Hmmm 🤔, the last time we (Kalian) saw heads explode was when Talon’s memories were exposed through their bond link; the terrible attack on Talon’s family, the life leaving mom’s eyes, and sister abandoned as young Talon a small to win both their freedom. Rah, imprisoned? Rah, as possibly Lyrah, Talon’s little sister that was supposed to have been taken as another of the King’s chess pieces. There seems to be a story there, but how could she not remember Talon; at least as his name has surely not changed too. Kalian has found more confidence and is even fighting as a warrior without magik . What a change from the attic room hide away. Yes, suspense of family, suspense with friends, suspense for Syrin news, and suspense for what the fates will mean for the shadow and the light. @Demiurge, what friends abandoned another just because they enjoyed a drink and got a little crazy…I can’t remember,…did we..did…was that really what happened? Hahaha 🤪 Sometimes that memory loss is a blessing,…as long as all participants suffer that same loss!

Omg, not only can you not trust them, but they are pure evil; it’s unforgivable but as family members it’s inconceivable. Dan is no friend and he is sealing his own fate to never be friends with Marcos forever and always; he’s a snake! 😡

Wow, what a hello; no subtlety about the sonic casting. So there is something definitely off about these two; too bad we don’t have a mind reader among the misfits. To use such blatant magik casting in an area known for magik prosecutions seems like flashing a billboard of identity, and picking a fight before possibly building an alliance; or knowing what abilities who have invited to retaliate. The possibility that these could be agents for the crown, testing for magik defenses, and testing for those against the crown...so a possible wolf in sheep’s clothing. Pursuing bed partners is also a way to gain favor, trust, and ...pillowtalk. Proceed with extreme caution misfits, and some prejudice, until true intents are known; poor Kalian, too trusting and compassionate to be on guard of the possibility for manipulation again. We know nothing of them, they still refused to disclose, and Amaris, magik can be a mask of beauty too, don’t kiss that frog just yet! So @demiurge, If we encourage you to drink, a healthy glass of wine daily, we’ll see frequent updates and animalistic sex? 😂 win, win! lol Another great chapter; mystery and suspense abounds!

The ramblings of a tired mind and body! 😝 A legend in my own mind… Hanging within the fecal stealing shadows? Does this magic make my mass look fat? Indirectly, I was saying that there was no progress on the NY pack storyline and the cliffhanger those characters will bring to resolution in a most electrifying and en-lightning way I’m sure. Also, that of the three potential pack leaderships applying, the first interview is probably the only realistic choice. Their non-traditional construct and council makes them closer to the more democratic governance Vinsy envisions for a modern pack. The other US based one has his own hit squad for the undesirables while trying to appear innocent of his bigoted misdeeds. And then, there are the major complications and suspicions for someone trying to bring a European Pack to the more quiet regions of the US; I don’t foresee a short interview uncovering the details, but then again the rollercoaster does have many twist and turns. Keep em coming !

My goodness, I’m way behind in reading and posting comments here…. Lowe’s Lair is only the tip of the of this little conqueror’s influences. He has these Alpa and Vinsy conscripts fortifying his Lair. Then they devised a magical hinny bidet or is that a Brownie Butt Shadow-tizer? Now imagine the toddler running in to the den naked, with guest present, asking for his shadow thingy as he sports his Lion’s Pride. That’s right Lowe, make them hear your roar for fears of …the other way! Mace doesn’t think he’s ready, neither does Vinsy, yet they challenge Lowe’s dad that their Lair shall always be the true and proper home for the King 🦁. Yep, it’s always hard to know what you don’t know! Hahaha 🤪 Poor Vinsy, turned but a month ago, hybrid set free to celebrate that same anniversary. Then challenged by a fake Aplha that is a poor Delta, then challenged by an Alpha that knew no good an required the pup to bite when nature said not, but bite he did and land grant was his. Now the unexpected early show of the Delta that is an Alpha in size and spirit. Though exhausted 😩 already, his challenger did beg, and guests should be treated with courtesy and respect. So a reasonable effort was made, but full commitment was stayed, as the non-shadow folk did teach a new grip; of magic that is, shadow magic has mass and can be used to knock you to your ass….good to know! @astone2292, though the Electric Panda, the now less shy Beta, and the Delta traitor were not part of this post, the Lair and the petitioning pack leadership was worth the intro. I’m a bit surprised that the Wolf and non-Wolf members and views were not directly addressed. But we know the views of one alternative for sure and another with questions unanswered to the Panda… However, there’s still time, and I believe the new pack looks promising, or sister pack, as an alliance may dictate, may be a wonderful twist for those non traditional Vinsy ways. Unfortunately, the visit by Mr Cliff Hanger seems to have interrupted your posting…something about the magnificent seven? Or is it the good, the bad, and the ugly? But which is which?

