Leaving is not so easily done Tim. There is a great deal of mental manipulation that goes along with physical abuse. Additionally, women of a certain age were trained to believe they were responsible for their spouse's happiness at home. Unless you've lived it you cannot fairly judge another for what they do under these circumstances. To judge Felicity an idiot for any reluctance to leave she may have makes you as guilty as her husband because that exactly how he views her.

From what was written as one of Felicity's thoughts, he did not as she'd not mentioned it. If she had he would have avoided striking her in the face.

I'm really done with this heat. It's part of the reason I don't stay here year round. My head can be okay, I go out and the combination of heat, humidity and intense sunshine will trigger a low-grade migraine. Not intense enough for meds but something along a 2/3 on a 1 to 10 pain scale. That's what happened today. Okay, enough whining.

It's nice to be in your own space however humble it may be. While Eric may think he appears worn and shabby in the video Andy made on his phone he also had to acknowledge the editing took away any awkwardness. He could, with help, make a very convincing advocate for A Helping Hand. Even better, he's planning a train trip to Leominster. Who would have ever thought? All because he made a phone call asking for help. What a change in his life. Andy knows, and Adam will soon enough. I can almost hear his fury. Felicity will get the help she needs. Wide ranging circumstances in this chapter. You've done a nice job balancing things. Well done.
