    Whence You Came

Well, I'm intrigued. I like the way you write. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised at hearing that rural Alabama is so accepting. You would think it would be the opposite. I will say one thing though: Eight years old?? lol Wow, that is pretty young to be thinking of stuff like that and re-enacting scenes from movies, putting your thoughts into practice (did that make sense?). I look forward to reading more, bd.

    Things Are Different

Hey pm! I haven't read this chapter yet b/c I read it on Nifty (I told you that when you started posting it here), and I read whatever chapters you posted here previously. My question is: will there be many changes to the original chapters? I just wanted to find out b/c if not, I'll just pick up where I left off the last time.
  3. Heroin is such a problem everywhere. It's rampant in schools and workplaces... One of my best friends is going through a really tough time with her nineteen-year-old. He's been addicted to heroin for almost a year. She's so worried he's going to OD one day. He's on a program where he takes methadone but the dosage isn't high enough to stop his cravings and he's still using. He can't take a high dosage b/c it makes him too sleepy and he almost fell asleep at the wheel once already. Addictions are so hard to kick. I'm so sorry this happened to your friend.
  4. That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. I think if you had it proofed and sent it to his family (not sure how to do that), they would be touched knowing how much Robin Williams affected you. I think it will make them happy knowing that there's at least one person out there who has been touched so much by him. Idk...it was a thought. What you wrote was so heartfelt and emotional and I think they would appreciate reading it. Just my thought...

    Chapter 2

I was just going to tell you how funny you are with the OCD statement and some more, but then I read what he did to you. That was so shitty of him. He lied to you and he lied to whoever he was with. What an ass. Talk about asses - he was the epitome of assness. I'm sorry. Well, I still want to tell you how funny you are: 'I don't know how to write sex scenes; I barely know how to have sex.' I was lol'ing to that one. There was one section that lacked the continuity of what happened later. When you guys were at the diner and you blurted out that you don't have any condoms, he told you to run across the street to the 7-11 (can't believe you guys have those where you are! lol), to get them while he pays the bill. But then in his bedroom, you ask him where the condoms are and he tells you in the drawer. So...what was the point of him sending you to the 7-11 then?

    Chapter 1

I know you're just venting and writing about your experiences, and you probably don't mean to be funny, but you really are funny. The whole thing with the twelve-year-old girl was very funny and the assness (was that the right word?), bosses had me cracking up. I also think you guys had a pretty meaningful conversation regarding stereotypes and how people just assume a gender when talking about professions. Ok, on to chapter two. =)
  7. I agree with Irri; Calle is very smart and she's honest with Kieran, not telling him just what he wants to hear. I think Kieran should have explained to her why exactly Robin hates him. He should tell her how Robin has told him to fuck off and stay out of his life. It's going to be very difficult trying to call him or contact him when Robin is so adamant about hating Kieran. Unless of course he doesn't really hate him. The kids are adorable! I especially loved the part with Dennis: '...And he was ten. Even he wasn't kissing boys at ten.' lol That was pretty funny! And then Dennis goes, "...grownup enough to b with him..." They're only ten!!!!! Omg, be a kid first. lol Now I have to check on DC b/c I may have missed a chapter...
  8. I heard on the radio this morning that he has three or four films that are coming out this year and/or next year. I was listening to The Highway on XM and they were talking about how Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, and guest star Will Arnett found out about it during Conan's show. One of them knew Robin and said that he was so funny and always making jokes but on the inside he was crying and no one ever knew. That's so sad. And of course that just proves what an amazing actor he was, to be able to pull that off w/o anyone knowing how he really felt. He will be missed.
  9. They say he had been recently battling severe depression and had suffered from depression in the past. So, so sad. He was such a great talent. He was very good in his dramatic roles but it was his comedy roles that just were so, so funny. You could tell he just loved to make people laugh. He will be missed. RIP, Robin.
  10. What did Tim do while he was driving that got the cops' attention? What would the felony charge be? If he was sober and not high on anything would it still be a felony? And what was he charged with? Reckless driving, endangering others? And now seeing what could happen to Tim (going to jail, losing his teaching license), definitely puts things in perspective. And what happened to Steve, if you don't mind my asking.
  11. What a cliffie, Andy!!! Who screamed? That tool Carl, hopefully! What an ass. I'm so glad Max and his dad asked Josh to join them; Josh would have been so alone and feeling left out. Why didn't his parents tell him about this and take him with them? Some family unit. He didn't even get to see his Aunt. Can't wait for the next chapter, Andy!

