  1. If I told you that Albert is waiting sort of patiently for your next story would that help? Seriously, I understand the late winter doldrums. We've been feeling them here too. What with the damp, make that wet, drear weather we had recently. We were fortunate to have the recent bout of sunshine. Yesterday the high reached 80/26° today it's 50/10° and overcast with rain expected later lasting into tomorrow morning. At least the daylight hours are increasing.
  2. We are thanks. Mum sends her love.

    Chapter 15

Bribery through a gift of acorns ... from someone with a pure heart, an honest and truthful attitude and is a gentle but fearless leader. I don't like the idea of bribery but introducing Cyn to such a person would be a plus providing it doesn't interfere with Cyn's attachment to Shea.
  4. Get thee to bed young fella.
  5. Thanks my brother. Blessed be. You forgot the beefcake pic so I found this one.
  6. My maternal grandma was badly burned in a kitchen fire when I was very young. I was too young to understand or remember details but something on the stove caught fire. When she tried to put it out the contents of the pan splattered and the flames spread to her and the walls. Her legs were the most severely burned because she was wearing a dress and apron leaving her lower legs uncovered. I don't remember how badly she was burnt only that she was in the hospital for awhile. The fire was bad enough as require repairs to the kitchen.
  7. When you open your heart there is always the potential for hurt. Courage is in doing so despite the risk. Once again you've gifted us with your words. Thank you little brother.
  8. I'm glad that your mum had the fortitude to survive. Had she not our Martin would be a different lad.

    Embers 2

Damn, all that smoke is gonna mess with the wine. CJ's gonna be unhappy. Good chapter.
  10. Isn't it time to build a kitty condo in the barn?
  11. I just got a notice for potential wind gusts back home in PA. Here we're expecting a front to pass later bringing a change to cooler slightly wet weather. This is the seventh day in a row of sunshine.
  12. We're having another warm sunny day, unfortunately it has also become rather humid. As a result my head aches ... badly.
  13. Isn't that the point of a day of rest?
  14. Then barely 20 minutes later we reached 81/27°. Feels like summer.
  15. It's currently 74/23°. After we went to brunch this morning I tool mum and Thistle into Myrtle Beach to walk along the boardwalk. There is a section that is non-commercial that passes between the high-rise hotels and the beach. It tends to have very little foot traffic as it is only about 6 feet wide and serves as a connector from the hotels to the downtown area. We had a nice stroll and got to see the ocean. Normally we would go to the nearby state park and walk on the beach but the feathering on Thistle's paws and legs has gotten long and brushing the loose sand out of his fur is a chore. He has an appointment to be groomed at the end of March, the groomer is well regarded and is booked solid until then, for his usual spring time trim. I have the fur on his feet clipped short like is done for poodles. Makes beach walking much less messy.
  16. Are you speaking of the effects of the shot or some other poke
  17. Uhm, you forgot to greet the cat/dragon ...
  18. He's an expert ... someone out standing in the field.
  19. Good to hear. Mum had no reaction either.
  20. Another pleasant sunny day in SC.
  21. Ah, Spring. I like the use of monochrome. Daffodils are being to bloom in some places here. Mum's tete a tete mini daffodils currently look much like this. Some of her hyacinths are blooming.
  22. We're enduring our fourth sequential day of sunshine and pleasant temperatures.
  23. What a foxy ostrich ...
  24. It's an @Valkyrie wannabear ...
  25. But I really, really, really like lasagna.
