So far all is well. The zone immediately around here began mandatory evacuation at noon yesterday. That zone is directly along the ocean and the area bordering the Waccamaw River.
And we're off ... I'm gonna take a chance and assume Chipper makes it onto the show since we've been privy to his friends gathering in front of their tv to watch ... but as always it's the journey you take us on that we look forward to.
And life goes on ... I've been looking forward to this and the prologue bodes well. Though it's no surprise that you have another great story ready to share.
A friend helped her check whether she could change her airline ticket to fly north now rather than on the 20th. There are no seats available. If she needs to evacuate she has been invited to join her neighbors at their daughter's home in Greenville. That's the same place she went last year when they evacuated because of Florence and would put her well away from the coast. For now they are waiting to get a better idea of the storm track. I'll talk with her again tomorrow evening.
Charleston which is 82 miles further south has begun evacuating. The major highways will be all lanes one way outbound beginning tomorrow in order to ease the traffic out of the city. The schools along the coast are ordered to remain closed until after the storm.
G'day y'all. The day has dawned cool and overcast. No rain in the forecast for today but my head is achey and there is a shift in the weather.
I'm growing concerned about Dorian. The forecast change in direction puts Mum in the threat zone. Prayers and best wishes please.
Blessed be y'all.
And just where was that son of yours ... you couldn't wait until he was available to help 'cause the light had to be installed witin a 72hr time limit or you needed to return it ... AARRRGGG
I'm not.
Mea Culpa. I often remind people to stop applying the mores of modern society to historical events. Modern sensibilities differ markedly from the way things were once viewed.
Picking the flower was touching. So too was Stravor washing Keter's back. Having purchased him many would view the boy as nothing more than a possession. My question is, did Stravor buy Keter to have easily at hand or to protect him from other Seachers.
Too often people skip over the mundane things such as buying the pony baskets and how they are weatherproofed or sending Keter to buy sweets and which he chose.
The differing viewpoints concerning Shade are true to character. For one he is simply useful to the other he's a new friend. I think Shade is going to br stubbornly loyal to Keter.
Well conceived chapter. I like how this is progressing.
