in Devyn too as he works with Jason. He noticed the rare color blindness for the werewolf and was struck with that interesting curiosity. Hopefully he may find ways to help Devyn function better within his human form. He truly seems like a great guy with his concern for the impact on Jason’s quality of life. Now as he observes the boys hopefully he can see that same impact for our favorite misfit. 😝

    Chapter 20

How wonderful that the Healer is a true medic, removing any personal and political emotions from his abilities and dedication to healing. Oops, you didn’t know about the mate bond?...I’ll be quiet now. 😝 But how would you like to heal that scar and neck to possibly get your voice back? OMG, what a rollercoaster day for the boys; dismissed from school, learning of threatening political emotions against nekos, wildly transported by a irritation mom, backhanded down the stairs, then another wild ride to meet a healer that shocks in treatment and then in news.. WHAT A DAY! Yes, Richard, it’s time to support the boys, but it will also hopefully bring balance to Maniac Margaret Mom and your family in the long run. If Margaret can reflect upon her life threatening actions, perhaps 🤔 they may survive the news that Jason is her Wolf son Devyn’s mate. While Jason is shocked himself, I belief he is also finding a growing comfort in his destiny and bond with his brother...mate.

    Chapter 19

Ironic that the parents can’t understand the boys not wanting to be home, when the threats of the streets are not what has thrown Jason down the stairs. This reality could hit the parents rather hard when they come face to face with not knowing where the boys have been relocated to and having no control in their daily lives. The differences of natural vs adopted sons has no bearing on child abuse in the home, as all children would be removed until the safety is either assured through removal of the offending parent or treatment and therapy leads to favorable evaluations and re-introduction to monitored family meetings. So congratulations, Margaret, you have now risked your family and done so when protection was your responsibility. The opportunity to truly bond the family through collective strengths has forever been compromised by fits of irrational behavior and rage. How could they have ever thought Jason was to share in their destiny?
  20. You go Tyler! Way to stick up for yourself, and I think Zeke sees and appreciates this progress too. Tyler’s frustration is so understandable but Zeke is in a new circumstance, after being totally used and manipulated in his last relationship. These two young men are both recovering in their own rights, and trying to sort emotions out when stress and depression are present is like sorting cats and twine...
  21. Yay, the young new mage, armed with the knowledge of The Family, has found an inter strength to resist Father. Unfortunately, that act has probably just multiplied his value to the same man he resisted. The ease of which Father took out the Elf, even in a weakened state, definitely makes him a powerful enemy; and begs the question of just what Father is himself. Hopefully Casper can rationalize his next best option and friend in this time of need; and that leads to James as a known friend. Then may the historically powerful and knowable family rally together to protect and devise a plan of action. Another exciting and suspenseful chapter @Rhythminthemind. Thank you for the journey.
  22. I don’t know if Casper just jumped from the fire to the frying pan or vice versa, but this day really sucks for him.

    Escapism: 3.9

The restrictions on magic, required registrations, while not allowing common knowledge, even among those gifted, is leading to so much danger and the newly gifted not knowing who or what to trust. Such a sad state that complicates the human defenses. A great chapter with continuing excitement @Rhythminthemind.
  24. Philippe

    Escapism: 3.7

The attacks are rather dark. They chattered of the apes in reference to the humans, yet for arrogance of a higher being, using birds to viciously attack the “apes” for blood samples seems rather like dark magic. Peter called for mom’s help as the Elfs have returned, but this has hints of arrogance unrestrained by the Elf boundaries. Challenges of the universe seem to be begging of desperation, but the disrespect found in fundamental alliances built in the shadows of servitude to a more gifted race is unforgivable. Hopefully, James and Casper, can discreetly break the law and display their new found abilities to the family of instructors that understand these natural skills; better than beating them for manifestation. Wow, @Rhythminthemind, your storyline is getting intense and packed with suspense; excited to see it develop.
  25. OMG, so much to consider when thinking of two DOM Alpha Wolves stepping forth in unbridled sex; that’s a lot to swallow...ahem, before they even get started! 😝 Screams for the tasty delights provided by Shady Delivery Service can be expected, but are those screams of excitement or terror when departing on Shady Lycan Lyyft Services; Mace? Did you hear some little girl screaming along the way? Mace? You can open your eyes and let go now, we’re there. 😱 Darth Lord Vagner (Wagner) has no idea what his arrogance invites, from the wrath of NY Alpha present and future, to facing the Little, God-Blessed, 3-affinity Mage 🧙‍♀️, Apha Mate Alpha Wolf (LGB3aMAMA Wolf); he could only wish for it be limited to an Alpha Voice. 🤪 As the suspense builds this will probably be a most joyful attitude adjustment to witness. Vinsy, what did you do to him? Well, I just grabbed him and ran him to Philly and back...at full speed; that’s all. 🤣 As innocuous as Alpha Drego seems, the more important disclosure Vinsy can show is not all that he can do in full detail, but that he has general abilities that would tempt a Mage of lessor character, just as any other affinity might be abused; so the shadows don’t make the affinity evil, it is the corruption that some Mages allow. I still advise caution of disclosing all capabilities and strengths, as enemies will allows exist and will forever try to exploit that knowledge. Another great chapter from @astone2292, too bad we can’t send him to the shadows to scribe his wonderful tales! Oh my, was that at loud?