Whether Mallex, that did immense physical and mental harm to Kalian, direct ant indirect from Talon; or the Soul eater, that likewise did immense mental harm and then through mental transfer from Talon the mental and physical trauma in his very presence. But it is understandable that the innocent Kalian was chosen by the ancient being that could not bring himself to eat the human, to do harm; so to is Kalian limited in is ability to do harm. Kalian refused to chose a teammate for punishment to fed Mallex’s twisted ego; this sheds light on that personality trait and characteristic. Then when Mallex got burned in an absolute height of Kalian’s defense of his teammates, Kalian stopped when Mallex was withdrawing, but luckily Talon was there to “mop up”...well to “step in” for the dirty work that Mallex had so desperately petitioned for. So I think we are witnessing his innate limitations and the influence of his ancient and gifted majiks; perhaps the majik influenced the ancient being too?.... chicken or the egg? @Demiurge, the different POV delivery here is great. After the stresses ripped the team apart, they still fought, at last. But now the reality is...the pieces parts need to be put back together again; and it’s great to see what the new pieces look like before we have the group dynamics looking like multiple dog-walkers trying to separate the leashes around a tree of cats. This is another great chapter, with the characters regrouping, and the knowledge starting to build towards understanding; giving us excitement even in this character and group building chapter.

Ahhhh, but what they don’t understand is...Reinard DOSEN’T SWALLOW! Ready are not, them Cubs are coming. I guess they’ll think he’s eating and gaining weight out of his depression.

Well the dark forces seem to have been working on them all, and possibly longer than they’ve realized; stolen confidences, loss of strategic thinking and memories, and then perhaps the easy access for the majik soul eater is with a majik healer of heart and souls; poor Hanja must feel like acid is eating him from within. Talon and Kalian find their bending and twisting has helped develop a tighter bond physically and with each other’s majik too. Their majiks embracing in partnership for a joint defense was impressive on this first occurrence too; I hope the experience allows them to tap into the wellspring of majiks I believe they have yet to find or tame. @demiurge really? Introducing the Dark Lord Cliffhanger for this Thursday post? Lord Cliffhanger should be constrained from appearing any other than Tuesday with a quick Thursday reprieve for the health and hearts of the audience! 😂 Excellent chapter! hahaha 🤣 I’m not the only one to see it late; delayed observation I guess for me. Hmmm 🤔, just the Band of Misfits itself kinda redefines the past transitioning into the present as to who they are now; it’s interesting to reflect specifically for a moment on each character’s’ introduction and then the migration towards the misfits. So my read was delayed, but that puts us closer to the next post, right @Demiurge? Tuesday/Thursday??? 😝 Just kidding, but I selfishly hope you can post that often. 😃 I hope Wren’s seemingly distracted thoughts are him reviewing is many memories to unlock some hidden nuggets to give Kalian and this BoM a breakthrough into the hidden powers Kalian is yet to understand; including that protection spell! I have to believe that the destinies are intertwined to fulfill a prophesied return of majiks to the masses; perhaps weakening families some and returning trades or skills to the common folks. You bring up an excellent thought to consider of Anders as possibly an ancient himself or whether the more snap conclusion of just his greed and arrogance leads to him releasing a beast he thinks he’ll control. The irony would be a tragicaly hilarious event where Anders has already been consumed by the beast, which he helped free, but that would also help lead the beast to Kalian. Either way, Anders definitely deserves a painful death ☠️, so the beast? Wren?? Or Kalian??? He needs to feel his grip losing against his opponent, and to face his own horror as he faces the opposition that consumes his all powerful ego! Once again @Demiurge, you deliver the ever climbing rollercoaster of suspense, I can’t wait for all the fast twists and turns as the dominoes of evil topple and the powers of past are brought to justice and a balanced system requiring earned respect; the White Lord delivers Light! Hahaha 😝 My fantasy wish for good over evil. Thanks again for sharing your this exciting adventure of majik and mystery.

