    Of God and Angels

Hmmmm, interesting premise. I was taught that angels in their many forms are like humans, created beings. However, unlike humans they were not given the gift of free-will. That it is our free-will that makes us in God's image. I could go on and on with my thoughts about that but ... I know little brother that because of the things done to you as a child that you say you do not believe. I ask this of you out of love ... is it possible that your questioning suggests a small part of you does still hope? Recall that often I say Namasté when I "speak" to you. To me Namasté is recognizing that small spark of the divine, the breath of the Creator within each part of his/her creation. For me God exists in the totality of creation ... being the force and energies upon which the universe exists. Within the very air we breathe so that with each breath we become suffused with the divine ... does that make us less fallible? Definitely, not. We critique the "Word of God" as being written by humans. That it is often incorrect if not down-right wrong due to that dubious foundation. However, keep in mind that when we make these judgements we do so based on our own fallible human intelligence. Too, keep in mind that society has evolved in 2,000+ years. What was may no longer be how we view things. I'm not saying anything anyone said here is wrong just to keep in mind that as Alexander Pope once stated "to err is human ...". It seems to be what we do best. Last thought, if what I was taught is true. Is God's gift to us ... freewill, truly a gift since it makes us question everything and allows us to behave so horribly towards one another? Namasté y'all.
  16. G'day y'all. Very warm and muggy, currently overcast.
  17. Why does that make you innocent?
  18. You're so funny sometimes. I've aged out of that requirement. One of the advantages of growing older is having youngsters to handle the boring stuff.
  19. I'd like you to show your work because that just doesn't add up ...
  20. Where's my bow and quiver? I sense a rebellion coming.
  21. Randy, I am so sorry. I will keep you all in my prayers.
  22. G'day y'all. Another unseasonably warm muggy day. Summer has come early to SC. My head aches. My aunt, uncle and cousin arrived late yesterday afternoon. While not quite her oldself I think she's doing well.
  23. But she was referring to Drew and we have been reminded many times that he is a man.
  24. And if Drew knows anything it's bull 🤔
