Well.....I have been putting this off for a while, now. I am afraid I have been "put off" by River's response (or lack off) to Silver. Like you predicted, Nephy. It appears his spine has turned to jelly. He has a lot of redeeming to do. Let's see what's next. I am not optimistic.
Well, I wanted to soak up some more of this fine creation before I added my two cents, but I can't wait any longer. When I read that others were "falling in love" with this story, I thought that was stretching things too far. HAH.
The lovebug has bitten me, too. Nephy (If I may be so familiar), this is the second story of yours I have read (Dangerous Liaisons was the first--loved it) and it is in such a league of its own it is frightening. I have to pace myself and not inhale it all at once. Let's see what you have in store for us!
This masterpiece will take quite a while to settle in, if it ever does. I have a hard time reading stories more than once, "been there, done that", so to speak. But I will keep this one close by me, and I know there will be occasions when the time is just right, and I will come back to this.
This chapter feels like a different story, but with references to the previous one. After the rape, this scenario is welcome. Yes, a roller-coaster ride for sure. Only one more to go (glad it is a long one--I hope).
This must be the most cataclysmic turn of events I have ever read. You pulled it off superbly. I am stunned. It feels like the sun will never shine again.
Your portrayal of their sexual encounter is perfect. It all reads so naturally and (to borrow someone else's word) fluid. Oftentimes I skip over sex scenes because they are usually so predictable and almost identical. This was anything but. Bravo.
Can't read any more tonight...eyelids are drooping. But this story clicks so well. Plus it leaves me with a strong sense of deja vu. Can't wait to savor some more tomorrow. To say that it is entertaining doesn't do it justice. Spellbinding is closer to the truth, I think.
First of all, thanks, this is great. I sort of stumbled on to it by accident and started reading. And yes, "what he said" too! I am relieved the "complete" status was incorrect. Back to reading.
