Long have the undisturbed ASSUMED they had no threats, now there is still resistance to have duplicity, reserves, and hardening of critical and basic civilian infrastructure. Too many single point of failure items have been allowed to exists as the reserves or excess of yesteryear have been trimmed to absolute minimum, just in time, delivery schedules. Everyone wants our society to be subjugated to AI, yet beyond bad actors even within those network systems and architecture, an electrical outage can cause chain reactions or time outs as the servers being queried or absent from the party. Without those next gen AI, many businesses including retail will be unable to conduct business. I guess the gas station clerk doesn’t really have to worry that their register does work as the pipelines won’t be delivering gas for long anyway.

Sorry guys, rant complete, but I served 20 years in the military. I expected honesty and I gave it like it was. Use the legal channels or address the terrorist, but don’t break the trust of innocents.

I love the story and I’m not dissuaded by this latest chapter, but I’m not sold that for Brian’s part that he should ever be subjected to such manipulation; good cop, bad cop…or trying to be good cop and the bad cop. It’s extortion and blackmail for crimes unknown to him and it just doesn’t fit what I’d expect from an organization to corruptedly press a minor into confession, service, or even drum up charges against his family to do so. His vision of trusting his own government would be forever tainted. As an 18yo I was blatantly issued a ticket for speeding for which I wasn’t doing. I had tickets in the past but this one was blatantly wrong. I went to court in the next county to challenge it, the officer didn’t show but the judge didn’t dismiss it, he continued it. So again I had to go back while missing another day of my work and college schedule. The following court date was again a no show until the judge said he would give the officer 15 more minutes. The officer, the first black state trooper in the state finally showed with only a. Opulent of minutes to spare. The impartial judge near tumbled from the bench h to shake his hand and meet his acquaintance. The officer then gave a story that put me going west vs east, at a mile marker miles from my ticket location, with other misrepresentations involved. The judge listened to my rebuttal of facts as even the ticket showed in record. Yet, he looked at the officer then at me…and pronounced guilty. At my age I was absolutely shocked. I went home extremely pissed and with a total loss of trust in the police and the system. I near immediately bought a new gadget that was showing promise. It was an early version of the new radar detectors. I actually drove above speed limits more frequently and less concern of just how much…it was what I felt reasonable and safe, damn the police and court as they had shown I would get a ticket whether guilty or not; so it was me against the corrupt. Two years later I was held up at gun point at my convenience store job. I had locked the door and when the cops showed up I refused them entry until the fingerprint specialist outdoor be briefed through the window…even then refusing entry to any others until they finished and cleared them. Anyone caught on foot in the area was loaded in patrol cars and bought to stand in the parking lot for me to identify…the perps were not there, but what it they had been. They would have been given free access to reenforce their recall of me. It certainly didn’t protect me. I did go to their offices to spend hours going thru books of mugshots…yes, before the common desktops and internet. I spent the time going thru confiscated firearms trying to identify the actual weapons used or at least one like it to refine the report. I stayed active to push the detectives to find those perps. They did work with me, but otherwise I don’t have confidence that they would have. Three months later the perps were nailed by…their fingerprints I had preserved and insisted on and with the mugshots I had finally found that matched theirs when the two county agencies collaborated. Mostly again, because I pushed the system to work honestly and diligently. Yet to this day, I despise radar traps and the way police give out tickets for speeding at angles of which it could be one of three vehicles, yet they act as if it’s absolute. They hardly enforce other rules of the road, blinkers, loud mufflers, improper headlights adjustments and/or use of fog/hunting light in conjunction with headlights (yes, illegal in many states) but speeding is priority one. So here at Christmas many houses will be luted in the same neighborhoods and cars at shopping centers broken into, but rest assured that you’ll probably pass a radar trap or possibly get a ticket on the way to your broken into home; all in this holiday season as that’s their only focus…speeding, it contributes to the Christmas/New Years parties. 🤦‍♂️ Police can be great, but it takes honesty and leadership. So for nearly 50 years since that fateful day, I will speed, I will alert opposite traffic of a trap, not because I’m encouraging it, but because some like me may get a ticket that not even their own. Patrol the roads guys, clock the idiots doing things illegal on your dash cam or speeding right in front of you…there’s plenty of idiots volunteers doing dangerous stuff, but stop sitting there in known trap areas just collecting a tax payer paycheck expecting those dangerous drivers to come to you.

The interaction remains the same, Brian is being blackmailed and it’s being done with extreme, cameras off, prejudice against a minor without supervision or counsel. That’s war and not what this situation justifies. Brian being extorted or pressed into service involuntarily is wrong. To level with him, show him the track record of charges and activities, allow him to decide his destiny or cooperation.

Personally I’d like to know more clearly about the charges against el coyote, for this event it’s almost as if they where agents of a whistleblower, or whistleblowers now holding proof of international terrorism and market manipulation…many high crimes they just averted. Did they get rich, perhaps no more than the lawyers that would have seemed damages on behalf of world governments, businesses, and farmers, all to see a significant cut go to those sharks; all while Alex and Brian put their lives out there even with the knowledge of the RCMP and perhaps CSIS. So whistleblower status may be appropriate if they want to know the full extent of the truth and the costs already borne by those that pained the ultimate price of this secret program.

I agree totally, hopefully it’s a ruse to test Brian more than the first glance blackmail.

I’m hopeful that part of this is in itself an interview.

AI is no more than programming and algorithms that are designed with objectives. It’s one hell of a sales job to convince us that it’s trustworthy and above human biases….yeah, if no embraced you get degraded services to force or herd you towards submission. IE, try asking SIRI for directions to a nearby restaurant, gas station, etc, without faceID and precise location enabled. I don’t know where you are…so the old iPhone 6 worked fine but the iPhone 16 is stupid unless you obed. Yet you voice or type the same search into the maps apps and voila dozen of restaurants near where the lost phone couldn’t tell me with AI. Automated Idiocy by design…submit to big tech selling your life and identity.

I was hoping that while skinner was away from Brian to attack OSI that the assessment would allow Brian to be quick dragged to the safety of the house…but alas, hope died with OSI.

I had my most recent FedEx package left at a neighborhood house; with the picture and gps leading me 587 feet down the road. Nothing time it was as if they place the package just off the sidewalk some 170’ from the house or any structure on the property…a drive by delivery? Or an airdrop maybe??

Too bad the snowmobile drivers didn’t do the funky chicken and donate their rides to the boys.

I grew up with a 1970 Chevy 454 large head engine and the 400 turbo hydraulic transmission; it was not to be floored unless wanting to burn rubber or risk fishtailing if less than 70 when stomped. It would bury the speedometer in nothing flat. One policeman stopped me speeding rather badly; spent time talking to me about my salvage and what I had, then told me to slow my young butt down; I was newly 17yo.