Wow, we get every flavor or color of flame with these emotions in just this one chapter; the blushes, the anger, the jealousy, the frustration and most importantly, the…handsy hickey…and don’t you dare say you fell down! lol Liam settling down finally allows Sascha to enjoy a little Halloween candy too. Perhaps mom had the obvious hint as to their favorite candy as she found that 3-Musketeers bar at the scene; so mom, that mark is just from the 3-Musketeers they were all enjoying for Halloween 🎃! Can they avoid the belly aches and post-sugar let downs? Or will they dive right back in to built better tolerances for those nasty addictions?

I love it! But I believe I would put this as an interlude embedded within the main story. It leaves the personal story still undisclosed and somewhat less than fully tangible. So until the subject is addressed within the main story, it neither adds or detracts at this time; but it does explain a development possibility that could contribute at a later time.

Following the burnt Birdie served by chef Ty... I mean Clan Alpha Ty, the jealousy and protectiveness over Kaplan by one supercharged Electric Panda, brings the Peter Gabriel song of jealousy to mind...SHOCK THE MONKEY 🐒.

It kinda plays into the pun of slang talk to get freaky when feeling freaky. Hmmm, the ancient dead languages, with sketchy explanations of just why they are dead, a correlating ancient majik eating dark force, born at times of dark spells possibly going wickedly wrong if not strong enough to control... Could this be an ancient spell gone bad in the age of spell casting? And not understood before it consumed those strong enough to challenge? This lends credit too the dead languages’ decline by either consumption and/or the fear of that consuming force. Wren is not without some shared blame for not warning the group of this adversary, and Kalian’s lack of preparedness, but perhaps Wren was also in denial and then frustrated in himself as much as Talon and Kalian. After all, who would dare unlock such an all consuming dark force other than an arrogant prick that believes himself to be the first in ages to be strong enough to control it. For all we know, this ominous for could have already consumed Anders. Haha 😛 I believe some of these past observations Wren had of Kalian is connected to the long avoided topic of the unknown and all powerful dark force. But hey, as Scarlet said, I don’t want to worry about that today, I’ll worry about it tomorrow...then perhaps she said Rhett, let’s get freaky! 🤪 @Demiurge, all joking aside the suspense and mystery continues to mount. I absolutely love this story and perhaps we, as much as the characters, needed that freaky little break from the boogie man.

Well the big bad Wolf snarled at the notion of a simple hot dog but then was baited to try Lowe’s little brown steak veggies; was Vinsy training Lowe or Mace? 🤪 The joy of the kid experience is how the parents think they have the kids psychology down , but one weekend with alpa and Vinsy and they have to learn the new terms and favorites. Vinsy poofs, I like strong…I want little brown steaks, let’s make Liars…Lairs, and Chot Lat Poofed Cream…Hmmm….kids are an educational experience; Vinsy is raising his just fine; even if resorting to enhanced bribery by Vin’s Shady Delivery Service. It’s pretty neat when the current residents get to pick who is buying into their neighborhood, cay cay may be intimidated by the delta but it seems to be more respectful intimidation than fearful; his partner definitely seems thrilled. Thrilled is not the best explanation for how the bushwhacking of the NY Delta feels but he bought unto his own setup and now may yet earn some forgiveness if he can help with…is it THE or DE construction of Snyder. Round and round the money goes, but Cyrus has a Beta that reads the flows. With the arrogance of Synder the investigation should flesh out quickly…but then again, has it metastasized?

Oh my. Those that dapple in the dark majiks, to manipulate the balance of majiks themselves, may have opened Pandora’s box itself. The light exists in balance of the dark, but the ebbs and flows may get our own little Prince Sunshine to shoot off some solar flares without even trying. It seems the ancient powers are at play and the knowledge Wren holds close may be about to reveal itself; now the question of is it totally scary or just predictably unforgiving? Kalian definitely needs a breakthrough moment of understanding of his gifts and it seems the knowledge of the dead languages and spell casting may yet be seeded at the will of great powers when manifested; be them good or bad, the dreams are possibly hidden secrets Kalian seeks without knowing. @demiurge, you keep delivering suspense at ever increasing levels; oils this be from your own insights from the allergic reactions? 😝 I hope that is all managed and you can look back and laugh at another memorable vacation! Yes, sides are delicious when complimentary to the entree; please, serve them liberally if you’ve got them!

