I was that student also @RainbowPhoenixWI...Many teachers/instructors told me much of the same thing as I matriculated through my 7th and 8th grade years. My childhood was anything but inspiring, as four times the sheriff stood outside our house/apartment with the moving van. The change in me in a new location saw me graduate tenth in my class through hard work, challenging not only myself but my teachers, and college became a reality. With each succeeding job leading to better-paying jobs and opportunities. My last job I held for thirty years, starting once again as low-man-on-the-totem pole. Eventually retiring from my corner office on the executive floor. All because I would/could not take no for an answer. Ok...off my soapbox now... Poor Zdain, the slow burn continues...I'm trying to see some good in Danae, I just can't trust her with both of the secrets she now holds... Oy vey...The Redeemers...this can't be good....

Well...I'd like to say this chapter was puntastic but...Slutty Sandy's sleezy slimy slot, with apologies to @Summerabbacat, sorta put the brakes on that... One can only hope the menage de tri-troglodytes meet their betters....

Wowzer, this was a fantastic chapter, we now know who else was in the car with Josh, and we now can assume what fell out of Josh's pocket...where is it now?? Were they being chased, the high rate of speed certainly suggests that...if so...who was chasing them??? They will have to sift thru local PD and State accident reports to find the current location of the car...From their search for the car and the occupants, and the approximate last known location... Will there be any record of Josh being a child associated with Garrett Lindsey and Rachel Carrington, will there be any records of Josh, if he was adopted, who were his former parents??? And it looks like Trooper Kincaid has a brother/cousin/half-assed relative working for the FBI..... Love the twist this story is taking!!!
