    Okay so I have to admit I had tears when I got to the little boy in the airport saluting Ritch ... damn, just writing about it here brought tears. I enjoyed watching strings from other stories being tied into this one. That's one of the most significant differences from the early CJ stories. Those exist in a sort of vacuum but the spinoffs occur simultaneously with overlapping timelines. The sudden flick of a switch reminding us that Chipper was doing the "Voice" while Ritch was busy adjusting to life at the Academy in Colorado. Also, that he hadn't seen his brother's completed home. There are a lot of divergent lives being lived. Excellent chapter.

    I made a small beef roast in the crockpot. I added carrots, onion and a bit of roasted red pepper. I served it over brown basmati rice. Oh, sorry Val but mum's plate included the leftover peas from last night.

    Thanks. I use all manner of means to deal with my migraines. I cope with intractable migraine. It's the reason I'm on disability since I have some level of migraine for at least part of every day. Before my current treatment I spent a couple days each week medicated and in bed with a severe migraine. Now it's unusual for me to be bedridden though typically I spend the latter part of each day resting quietly to avoid a worsening migraine. The last few days have been outside the norm for me. This morning is better.

    Yeah, talking to an inanimate length of wood sounds so much better. Please note: As it's early morning here I specified inanimate wood as opposed to just any old bit of wood.

    Mum likes peas and knowing I'm not overly fond teased that she wanted them with dinner, so I nuked a box of Green Giant frozen ones. The quesadilla because they're fairly easy and I was hoping the capsaicin in chipotle powder might help with my migraine.

    This morning the migraine had eased to the point of being nearly gone. Mum and I finished packing away her Christmas china then ran a few errands. Then this afternoon the migraine returned. Now that night has fallen it's even worse than the last one and I've maxed out on pain meds. I should like to cry. I'm gonna disappear for the night and hope that warm compresses provide enough relief that I can sleep. Blessed be my brothers and sisters.

    I once suggested that women's favorite male body part must be the armpit since so many of the photos in beefcake calendars seem to feature armpits. No, I am not suggesting @Marty is a member of the fairer gender ... hmmm, unless of course you want to suggest he's Snow White's long lost twin. The age is about right.
