  1. We are, as you're well aware, easily misled into low places. Now that you've placed the tease I certainly hope you provide the treat.
  2. 🐶 aarrrrf Page.
  3. Other than the achy head I am thank you.
  4. G'day y'all. Today is far more moderate than the past couple. It is 90/32° with just 48% humidity making it feel like 92/33°. Had a busy earlier part of the day. The pup and I were at the park for our morning walk by 5:45am. Together we walked a bit over 2 miles then Thistle gets a drink and a rest in the car while I speed walk another mile. Walking here is very different than in SC. There it's flat here we walk up and down low hills. The first two miles with Thistle takes between 45 and 50 minutes the last mile alone takes ~17 minutes. I'm pleased with that. I lost 20 pounds this past spring and have a goal of losing another 10-15 before I head south again in mid-October. After our walk we came home and I showered before heading to a large nearby farmer's market. There I can by meat directly from a local butcher plus fresh fruit, veggies and baked goods from any numbers of local growers. I noticed a number of other vendors selling a variety of flea market type items, costume jewelry, face masks, tee shirts, etc. in spaces that were occupied by produce vendors when I was last there in November. A few stands had signs noting they were closed temporarily due to owners concerns over COVID. After returning home from there I made an early lunch of tuna melt on half of a pumpernickel bagel and salad before taking Thistle to a noon grooming appointment. He got his usual summer trim and a bath. He looks adorable. Got home from that about 2pm and have been sitting in the shade relaxing since. I'm pondering what to have for dinner. Thinking Southwestern chicken burger sliders and fresh corn on the cob. I want something simple as my head has gone achy.
  5. Sounds lovely and productive.
  6. I'm not too bad thank you. After lunch the pup and I went outdoors to sit the shade and relax. It has reached 93/34° but the dewpoint has dropped slightly so the heat index ix only a bit warmer at 96/35°. Seemed warmer, likely because the breeze stopped, so we've retreated back indoors. Need to rest my head as it's begun aching.
  7. G'day y'all. Feels like an early morning at mum's. Only 8am but it's a warm 81/27° with 71% humidity so it feels like 85/29°. Forecast is to reach 93/34° but feel like 103/39°. I have an appointment to have my car inspected this morning plus one or two other things before kicking back to relax. If there's a breeze the pup and I might sit out under the tree and watch the world pass by. Blessed be my brothers and sisters.
  8. So it's more a matter of want than it is need.
  9. It's gotten warm here, currently 94/34° with 45% humidity so it feels like 100/38°. Oddly, that 45% humidity doesn't seem all that bad after the last month in SC.
  10. So right now a dusting of snow would be more welcome than an inch of rain.
  11. I was wondering that too.
  12. I like the single linework.
  13. We're headed in that direction over the next couple days. Temps in the 90's/32-36° plus higher humidity. It'll seem like I'm back in SC.
  14. Greetings Albert. I am well enough thank you. Very tired as I spent roughly seven hours weeding and cleaning up outdoors after being away for eight months. Fortunately while it's warm, 88/31° it isn't particularly humid. Especially since I'm acclimated to SC levels of humidity. My body said enough was enough though so I've stopped for the day. Next task is to shower away the sweat and dirt then have something to eat.
  15. That pup plays better than I do though Thistle believes he can sing just as well.
  16. So I have a question. At the end of the year is there any chance you might mount and display the collection for others to appreciate or is this purely for your personal enjoyment, and ours?

It's all coming together nicely. I enjoyed the flow of events and the relationships developing with those folks responsible for taking care of the house. Now they just need to hang some artwork. And as always it nice "hearing" Chipper perform.
  18. But wear a mask!
  19. Thank you. It's nice to be home but it also seems strange.
  20. It was a long trip. I made it home a bit after 1pm. The inside temp was 83/28° so after unloading the car my first job was to install the window ac unit. It's much more comfortable now. I spent some time wiping down kitchen and bathroom countertops and vacuuming. Except for a brief hour long visit in January I haven't been here in 8 months. So the place needs a good cleaning and I've some serious weeding to do to get things looking right. My neighbors took care of my part of a shared flower garden so that looks good and they kept the lawn mowed. I need to go for some groceries and then I'm going to relax as my head is achey.
  21. I had a ham and smoked cheddar sandwich, potato chips (crisps), pickles, chocolate brownie and lemonade in my motel room in NC. I packed everything at mum's this morning so I wouldn't need to go out whilst travelling.
  22. Your visit to an old student brought me to tears. How bright some candles burn only to be snuffed before their light can truly be appreciated. Thank you for all of these words you gifted us.
  23. Mean, just mean.
  24. Ohhh ... you gonna wiggle your toes in my chest hair and then squeal ...
  25. I think from what I've read it's a matter of fruit size. Those picked as smaller fruit are courgettes and large fruit are marrows.
