Did you check for blossom end rot? It most common in tomatoes but effects zukes too. That's an issue with inconsistent watering. Zukes need roughly an inch of water a week if planted in the ground if potted you want to maintain a consistent moisture level.
Do the wilting leaves look like they have talcum powder dusted on them? That's a sign of powdery mildew. Not usually a serious problem but if wide spread on a plant can effect fruiting because it inhibits photosynthesis.
That's about all I can think of.
That's better news. Maybe you could hand pollinate.
I know tomatoes will not set new fruit if the nights don't drop below about 70 degrees even if properly pollinated. Once the heat wave passes they'll begin fruiting again. Maybe peppers are the same. I do know if peppers don't get enough water they will not fruit. They take alot of water, I've had to water up to a gallon a day during hot dry weather. Try watering them daily and see if that makes a difference.
Are the vines wilting too? If so you probably have vine borers. I hate to say it but if so your zucchini are doomed. The larva eat out the inside of the major stems killing the plants. I've never had zucchini survive beyond mid-season because of them. Next year put a net cover over the vines to keep the moths from laying their eggs on your plants. I don't bother because fresh produce is readily available at the local farm markets and roadside stands.
Hi. Well the sun came up and at 1pm it's 88/31° with 82% humidity making it feel 108/42° and it's expected to get a couple degrees hotter. I have never been in air with a dewpoint of 82°. It's oppressive.
Greetings Albert. Doin' well enough thanks. I saw from your earlier response to Page that you and Steve are well. I'm glad.
Now I'm off to do more prep for the trip home.
G'day y'all. It's warm. When the pup and I got out of bed at 5am it was 81/27° with 94% humidity making it feel like 92/33°. The sun wasn't even up. Needless to say it's forecast to get hotter with possible t'storms.
I have a cd done by a group that performed at the renfaire a couple years ago. They performed "White Rabbit" on Middle Eastern instruments. Sounds very much like a period piece.
It's worse this morning, 82/28° with 94% humidity so it feels like 93/34°. Forecast is for heat index of 104/40°.
The pup and I are leaving Wednesday afternoon to head back to PA. After an overnight in NC we should be home Thursday mid-day.
👋
I'm ready to be done with SC weather. Thistle doesn't like the humidity. He just slowly meanders on our walk and I only take him the 3/4 mile around mum's neighborhood.
Stick to your guns Marine ... until the guy is gone the Davenport Collection can be sent on temporary loan to one or two East Coast museums. When news of the how and why gets around CAMALA may find themselves scrambling to keep other loaned works.
Great chapter.
