  1. Yeah i thought the Queen Elizabeth 2 was still in service...if barely, It's too bad they destroyed the Norway...You sure there are no other ocean liners still in service floating around as cruise ships. I know there were quite a few still floating around in the early 2000's and late 90s. To hh5's statement in the movie she was discribed at 17 or something i thought (recently re-watched the movie) and the bearded guy as going off of Rose De Whatever dieing on the Titanic at age 17 or so which would make her in the 90's (when movie takes place not just came out) over 100 years old.... So she's a really old god damn Lier XD
  2. I'd say blah...i dont' like any of them in the context of how you wrote it, Cinder and Flint are the two that seem to fit best to me in context with the wording but not quite as a name...
  3. Sad I liked her books... I read the Rohan Series, and some of the pern books, I think my favorite characters where the Harpers especially the boy... too bad....but she had a long run. May she live on in legend and her stories....
  4. People have a history of burning people of a minority, especially in areas where people are more radical and close minded....
  5. Unfortunately I can not vote in that, since besides Jolly old Saint Nick I don't know any of these people by name...
  6. Just so everyone who doesn't know, does there were members of the Nazi party whom were gay, in fact there were several, and there were many gays whom were killed by the Nazis in concentration camps. So our history like everyone elses was not always good, sadly...
  7. yer not the only one who'd like to "sink into Jack" Jamessavik, Leo was a hotty, especally in that story... it's quite possible that Rose had Jacks baby but then who knows she and the movie never say... in fact all those pictures of her make her look NOT pregnant after Titanic... >_< as in she never had a kid... and we know she did, as her granddaughter was with her. BUT she had plenty of time she was only 16 or so when the ship sank... and over 100 when she sank the Heart of the Ocean....
  8. *bows* happy birthday Tim. *gets you a bunch of gay hotties* XD
  9. I usually can not actually write when I am down....except poetry, and i tend to write semi-dark to heavily dark at least for me, poetry when i get down. But i usually can't think strait enough to write stories when i am down. I do tend to drown myself into video games however
  10. good Mark, Aximili I am glad you found Our discussions insightful
  11. *smiles*
  12. I would love to have a replica, actually.
  13. I am actually thinking of continuing on the general theme of my latest Dark Poem, https://www.gayauthors.org/story/Celethiel/midnightcommeth/1 Which is of a loved one dieing and the lover mourning the loss, possibly to the point of suicide. It isn't exactly the topic that the poem came from, but it is the theme i actually went for in it. So i am wondering fi others think i should continue on such a theme....?
  14. Found it to be interesting, you should continue with the idea...

    The Shadow

Interesting Poem Billy...very interesting imagery, though it almost seems like a story written into a poem-ish format. Remember: When people read poems or at least in my experience, they tend to feel them before they actually see the story behind the poem, I tend to see things in like a movie real in my head so that's why i can see a story in pretty much everything i read, even before the emotion. sorrry if i came off as overly critical... liked it
  16. I found it to be sad but interesting

    Chapter 1

I find it to be sad.... and kind of depressing.
  18. That doesn't just please me, it amuses me to no end
  19. Neither am I Mark, and I may be a little over 10 years older then you, but that does not give me the corner on wisdom. Believe me Age does not make one wise, it can however make someone stuck in their ways. The whole "cant teach an old dog new tricks" is a true statement.... Anyway all you can do is ask, because if you do not ask you will never gain anything from it a yes or a no answer is both a learning experience, where as saying nothing is also a learning experience but not the same kind of one, rather the kind that say's You should have asked or said something. *frowns* why has my age not changed, I am 30 as of September...not twenty-nine... I am only experienced in my own problems and many of us are, it is our own life experience that makes us who we are, and gives us what we know. It is not the length of the trip but the journey that makes us wise.
  20. My answer to what i think about your poems is: interesting....
  21. *tries to figure out what the mandate is now for ships instead of real wood* plastic wood which burns faster and more disasterously ...? The problem with having boats lower on the ship, it makes the ship less sea worthy, i have seen modern Ocean liners and have thought repeadtly 1 tsunami would take them down, they're top heavy clunkers... which is something i can not see a tsunami doing to ships even as late as the QE2. Another problem is lower to the water, faster it'll be underwater in the case of say a Andrea Doria Senario, and still leaving the top ones unable to move off the ship... cool tribute though
  22. I have fought the dark, It's tendrils wrapping around me, It is my friends who ignited my spark So that I may once more dance beneath the Silvery Tree sorry that popped into my head, Actually my friends not my family and not doctors, that finally allowed me to successfully fight my depression, their support, and their basic friendship That includes Tiger btw..... Having a pet helps a bit as well... you are not alone, though it feels like it once in a while, especially when you enter depression. Btw Mark92 you should make a panel... No Tiger they don't do that, they however can cause terrible mood swings, and Manic episodes though (which means among other things Bouncing around the house like a mad man yelling at your boyfriend suddenly for the littlest things(and yes i am on a weak Paxil dose and it caused it)) which will cause your doctor to put you on a mood stabilizer (which are anti-psychodics), people whom are on Paxil (anti-depressant) have been known to go into a sudden swing into deep depression and commit suicide. Not to mention weight gain, which is caused by both anti-depressants and mood-stablizers.... drugs are a band-aid, a quick fix, if long lasting fix, not a true fix. And doctors don't totally know how they'll interact with other drugs you might be taking after all how many thousands of drugs are there...lol Sorry that last part came off condiscending... I didn't mean for it to...
  23. I seem to remember reading an article in like an old magazine about 3 or more years back that a south african cruiseline was gonna make a replica of the Titanic....
  24. as likely as not there is a book on it, i tend to think there's a book on almost every subject....
  25. To Sorgbarn, her books sound like they were very interesting to read, but you must remember Lord of the Rings while epic is actually a hard series to read, in high school i was not able to get through the series. I liked the Hobbit a lot more then the trilogy, and Tolkien went over the deepend of writing when he wrote the follow up to the Trilogy, the Silmarillian was almost impossible to read and keep strait at times, speaking of which it amuses me that Ian McKellen is gay.
