@Topher Lydon There are times when I cannot bear to read further. The mesmeric capacity of your writing draws me back time and again. I do not want to know what is going to happen, but I read onwards anyway. Well! Onwards to Carter's Line!

I am finding that the story is mesmeric, in that I feel for all involved, but not wanting to read about more heartache and anguish. Stuffed if I know!!!

Kellerman has made his stand. He will not come to aid Marcus. Marcus, believing Merrick has abandoned him; as he will; will shit in his own nest and crucify himself. Will, Jarred, and Andrew will have one hell of a fight on their hands. Will more than most. We know right will prosper, but how the author brings this about will be far more convoluted and devious for me to conjecture.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you may well be correct. Time, and the author will reveal all. But the wait is killing me!
