    Positively wonderful that Eric should paint Croome Park. That he would be so closely involved in a place that will become so important in Andy & Adam's life is indeed serendipitous. Only two chapters to come. Is there a third segment?

    Drammit but it's hot, 93/34° but the heat index is 107/41°. I went out briefly to ship a package to mum and for groceries. Being out in the heat aggravated the migraine I'm fighting again today.

    Our local Pride Event is tomorrow as well. New venue this year. It's being held at the local minor league baseball stadium. Don't know that I will attend due to the heat.

    G'day y'all. I stepped out the back door at 4:30 this morning and it felt like walking into a bath. It was 79/26° and incredibly humid. An hour later we were at the park for our walk from there a quick trip into the city to Central Market for a few things. Home again by 7:45. Just relaxing a bit until later this morning and then a trip for groceries and to send a package to mum. We're under heat advisory until late Sunday evening but excessive heat warnings kick in at noon through tomorrow evening. There is a chance that clouds could build in and help keep temps down.

    I've decided that I'm having a tossed salad with bits of grilled chicken breast and Vadalia onion poppyseed dressing. It's too bluefish hot to cook.

    Currently 83/27° but feels like 92/33° and they want it to just keep getting hotter. Potential high of 100/37° on Saturday with heat index of 110/43°. The excessive heat warnings go into effect tomorrow morning until 10pm Sunday. The pup and I are staying indoors the rest of today. We had our walk early and were home before 7am. I left Thistle at the house, went to brekkie and ran two errands was home again by 9:30. There's things I would like to to accomplish outside but it's just too hot and my head aches. Think I may need to take stronger meds and sleep.

    Half the fun is sneaking in and out while she's busy freaking out over the dead critter at the end of the drive. How do you think it got there?

    It's very warm, 93/33+° but feels like 104/40°. Fortunately there is a breeze under the tree but Thistle is looking for a cool spot in the grass. He tried digging a furrow in the grass but some mean person told him to stop. There is a severe storm warning in effect until 10pm. It appears that the remnants of Barry are passing to the west and north of us. I suspect it's wet at Val's. It's actually 95/35°.

    It's a large soft cookie with the texture of a dense cake made with molasses.

    Think large soft cookie made with molasses and denser than a buttermilk sugar cookie, ~5 inches across. They're wonderful broken into bite size bits served with sliced fresh peaches and greek yogurt.

    G'day y'all. The heat and humidity have increased. High temps forecast in low 90's/33+° with tropical humidity making it feel closer to 100/37. Potential for heavy storms later today and overnight. Tomorrow to slightly less warm but the following 3/4 days are expected to be the hottest so far this summer with heat indices of 105/40+. Warnings have already been broadcast for the elderly and infirm. We had our early morning walk. Currently the pup and I are sitting in the yard enjoying the realtively pleasant morning having just shared a molasses cake for breakfast. Well my breakfast, second breakfast for the four-legged one who broke his fast on a bit of kibble with goat's milk yogurt before our walk.
