  1. Now I remember where I heard reference to Lancashire cheese and Cheshire.
  2. Oh, I'd forgotten that bit. Lovely childhood memories those.
  3. Arthur King of the Britons regularly attends faire.
  4. I'm a highly sought after date in certain circles ...
  5. Lancashire seems familiar. Not that I've had it only heard tell of it. I don't recall Cheshire. Incidently, my mum's family the Mathers hale from Lancashire, village called Lowton if I recall correctly. They emigrated in the late 1590's.
  6. Heck! I can bring fresh locally raised ones.
  7. There's nothing in his left hand 🤔 oh, you were enamored of his facial hair.
  8. It's currently 94/34° but feels like 97/36° the humidity has improved slightly, earlier it felt like 99/37°. The front isn't forecast to reach my area until tomorrow. My headaches.
  9. Did your kids give you that mug for Father's Day?
  10. It's currently hot and muggy. The temp is 90/32° but feels like 96/35°. The front causing Val's weather is to drift slowly this way bringing potentail storms later today/tonight. I'm hoping for more comfortable weather as the renfaire opens on Saturday. Before that we have "Camp Day" on Thursday. A dress rehearsal of sorts. Multitudes of youngsters attending summer camps come to experience a day at the faire. We do very little if any sales as most of the kids haven't brought money for purchases with them. It does let us sort out the cobwebs and bits 'n bobs beforehand. It is a shorter day though it begins early, 9am until 3pm.
  11. Perhaps they had been sampling the fine French vintages and their senses were muddled ...
  12. Roquefort ...
  13. I took myself out to dinner and had lasagna and tossed salad with balsamic vinagrette. Then I came home and ate some dark chocolate gelatto for dessert.
  14. I still say it was @Page Scrawler who ate it in one of his famous sammichs.
  15. Uhm, you missed mine ...
  16. Maybe it's an Irish thing ... the image is swiss and everyone know the Irish make great cheddar by adding Guiness.
  17. It's nearly 90/32° and feels hotter 93/34° and they want it to get even hotter. I'm gonna take the pup for a bath to cool off. Later y'all.
  18. Page ate it ...
  19. Well, I think you should cancel that order and place a request for pleasant weather.
  20. It's okay really, thanks. Just a case of knowing she's not here. Life was difficult for her. Mum and I have come to the conclusion that she was transgender but had no way of indentfying herself thus. She often said she felt as if there was a hole inside where something was missing. As a result she resorted to drugs and alcohol to ease that loss. Unfortunately, alcholism is present on both sides of our genetic tree, a great-grandfather in the male line on each side. Jaki struggled but managed to live clean for roughly 20 years before she died. Though her death is unexplained there were no drugs or alchol in her bloodstream at the autopsy.
  21. It's all those boneless chickens I feel sorry for ...
  22. Greetings Albert you too Marty. I am passable fair thanks. Today would have been my sister's 55th birthday. She's been gone just over 15 years now. Not sure why but this year it bothers me.
  23. Mum is the same. She loves cheese.
  24. Apparently I missed this announcement earlier ... Congratulations northie. Very happy for you, well deserved.
