  1. Howdy Texy.
  2. Ahh, so they finally found you ...
  3. A delayed ... Greetings Albert. It is an up and down day. My heads aches for awhile then eases for a short bit before the ache returns. In between I feel oddly hollow and off tilt. Hope you are well and that Steve's knee continues to improve.
  4. Howdy Texy.
  5. We had leftover beef vegetable soup with crusty ciabatta bread and apple galette.
  6. I sometimes miss the snows of my northern home not however those icy sidewalks. There was one morning just before Christmas when damp spots from the previous day's rain froze briefly on the sidewalks here. An odd experience treading lightly during our early morning walk. Thank you for your words and the remembrances they evoke.
  7. It's always good to have an extra pair of hands when you're bein' busy ... er, I mean hard at it ... uhm, oh bother ... you know what I mean.
  8. And a naughty mind.
  9. Great minds ...
  10. That would be enough to create the mandated tribute to his Imperial Texyness ...
  11. As today's a national celebration and yesterday was a personal celebration plus there being two different nations involved I think you'll suffer no ill from your chocolate cake of yesterday. However, as a precaution it might be wise to just whip up another cake to share with your overseas friends.
  12. Congrats on the snow. Is the cake in the oven?

    Chapter 34

Well ... that's certainly not the way I wanted things to turnout. You've just provided yourself with a harder task of giving your readers a satisfying outcome, aka an hea. By the way I found my mislaid pitchfork.
  14. He lives in Ireland, for them it's all about the green ...
  15. I don't think that's correct. The two currently available vaccines require two shots but Johnson & Johnson is developing a vaccine that only requires one shot. We should hear more about that vaccine within the next week. However none of them use the actual virus, they were developed using mRNA that triggers the immune response. Using mRNA techniques is common in a number of medical applications and is the reason they could develope vaccines so quickly.
  16. Marty I'm rather sure that is a dog in her avatar not a rat ...
  17. Glad you were able to get out, visit and eat cake. I am sorry for the delay in getting the vaccine. We're in the same boat. Mum is 85 and has an underlying health. Most places here giving the shot have filled all their available appointments. Most also require you sign up online but since they don't have enough vaccine for everyone many of the websites are closed. I should qualify because of my kidney disease but I am not in the state of my legal residence so ... we're being careful. We hadn't been to church since the first Sunday in January because my head was aching and the reverberation of the organ aggravates the migraine. We count ourselves fortunate because we learned early last week that the pastor has tested positive. He probably got it from the head of the church school who may have caught it from one of the students who had it. Mum gives asthma shots to one of her neighbors every two weeks. Turns out that lady contracted the virus. Fortunately, she and mum have taken precautions and mum seems to have avoided getting the virus from her. It has been three weeks since mum gave her the last injection. The two ladies thought it best if mum didn't do the one this past weekend.
  18. So @Valkyrie, we know Albert is adjusting to his cpap how are you doing with your apap?
  19. Maybe you might post a pic of him in speedos ... maybe whilst eating a slice of chocolate Victoria sandwich sponge cake.
  20. And the trier loves Cod ... and chips with vinegar.
  21. Happy Australia Day in return. So B, this speedo pic. Will it be one of you or some other equally stunning young buck? Hmmm, you're a bit of a tease, I imagine it being a pic of a pair of crumpled speedos lying on the corner of a bed.
  22. Yesterday was a mostly okay day thanks. Wasn't until evening the headache became an issue. Sorry to hear of Steve's knee. Hope it improves.
  23. Think the lad might notice if a small slice was missing? Oh, and another for Gary, and one each for Albert and Val and Clo and B and Drew and Sherye and ... hmmm, I guess just leaveing the lad a slice of his own isn't gonna have near the impact of a whole cake ... oh, bother. Perhaps another time then.
  24. Howdy your Texyness.
  25. You know now that this one has reached it's end. Albert is gonna want you to complete CoTT or write more about a certain shifter couple.
