  1. Dare I say it's in the low 60's/16° with warm sunshine. I opened the windows in my room because the sun shining on the side of the house has warmed the room to 80/26°. I'm wearing shorts and a tee.
  2. Mum has an appt for her first injection next Tues morning.
  3. I was worried about you. Also worried about @Story Reader.
  4. Howdy Texy Snow. You look unhappy ...
  5. Wow! Albert's travelogues have taken on an other worldly character ...
  6. Could you "chip" the branches etc. to use as mulch rather than burning them?
  7. Never thought Val would be payin' some guy for his company and expertise. I mean she's got "the herd".
  8. The day started well enough that I could run the vacuum cleaner through the house for mum. However, now it's time to rest quietly and enjoy a libation ... thanks for asking.
  9. Fortunately the plumber checked the pipe before he left and was able to make temporary repairs.
  10. Your bum ...

  12. Does Steve know about this boyfriend of yours?
  13. Hey kid! I have a couple boxes of frozen peas and a package of fresh mushrooms I could overnight to you.

  16. Seems I read this elsewhere ...
  17. Perhaps you should seek medical advice ... it sounds as if you might have broken your poor piggy.
  18. Howdy Texy.
  19. While it seems cruel and unnecessary and in civilian life would be unacceptable, in context that behavior serves a purpose. There is nothing in basic training that is kind and gentle. It's designed to break recruits down and build them back up.
  20. I feel somewhat guilty with our wet, miserable and soggy 41/5°. It has rained so much that there are puddles of standing water in almost all the neighborhood lawns.
  21. I was thinking of Steve Marriott, who saddly died in April 1991 at age 44.
  22. My understanding is that each of the local hospitals here could give first does vaccinations to 5,000 each week but are only receiving enough vaccine to innoculate 1,000 folks. The one facility currently has a backlog of 20,000 requests.
  23. One might say good hedges make good neighbors ... So that lad featured on front is rather adorable with his white hat and walking stick. Yes, I know he's older than I and looks nothing like that any longer ...
  24. RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUEFISH!
