Yup, the ole classic “why didn’t they do” something more logical in the intro of a movie, as we sit there with fresh popcorn 🍿 waiting for the thrill of a good movie….hmmm, because who wants a 10 min movie 🎥? 😂 That same storyline with all its twists, its tears, and its teases is why we come back for more.

I don’t see it in terms of age or even maturity without consideration of the more encompassing relationships. Jarrod is the newest party to be involved beyond the academic friends and acquaintances. In terms of friendships Kyle and Conner put Jarrod in the position of being the third man (as he hasn’t established the in-depth knowledge and understanding that comes with time). Yet in the circles of attraction and personal relationships, Conner is definitely the third man out (as not emotionally interested or even understanding the dynamics that inherently manifest in daily interactions with two gay ?friends?). So when you say Jarrod is more juvenile, that is true by nature of the infancy of his relationship; but not so much as an uncharacteristic maturity for a young teen-man. As to coming out, public “pride” and even the more simple public displays of affection are more at the comfort and discretion of the individuals. Being bi, but more gay leaning, I can personally say my life and my affections are more discreet, not out of shame or fear but more of privacy and intimacy…it’s personal and private for me. Whether I’m gay, straight, top or bottom, oral for dick or ass, has no place in discussion outside of the relationship unless all parties are on that level of familiarity; families don’t get the level by nature of blood. I wouldn’t dare ask and don’t care whether my dad had oral, anal, or just plain missionary sex. Just because I share the gayness that other men may have too doesn’t give me the right or the expectation that they should profess their sexual preferences or positions. Whether a dinner guest deserves to be labeled as a partner or friend may not be needed unless the public declaration is desired as “we’re going on a date” or “my god he is the best kisser,” yet others may choose for that to remain private…it’s just their comfort, whether gay or straight. Whether my guest is a close friend or an intimate friend is our business until we chose to be more announced or proclaimed. The idea that my sexuality must be declared publicly is akin to wearing labels at the stockyards to me. I have no problems meeting people or understanding when someone is showing interest. Yet that doesn’t mean I’m incapable of discussing or guiding a friend needing to talk or help in seeing their own relationship objectively. Please don’t take this as an attack on your own discussion, but as a little counter discussion that I think sometimes get overlooked in thinking we’re all bursting with public “pride” just because we’re gay; conversely, the fact that I’m not bursting with public pride doesn’t mean I’m hiding or ashamed…I’m just quieter and more private. BTW, my family, my close friends, and of course anyone else close in my circles knows I’m more gay leaning in interest past and present.

Especially young self absorbed girls; no one can date him as he’s reserved for Susie, you can’t date him because he dumped Susie, but the Susie dates another boy to make the first one jealous...hmmm, meanwhile. The boy resents the controlling no date rule, then realizes while trying to date her that she’s totally using him as bragging points and wild gossip of professed love....woah, duck or run. Then he finally finds relief when she dates another boy, but then learns he was supposed to be jealous....argh!!! So while so many women profess absolute hatred of the “c” word adjective, why is it so many girls try so hard to earn it? Could the woman also be hating the word they earned in earlier years? 😝 Another word that can be used by a group but is hateful if used by any other group but themselves. Argh 😤 I believe women make the gay pride movement much stronger. 😂 Guys are so much easier to understand, even if you wish some were different. Guys are dogs, women are cats...that simple. Oops, did I type out thoughts without filter?

Oh my; George lost his love to war, but was it patriotism or fear of the long term commitment that motivated the service? Now fear of yet another loss is not something he can bear...fear to love and risk again. Karl lost his love to a ghost, though slow to recognize as such Karl did love but once love was lost patriotism won his commitment, after all, the war lingers far too long making him fear for all; birth related and/or fosters. Paul lost his friend to fear, fear to accept oneself or fear to accept his friend? Arthur lost himself to fear as another rejection, and perhaps another man, is just not an acceptable in risk or as an acceptable replacement. Yes Karl, fear is a powerful and sometimes crippling thing...but it can also bring about courage, motivation and determination against all odds. Not as naive as he once was, but still as true and sincere to himself and his friends as ever; Karl May bring about refreshing focus on purpose and honoring one another to face life and its challenges; the Great Dane is finding his stride.

