here is the question then, if the opposing was true, would it be any more ethical... it is like saying if you had the power to control one's mind would you do it, and would it be ethical to do so... or as the case may be if you could use mass media to cause a minority group to seperate from their country should you, and is it ethical... the answer really is no to all of these, it isn't ethical and you shouldn't do it... however it doesn't mean that if one had the power to do these things they would not do it, and in some cases, just because they could.... power makes people do things that they "shouldn't do..." Fear makes people do things they "shouldn't do"... heck Love makes people do things they "shouldn't do"... really it would depend on someone's morals and what the exceptions to those morals are whether it's something they would do in a given situation or not... and really there are times Personal Morals be damned they'll do it anyway because they think they HAVE to. Really Human morality is a very fluid thing and varies quite a bit from culture to culture and time period to time period.... Personal morality similarly is very fluid and varies from instance to instance because humans are thinking beings, and nothing is truly set in stone.... after all a person says he'll never hurt an animal would change their mind very quickly if they were starving.... The world isn't black and white and to beleave it is, is a childs perspective... Which is one reason laws have variety to them... Someone might say they will never do something, but you better pray that you would never be put into the position where you were forced to choose whether or not to do it.... especially if not to do it meant death.

sorry when i saw the title of this thread, my next thoughts were.... "it's a suppository" .... I watched too much Futurama when i was younger....

my grandma had one of those as a toy when i was a kid..... I broke her vase with it my great Grandmother actually had one she still used (same timeperiod) in fact i think it was still in her house when she died hooked up to the line... and Yes I know how to use one

as i recall it's been worse, in the 1800s for instance, Boston harbor froze over frequently and all winter long... The picture of Washingtons Crossing of the Patomic with ice all around is about correct as well to the time period

Oh noes!! Meat doesn't come from animals it comes from the meat fairy who brings you nice wrapped steaks, surlions and assorted other meaty goodies oh i am sure the children were NOT upset at all, However their emotionally destraught parents WERE... they wouldn't be so upset of their children seeing it if they had to go out and kill then butcher the meat themselves. On the note of the picture in the article: actually from what i've seen America actually doesn't have a wide variety of meat products compaired to other countries sitting on the shelves in the meat department at the local store... all i've seen are turkey, beef, Chicken, pork, and some fish/Crustecians...oh and processed meat, must not forget processed meat... if you want variety here you have to hunt it down yourself.... no local little butcher shop to give you pheasant, or venison...

shoot the teenager in da head... my answer to the topic without you explaining it joke btw.... all in all, however Teenagers are, the legality is exposing underage kids to porn (including anime/cartoon versions) is actually a crime, even for under aged kids... ie teenagers. if they are caught by authorities viewing it they can have some problems... such as being sent to juvie among other things... be that as it may teenagers are more than likely going to find it in an environment with internet...and the younger the teenager is, usually the more loopy they are hormonally, i'd in my moderate (although not humble) opinion block the site indefinately, but probably ignore him looking at this stuff when he's around 15 or so, other things are more important... like drugs, and worrying about things like sexual preditors... etc.

Oh i don't have a body image, ie I know I am overweight, and I know all the guys i like are skinner than me, and even than i would possibly be..... because I don't especially like overly muscled guys for one, which is what i'd become if i did enough exercise to loose the amount of weight i've gained truth be told, i doubt i'd be happy with my body skinny fat, uber buff, toned, or as a flower... because I don't like myself in general therefor it wouldn't matter what i looked like i wouldn't like being me.... mind you though, there are moments.... very breifly... that i looked at myself in the mirror and though, "i look cute.." but then i take a second look.

actually i don't know that that picture is of that long ago, i think i've seen pictures of when my dad was in highschool and they were in black and white and had similar clothing (and he would be less than 10 years older than you Benji... just so you know.) as for obesisity and such in america or Canada, the northern climate may have a little to do with Canada's problems there. Why i say this is Montana is a state with very few fast food Joints being as it has very few big cities (big by our standards is considered a normal town in other states... but are still cities by the standards of people pre 1800s). And yet this state has a very HIGH obsessity rate... also has a high suicide rate from what the radeo makes it sound. (which is something i actually never see or hear about, suicides in Montana or even people young enough to have died very few other ways being in the obituary pages)

Depends.... if Rowling is using the horrible popularity of her potter series to push through other books.... after all anything connected to potter will sell like hot cakes.... and no Rowling should have never started writing in the first place,.... but i only say that because she turns Harry into a little Prat, kills off the characters i like, and destroys artifacts....and i couldn't read the last book, after what she did to dumpy drawers....i couldn't stand to touch another book *sobs*