    Thursday

Another great chapter! I'm so impressed with Uncle Tommy; he spends so much money helping others less fortunate than him. Oh, I noticed when he introduced himself to his neighbors he said his name was Tommy Personal Name. Is that like an Indian name or tribal name? Looking forward to the next installment.
  13. Omg, Dmitri! Who would have known??? Seriously though, this is not going to be good for Dmitri or Gunni. Can I tell you how much I HATE the person who gave birth to Eiri? Hate is a very strong word and she deserves all the hate I have. lol What a bitch! How can he take that shit she spews all the time? Enough already. But yet Eiri caters to her every command. I do feel badly for Gunni though. Not only b/c of Dmitri's past which he didn't know anything about, but b/c he's afraid he'll always feel asexual (is that the right term?). I think he needs to meet a nice boy his own age, befriend him, and maybe he'll develop a crush on him. Hopefully the kid won't be straight. Great chapter, James!

    Chapter Two

Awww, Nick is so cute. Ha, what a smooth talker - his friends aren't texting him back, lol. Looking forward to the next chapter. Hopefully this review will go through.

    Chapter One

I feel like I'm in The Twilight Zone. I read this chapter yesterday, hit the 'like' button, and reviewed. Today I received a notification that you responded to my review (thank you btw), but when I clicked on the story from my notification list, only Scotty's review showed up. Mine is nowhere to be seen. And when I went into the chapter I had to hit the 'like' button again b/c no one's name was showing up as liking the chapter. On the main page of the story it does indicate there are three reviews, but again, when I clicked on it, only Scotty's shows up. So I really don't know what's going on. I'm going to read the second chapter and review that, and I'll see what happens. Very, very weird...
  16. I ditto LBO... I am so sorry for your loss, Method. You have to keep us updated on what happens with Tim. Maybe his acting a bit crazy on the road was just him blowing off steam or just trying to deal with what was going on the next day.
  17. H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y C A R L !!! I hope you're having a terrific b-day!
  18. Loved how you had this prompt right before "The Truck" prompt. Ty really wasn't good for Roy and at least he admitted as much to Roy in his goodbye letter. It seemed as if Ty as just using Roy for a place to stay. He said his band was doing great so now he doesn't need Roy anymore. Ouch. Can't wait to read more, Cole!

    Signs

Loved the first chapter, Cole. I give Chad a lot of credit - he's so brave starting all over in a new town where he knows no one. Well, now he knows Madeleine and Redhead Guy. Now I have to go read your other prompt.
  20. I don't usually read prompts (don't know why, actually), but you had the link to this prompt in your new story, so I read it. I'm glad I did b/c now I have a better understanding of Chad and Justin. Justin is wonderful; he's so supportive and understanding. He joined the Girl Scouts of America, err, the Gay-Straight Alliance, just to help himself help his dad. That's special. I did find that GSA line hysterical, btw. Ok, on to your new story.

    Wednesday

Good first chapter. I had to laugh when Ben didn't want his uncle to do so much driving. Isn't it only an hour round trip? lol Ben certainly had an awesome b-day. So he's allowed to get his license at sixteen? Did he take driver's ed? Looking forward to the next chapter.

    School's Out

I like this new story! Can't wait to see how it all unfolds. On to chapter one.

    Rip: Trebs

If you want to read more about what a great man Robert was, the California Democratic Party released a very nice press release about him. Along with those of you on here that knew him well, the announcement by the CADEM made me wish I knew him better. http://www.cadem.org/news/press?id=0200 Thanks goes out to Westie for supplying his last name. And a memorial on GA sounds like a great idea. Maybe something like the candle that always burns for Codey.

    Rip: Trebs

I'll always remember Trebs by that beautiful picture he had with his big dog laying on top of him. It always made me smile. Trebs knew everything about the site and he was always there to answer my stupid questions. I am so sorry this happened. My heart goes out to his family and friends, including all his GA friends who knew him so well. Rest in Peace, Trebs.