Goodness, an unpopular dowager, a Queen in medical limbo, a Regent unknown to the powers absolute rule, and a young Prince holding until of age. A lot can happen in three years, so hopefully the Queen will indeed return to the throne. Even if she doesn’t recover fully, she may be able to mentor the boys into age of maturity…with the new Consort by her side and theirs.
-
It’s good to see the young Prince and his Royal Guard companion settling into their roles enough to; ask for guidance, and to respect the traditions. Yet the compassion Itumak shows for the young orphan Jaime is beyond mentoring by example. Queen Amber may beat this tumor yet; that would provide much more time to mentor and pursue the increased race relations with the growing Royal presence. Great chapter!

Lmao 😂, I was thinking of Sun Tzu as credited with the phrase “Keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer.” But damn, could he really live with mom that close…then again, maybe mom gets muzzled when so far out of her element.

It’s actually ironic that Kalian restrained himself from offing Suman while under Talon’s protection, but then lashed out at Talon. It is also surprising that Talon was more tolerant of this “Suman withholding”, yet again; especially when it concerns Wyn and while they are already bracing/preparing for war(s).
-
Stealth, this was not. Even with their fascination with Talon, this will make it hard to win over control in Dleth…or will it? Outside the close circles of the King, the country may rejoice in freedom from the tyranny. Now the question is, did this really happen? Was this burst an internalization playing out or did he really transport to deal with the King? Either way, it leaves no doubts as to Kalian’s declaration of destroying anything that threatens his family…but he too threatened his family under the pressures of the crazy Suman. This paradox nested within a supernova of supernatural powers trying to break free may give us the birth of a new god, but will this supernatural god fine reason or lash out in madness unrestrained? @Demiurgehas us in at a supernatural cliffhanger.
-
Ok, you’re just needing a little mental reset (control-alt-delete?) and lubrication ( you’re libation of choice), to get new strategic plots plowed ! Besides, the building SuperNova named Kalian has multitudes of secrets to be revealed.

Yeah, I was hoping to see where the love interest was going to develop; Jona, Emmanuel, xxxx? Likewise I was hoping we might still learn the where/how young Toby and his mom Pippa got along, and how are they? At Toby’s age, Carson probably made quite a difference in calming his young mind; easing the trauma of that experience. But hey, this tale is still a good journey!

What!; Mac & Cheese at the street corner of Wino & Whiskey? Although I could enjoy some Mac and Cheese with an entree of Bourbon Chicken with broccoli 🥦 We tried to make Bourbon Chicken in college….but regardless how drunk we got those chickens, you could hardly taste any bourbon once you cleaned and cooked it!

Chapter 11 - Flaming Amy's
Philippe commented on Salander's story chapter in Chapter 11 - Flaming Amy's
Yeah, Meg is triggered to be a social weapon of mass destruction; while neither Jake nor Nic deserves her ire. It’s neat to see them awkwardly learning to accept their own feelings and to also admit their attractions are growing into more than “helping out a friend.” -
Chapter 1: Evaluating Evidence
Philippe commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 1: Evaluating Evidence
Uh oh 😰, Unk Vinsy ain’t medtat’n ’nuff ta be calm; misty Monk gonna be mad, Unk Alpa help him though. Stefan proves himself ruthless as usual, but can “dead men talk?” Shaw realized all too late that Stefan was not someone to team or bargain with. I think he knew his destiny was that of preordained fate. Non the less he did try to help in determining Stefan fate. Alpha Kearney is off to his new life as an undercover Council soldier, but how long before the Mob clan sniffs and tricks to test his presence. The Electric Panda is enjoying the honeymoon year celebrating his mangled purple people making skills; damn the pup makes him burst with new pride; and that Lycan Lawyer does understand gamesmanship and baiting motivations. The Council prestige still flys high for the Panda in close circles, so too does the guidance of his Mate. -
Okay For Me To Hold Your Hand
Philippe commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Okay For Me To Hold Your Hand
Wow, that was one VERY HARD study session! Jonathan follows his heart in the heat his passion but once sated he reverts to over thinking…but not completely unchecked. Maddox does pretty good on gut instincts along. His personal disclosures without reciprocal sharing from Jonathan works for him in breaking down Jonathan’s distancing, but also helping Maddox better understand Jonathan’s guarded nature. Maddox says he’s a quick study, but Jonathan may be a subject he enjoys taking his time with. He already knows Jonathan is likely to give in to his wishes, but the “Mad Dog” wants more than what simple herding will give him. The study sessions are bound to get more interesting 🤔 but it seems some parallel event may be the real learning breakthrough…now just where or what will crumble the walls protecting Jonathan’s heart?- 20 comments

