  1. And a naughty mind.
  2. Great minds ...
  3. That would be enough to create the mandated tribute to his Imperial Texyness ...
  4. As today's a national celebration and yesterday was a personal celebration plus there being two different nations involved I think you'll suffer no ill from your chocolate cake of yesterday. However, as a precaution it might be wise to just whip up another cake to share with your overseas friends.
  5. Congrats on the snow. Is the cake in the oven?

    Chapter 34

Well ... that's certainly not the way I wanted things to turnout. You've just provided yourself with a harder task of giving your readers a satisfying outcome, aka an hea. By the way I found my mislaid pitchfork.
  7. He lives in Ireland, for them it's all about the green ...
  8. I don't think that's correct. The two currently available vaccines require two shots but Johnson & Johnson is developing a vaccine that only requires one shot. We should hear more about that vaccine within the next week. However none of them use the actual virus, they were developed using mRNA that triggers the immune response. Using mRNA techniques is common in a number of medical applications and is the reason they could develope vaccines so quickly.
  9. Marty I'm rather sure that is a dog in her avatar not a rat ...
  10. Glad you were able to get out, visit and eat cake. I am sorry for the delay in getting the vaccine. We're in the same boat. Mum is 85 and has an underlying health. Most places here giving the shot have filled all their available appointments. Most also require you sign up online but since they don't have enough vaccine for everyone many of the websites are closed. I should qualify because of my kidney disease but I am not in the state of my legal residence so ... we're being careful. We hadn't been to church since the first Sunday in January because my head was aching and the reverberation of the organ aggravates the migraine. We count ourselves fortunate because we learned early last week that the pastor has tested positive. He probably got it from the head of the church school who may have caught it from one of the students who had it. Mum gives asthma shots to one of her neighbors every two weeks. Turns out that lady contracted the virus. Fortunately, she and mum have taken precautions and mum seems to have avoided getting the virus from her. It has been three weeks since mum gave her the last injection. The two ladies thought it best if mum didn't do the one this past weekend.
  11. So @Valkyrie, we know Albert is adjusting to his cpap how are you doing with your apap?
  12. Maybe you might post a pic of him in speedos ... maybe whilst eating a slice of chocolate Victoria sandwich sponge cake.
  13. And the trier loves Cod ... and chips with vinegar.
  14. Happy Australia Day in return. So B, this speedo pic. Will it be one of you or some other equally stunning young buck? Hmmm, you're a bit of a tease, I imagine it being a pic of a pair of crumpled speedos lying on the corner of a bed.
  15. Yesterday was a mostly okay day thanks. Wasn't until evening the headache became an issue. Sorry to hear of Steve's knee. Hope it improves.
  16. Think the lad might notice if a small slice was missing? Oh, and another for Gary, and one each for Albert and Val and Clo and B and Drew and Sherye and ... hmmm, I guess just leaveing the lad a slice of his own isn't gonna have near the impact of a whole cake ... oh, bother. Perhaps another time then.
  17. Howdy your Texyness.
  18. You know now that this one has reached it's end. Albert is gonna want you to complete CoTT or write more about a certain shifter couple.
  19. This is the dime store western of my boyhood with a twist. In those stories the cowboy won the shootout and the gal. Here there ain't no gal and the only shootout occurred just before the story begins. That shootout has ramifications though for two young men. It is the impetus for one of them, Boone, to seek out the life he dreams of and for his best friend, Coy, to decide what it is he wants from life. Like most westerns there's also a cantankerous mule ...
  20. Seems Boone and Coy are settled into their new home. A place made of Boone's dream and Coy's vision. Thank you for sharing their story with us.
  21. How old is the lad going to be? It's currently 55/13° and showery. Tomorrow could reach 70/21° before a brief chill at the end of the week.
  22. Mum mentioned yesterday that in about 10 months we'll start decorating for next Christmas. On Saturday I'll pack away the last of the decorations we put out for this Christmas past. I arranged artificial greens and candles on the top of the china cabinet and at the top of a niche in the front hall. It was a long ago tradition tha the halls would be cleared of holiday greens before Candlemas on 2nd February.
  23. Good post-morning ... er ... pre-evenin' my brother.
  24. We had beef vegetable soup and crusty ciabatta bread. I made the soup in the crockpot on Sat. then left it age overnight. We'll have it again Tues. or Wed.
  25. So we've met Steve now it would be nice to meet Charlie, * hint*, *hint*
