  1. Had a first time experience today. A young man and his family came in to the shop late this afternoon to try on a kilt. He was intoxicated to the point he had difficulty remaining vertical. I held him up by the belt. There was no way he was able to walk across the shop so I just stood him in front of the mirror. And then he vomited, on my arm. I was able to hustle him out of the shop before he did it again. Fortunately as I had my shirt sleeves up above my elbows none went on my clothes or him so nothing was ruined. Used a baby wipe to clean my arm then headed off to the privy to wash with soap and water. Having him bent over with his bum pressed into my crotch as he was sick was not in the least an experience I'd rather repeat. Even if it was a very nice bum ...
  2. What kind of Australian dessert was it?
  3. See, you just needed to be patient.
  4. Oh, so it's a learned behaviour on your part.
  5. Oddly, I had the same thought but restrained myself.
  6. He was mine first.

    Cross Country

I think the story flow is good ... you build, you build, you build and then we breathe. If every chapter were like the previous three it wouldn't seem real. Life doesn't playout like that even in a place populated by the extraordinary. You doing fine. You've got good instincts and a top notch team backing you.

    Cross Country

Nice chapter. A bit of a slow down while we catch up with other events that summer and then ... more excitement.

  18. It has been. I don't like thinking of life without her.
  19. Thanks. Mostly she just tires more easily than before.
  20. So it seems mum had a heart attack at some point this summer but was unaware of it. She learned of if on Thursday afternoon when she went for a routine checkup with her family doctor and he reviewed her ekg. I don't know how I feel. Obviously relieved but mum will be 84 next Monday. She's closing in on the ages her parents were when they died. My grandfather died because of a heart attack at age 85 and my grandmother had some heart issues when she died of other causes a month later at age 86.

    Battle Round

What a bait and switch ... to suggest one sort of performance and then give us another. Lucky for you Chipper has the talent to carry either. So is anyone gonna "steal" Bliss?

    Battle Round

The possibilty crossed my mind. Afterall, these are damn short chapters, at our age even you've got the stamina to last through two of 'em.
  23. Wow. I just finished dumping one load of laundry into the washer after hanging the previous load in the sun to dry. Never occurred to me how much of my life might be drowning in that agitated water ... I still believe in the powers of a cup of strong coffee ... you just need to add a lot of cream and sugar. Sometimes the sun shining on flower petals is enough.
  24. Nuthin' pitiful 'bout that cowboy. Feel better.
