There very few new things in my apartment, all my furniture is second hand (well except for one or two things anyway), most my books... at least half of my dishes, an 8th of my movies, the only things i really haven't bought used are my clothes... but then a boy has to be fashionable doesn't he perhaps if i found clothing I "liked" second hand i'd buy it... i just haven't found any.... well there is something you shouldn't buy second hand... underwear

you realize of course to number 2, our parents generation said that about ours.... and I am SURE being the hippy generation theirs definately said it about them.

coffee pots.... furniture, although you have to be careful about that....

my town bought "abandoned buildings" from the previous owners (for taxes etc) Fixed them up and sold them to someone else... now one such building (a Mainstreet building) how has three new businesses in it.. and it started out having a hole in the roof big enough to need a a plastic swimming pool on the bottom floor to keep the leaking water (it's two stories tall ) another one they bought and have been fixing up, it's at least 3 stories tall and is an old historic hotel.... Mind you i don't agree with the Means that they did these buy outs... however i do enjoy the sight of the results of at least one of them... (i haven't been in these new businesses, but that's because ones a mesuise, and the other is a small clinic for a discraced doctor who was nearly forced out of the main clinic in town... (i wish he had been i dislike him... the old pill pushing gerk) (i think there is a third one but i don't remember what it is...). as for the other building, i don't know what's going to end up moving in there, i do know however that they had to tear out a LOT of aspestus, and they wanted to keep as much of the historic interior as possible.

That's not good news that makes me want to cry the whole thing makes me want to cry

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/5-things-always-buy-used-134500411.html I don't know about anyone else, but i've been known to buy used movies and used books. books wise i usually buy from Powell's Online store, or the used book sales that the county library puts on twice a month, and i don't think i've ever been burned. As for movies we don't really have much of a place to buy them... you can get some at the Convenience store here but that's it (they used to sell used vids at a grocery store that is now closed) them i have been burned, all i have to say is keep your reciept because if the thing is scratched and doesn't work you can take it back, you can't otherwise and people have been known to sell used movies here just because it's scratched and doesn't work... not very nice... Anything to add to the list? any stories on things you've bought used?

XP was already obsolete, it was obsolete emedietly after windows Vista or 7 came out, we'll say 7 since it came out after Vista... this is not to say that the new systems are better, just that the older system became obsolete when the newer ones came out. after all reciprocating engines became obsolete after the Turbine, and Steam after Deisel...

I have heard that the natural world has taken over Chernobyl. There actually quite a few towns that have disapeared in the last 200 years much less in human history.... Montana has so many that there have been books published on the Ghost Towns of Montana... There are at least 2 in Namibia (Kolmanskop, Elizabeth Bay), and the tv series "life after people" actually talks about quite a few abandoned sites around the U.S. and the world. These things always makes me want to rebuild and restore them to their former glory...

you're pretty much useless for anything but manuel labor WHEN you've graduated Highschool, (I would know i can't get a "decent" job and I did graduate from highschool)so there really isn't much difference in getting a job... the difference would only be I graduated from highschool, i can now go to college, where as you might not be able to with an 8th grade eduation.... My grandmother only had an 8th grade education.... she also owned at least two businesses.... her mother didn't go to college until she was in around her 50s.

and what is the difference between primary and secondary school? And if it's elementary, and highschools... Why make a marked difference?

hmm interesting I like it, That being said the only reall major problem is that you're stuck on very long detailed explainations. It takes away from the story, and slows it down. You should piece it out through your chapters... a casual reference here or there... remember your character has to deal with his past throughout the entire story not just the first chapter, therefor the long explainations aren't needed. btw for all that big explaination of Jayden not showing himself... the reader never saw his face even when you reveal it, i would almost expect it to be shocking or something the way you kept pointing out it was being hidden from the readers/main characters point of view.... also what was the main boy's hair look like, i either missed it or you didn't put it in It's a good premise over all and I want to read more WRITE MOARE!