Hmmm 🤔 the son was missing so the rich father traveled ahead to be there. But then when the son is back, the father has been largely missing. What. Oils he be up to and what’s the story of the long lost brother? A man with money can surely have an investigation completed to find answers...are was that the simple cover story for a more complicated situation. Ramon gets a grand announcement delivered with a kiss; lucky for Marcos that Ramon was happy to receive that surprise in the lobby of the hotel, at his job! The old job and earning his way by himself has new challenges as the connections with the boss’ boss will bring questions and doubts whether needed or wanted.

Saying farewell to those people that help us learn responsibility, confidence, and that family extents beyond blood, is always emotional; then we realize it will remain with us and most likely will still be called home. This is a powerful look at the human psyche; that which is flawed with anger and denial, that which is burdened with guilt that is truly owned by others, and then the ones that serve as reality anchors for others to seek normalcy. This story gives us all; blood families broken beyond repair or even lost in human failure. Yet, we find Security with others and then trust and support building into the relationships that the blood family should have had. Yes, a happy tale that stops the sad tragedies from overtaking the innocents. So we leave it happy that our favorites survived those tragedies and found happiness. @headtransplant, you did it; a love sick gay tragedy, full of drama, with growing support that delivers a happy ending; congratulations.

It’s great to see the return of this amazing world of Shay, Mira, Konstantin and allies. It’s disappointing to not see the appearance of my favorite characters but the build up to that moment was not lacking. The summary narration by the ancients themselves is a great intro to battlefield earth. The exact timing of the final battle remains elusive but the introduction of the bowl blast by Kerensky shows great promise for the earth forces and human defenses; a strategy that would have been voided by any of the greedy actions to strip Shay of his hidden powers and act as a brute force against a collective alien intellect. A fantastic return for the Aspects of Dawn series!

Nothing creates a craving for pure animalistic Sex like an au naturel run through the neighborhood, with a little delay to try the local cuisine of white hare tartare, then returning to hormone laced, salty Wolf. It’s a rare and limited plate offering of Hot Alpha Dogs; New York has nothing on these Kentucky favorites. However New York does seem to be getting ready to serve up some dogs themselves, however, the menu appears to be leftovers that still need I little more thought for the perfect seasoning to top off the stale old offerings; perhaps a family plate called The Dog Pound. Ironic that the sous chef for this New York offering is free of the Bear Trap nearly set, and is now exploring his own ways to the best serve up a showcase offering of Wicked Wolf Dogs. These wicked dogs are offering themselves for a Dramatic Recognition Program that’s bound to leave the Electric Panda Giggling 🤭 next to the rumored sexually abused Beta. @astone2292, an excellent chapter to position the chess pieces ♟; hmmm, is that two kings on your setup? 😝

WHAT? How could you believe we’d have anything short of eager anticipation? 😝 OMG, the suspense is already at an apex and now the nemesis is completely unknown by Kalian; or is it something he’s seen in the ancient books now removed from their purview? Or perhaps 🤔 a more direct connection to say...Talon’s sister Lydia; long lost but yet unknown to Talon within the kingdom. As Talon probably tainted his native magiks, but enhanced his shadow magik. Many questions indeed, so... Is this nemesis part of the Kingdom they’re in, or part of the expanding grasp and long arm of Anders? The lack of home kingdom intel is a huge void and a surprising exposure for this group; but having traitors among you before makes it hard to reach out or to trust anyone. Unfortunately, I believe the lack of intel has caught up with them. Now this power Mage has taken some powerful strikes from Kalian and just twenty warriors is not so good should that Mage be exhausting her powers also. Either way, it appears the avoidance and wait are over, the team will now have purpose and focus to overcome this latest challenge. Then the real war begins. Yes @Demiurge, we still want more and don’t doubt that you and the band of misfits do have fans! lol

Mitchell definitely needs some help, plus some sense of social life and community. However, ironically the motivator that finally pushed him to act on finding help is a tortured soul that needs an extended helping hand and a safe environment; what he got from his grandparents when immediate family shunned him. Myles cannot help but find peace where the employer is supportive and is sure to allow his friend to have access as long as the reasonable job expectations are met. As these young men grow in security and social circles, it will be exciting to see where all the relations take us on this CoF journey.