Chapter 15 - I Can See What's Happening
Philippe commented on Xfighter1984's story chapter in Chapter 15 - I Can See What's Happening
Well the wallls of Xavier’s mental wall are coming down. Witnessing the aftermath of his years of dissociation, from them all amid the betrayals of what was his closest friends and acquaintances, was an eye opening experience. It seems to have shown Xavier that while the friends were callous they were not intentionally malicious. It’s good to see them on the mend, learning new relationships and boundaries. -
Drunks? Hmmm 🤔; This could so quickly and easily devolve into the more offensive slang references of….cat fights with pointy eared devils, while the wolf gets credit for the unfortunate setup… Oops, he did it again, some call him trouble, but Aaron calls him friend. However, with the harsh sentencing, will their relationship improve or will it further strain their already strained relations? Aaron has to also learn more compassion and understanding. How much did his shunning his best friend contribute to the unbounded and frustrated behavior? Aaron is not being the best friend either and many friendships get destroyed by lack of two-way compassion and communication.

Desertion of one’s ship or of one’s child?

That’s also tap dancing around the whole doctor/patient confidentiality rule too! Let’s see, modify the pre-op instructions to be; no food or drink for 12 hrs, and no neko cum within 24hrs, before the procedure. Hahaha 🤪

Giving us all a “second opinion “ there? 😆

I’d say at least one swing from each parent/guardian of the abused and then two from/for the kids abused. Hmmm 🤔, and any extras anyone wanted after that. Perhaps a silver clad nail given to each of the affected, to be set with a jab then driven home with the bat?? 👿 It’s a special Townhall feedback with the guest hanging in silver chains Piñata style. Bonus swings if your nail finds bones???

Ironically, as much as Tim would like to hold others accountable, mom shares the same responsibility and guilt for not reporting or taking action; whereas she didn’t want the negative attention of reporting the others wanted the positive attention from not reporting, the end result is they all share the guilt of allowing a serial rapist is continue victimizing others. While healing is needed, perhaps the best community healing is knowing how these things happen and the best way to prevent even more innocents from being victimized; reporting may bring some embarrassment, humiliation, or even taint personal reputations. Maybe the community needs to learn the bravery to face these crimes is a personal sacrifice to protect others from the same fate. The principal, the DA secretary and others gave aid to Bruce to evade charges and court proceedings; then and more presently. The principal appears to have used unethical influence to bully protections for Bruce, knowingly aiding the coverup of those and other ongoing crimes; making him an accessory. Court proceedings to convict him is separate from charges against Bruce, but it also makes an indirect conviction of a dead man possible by proving the other parties knew and aided in crimes. The nature of these coverups are every bit the insult to the victims as ignoring the claims by any new victims….so how does the community learn best when the status quo is crimes are personal problems of the victims? I definitely believe crimes should be respectfully pursued, but false claims should likewise be handled with the same conviction. False claims out of personal regrets or to protect one’s image when unexpectedly discovered in an embarrassing situation are unforgivable; as the “presumed victim” victimizes an innocent party by abusing the laws for personal benefit while destroying the reputation of the innocent party. So severe punishments for high crimes should likewise incur severe punishment for any that cry wolf.

Wow, do you know how to break out the tears of the heart or what! What a wonderful valentines surprise and so, so fitting. Whether planned or maybe influenced by the coming of this day, this chapter is amazing. The history tying the long struggle for Tani to larger issues of power struggles and deception spilling from the immortal realms is so….powerful? 😝 Then the triumph of Dante’s binding to win over the harsh punishments against the heart is so heartwarming that as anyone reads this it has to have a magical sense of rightness; belonging where only evil has kept it apart. Happy Valentines Day!

Yup, young love. Are we alone?
