This brought my own remembrance of what might have been. He was beautiful and mine for oh so brief a time and I loved him but our life paths diverged and he became lost to me ... 40+ years later I can see his moonwashed face as he slumbers beside me ... Your tale was lovely, thank you.

That's what I was gonna tell you. So if it's just scarecrows in my garden and scarecrows in yours just where is your herd ... hey Val have you been poaching?
-
You don't need Val's to jump up and down on the bed just ask your brother to do it. That way if it's not done correctly none of the beefcake get bruised just your bro will.

My poor body is all kinds of out of whack. My blood sugar crashed just before lunchtime and yes I had brekkie, two gingerbread pancakes. Once I got it under control it triggered a nasty migraine. Was supposed to spend the day cleaning the bedroom and bathroom for mum's visit. Didn't happen.

She can't they're at my house ...

Wait just one minute Miss Tink. How is using Val's herd to help you build a bed building it on your own? And just where is your herd? Oh wait, never mind. I see they're wandering about in my back garden.

He's still pretty and has eyes like mum's who has eyes like my grandmum. I miss that lady. She died in July 20 years ago. Two sleeps until mum arrives for her autumnal visit. She'll be here eight weeks.

I had to sign in this morning in order to see my notifications.

G'day y'all. It's chilly this morning 58/14°. Off to walk the pup.

Like Gary, you need to get some young hunk to do your therapy for you.

So do they deliver or is your son picking it up?

The cheese is great. In addition to the brie I bought a piece of Kaltbach Le Crémeux, a really nice creamy semi-firm cows milk cheese and a piece of Brebis Val d'oc which is a firm sheep's milk cheese similiar to Abbaye du Belloc. Wish I could share.

You taking him along to do the heavy lifting?
-
Oh, bless her heart, she's got the vapors.

That's about normal for here this time of year. It's currently a bit warm at 79/26°. Fortunately the humidity is at a comfortable level.

It did thanks. My thyroid levels being off the rails is a major issue for the migraines. Until that is corrected we don't know how effective the Ajovy really is so we're sticking it out through another course. I see him again in seven weeks, 5 Nov. By then the thyroid should be back under control. If I still haven't improved there is another approach we can try. Fortunately the weather was very nice. After my appointment I took myself to brunch at a nearby restaurant I really like. From there I strolled several blocks to Reading Terminal Market and bought three cheeses that aren't available locally to share for our shop luncheons. One is a black truffle brie. From there I continued towards the train station. Made a quick stop at a shop that sells hand made soaps. I bought three small bars of a pumpkin ale soap as gifts for the others in the shop. They use pumpkin ale from Dogfish Head brewery in DE. It smells wonderful. I also bought a bar of blueberry soap and a bamboo cloth bathpuff for mum. Her birthday is on the 30th. From there a quick stop at Macy's Center City store. It is in the old John Wannamaker store. The store has a four story open center court with the world's largest pipe organ. Visiting there reminds me of @AC Benus Famous-Barr stories. Finally I headed to the train station. It was a nice walk. Twenty-seven blocks from where I ate to 30th Street Station.

Damn, even if he doesn't win the competition the connections Chipper's making will be a plus and he's having fun. Adam obviously thinks highly of his talent to pull him along on stage to perform. Glad he chose not to indulge in the pot offer. I suspect that offer might have led to another sort of offer. Imagine the hassles those two girls could cause when the show airs. This chapter is classic Hazday and I'm kinda liking the short chapters. Allows for quick looks at all that's happening. Grouped together in a longer chapter the various events could lose some of their impact.

G'day y'all. Doc appt in Philly today. We'll evaluate next step in treatment.

He's pretty. May I have him? I need a reason to laze in bed. Well ... actually I don't. I spent my morning washing fabric for the shop mistress. She uses it to make reversible double-weight cotton chamois flannel cloaks. I've done it a couple times earlier in the season. Takes about three hours to wash, dry and fold. The pieces vary in length from 6 to 8 yards and are 48 to 54 inches wide. It's usually not an issue. She leaves it in the shop Sunday night after the faire closes and I pick it up on Monday morning while I'm out grocery shopping since the grocery store is about halfway between home and the shop. On the way home I stop at the laundromat and load it into the extra large commercial washers to wash while I continue home to unload and put away the groceries. Then back to the laundromat to run the clean fabric through the commercial size dryers. When it's all washed, dried and folded it goes into plastic trash bags to protect it until needed. I leave it in my car until Tuesday morning when I go to a nearby farmers market which is also part way to the shop. Doing it that way just adds a little extra time driving to two of my weekly chores not a big deal. Two weeks ago after the last batch I explained I could wash fabric this past week but not this week because mum is coming and I need a couple days to get ready for her and must go to Philly tomorrow. No problem. She lends us clothes for mum to wear as her faire garb. It was the prototype garb the mistress made for a theatrical costume. No one else uses it and it's mum's size. Works out well. So Saturday when I arrive at the shop she tells me she has mum's garb in her car along with fabric to launder. "Oh ... but ..." Now leaving the garb in the car may not sound like a problem but we park in a large lot behind the faire and since we come and go at different times don't usually park near one another. That means a special trip to the shop on Monday morning. Well shyte ... might as well wash the bloody fabric too. The shop is over 20 twenty miles away and is a 40-45 minute trip oneway. Yeah, an hour and a half round trip to pickup the fabric then another to return it, 90 miles. Took the entire morning from 6:30am until nearly 1pm. I'm knackered my head aches and the only chores I managed at home was to launder my bed linens and remake the bed and to hand wash a bunch of dishes, no dishwasher. The sweet potato and cauliflower I put in to roast for a late lunch/early supper just finished so I'm gonna eat and then crash 'cause my head aches. Thanks for letting me vent. Oh yeah, and now you know why I need something pretty to hold my hand and drop butterfly kisses on my brow.

My bed is calling g'night y'all.

So it was a lovely day at Faire. Bright and sunny with a light breeze and the humidity inproved. Acutally, it was hot if you were in the sunshine. About mid-morning a squad of ROTC from one of the local universities visited the shop. Eight pieces of prime military grade eye candy all between the ages of 19 and 20. They promised to post some of the photos they took on the shop Facebook page. I know, I know, you want stories. I really wish I could get the words to flow.

With fresh apples?

Hey Page! Don't tell Albert but I forgot too. There is so much bluefish food discussed amongst this bunch that keeping it sorted requires a spreadsheet.
-
Probably because you made too much ...

Oh, so you decided it was time to houseclean the holding pen in the basement. You do realize the herd had been keeping those spiders as pets.
