  1. Ok, so I'm at a crossroad. I've been working on a short story, and I'm about 2900 words into it, but I'm stuck. It's been a month since I started writing the joker, and I hate to let it go to waste. On the other hand, I think I made a mistake with it, but I can't know for sure. What I'd like is for another author, efiction, promising, shared hosted or hosted, it doesn't matter to me, to take what I've written and continue the story. Do whatever you want with it, change the names of the characters, whatever you think will work. If you're interested, please reply here or PM me. I'd even be willing to work with you, and I'm open to the possibilty of three or four more authors working on it together. Once you take it off my hands, it's your world.

  3. Wow, congratulations Atimexis
  4. Reviewers can also be useful beta readers, if they're willing to help you out. I've found that the people who give me the most feedback, both good and bad, are willing to beta read chapters for me. That's a great way to know in advance how you're work is probably going to be received, and at the same time, it gets your readers involved with what you're doing.
  5. I agree that most of the performances tonight were trash, but I think for most of them, it's just a matter of finding the right song. It can't be about the song they dream about performing, it has to be the song that they're able to sing.
  6. Ok, so it looks like David's gonna win this season, but Asia's pretty damn good too. (and she's a little hott!!)
  7. One of the most important things a writer can do to encourage feedback, in my opinion, is to thank each and every review you get. Even if it's a flame, thank them for giving you the opportunity to improve, because chances are, if someone's giving you a harsh review, there's a reason. You might be surprised how much of a difference author participation in the process makes.
  8. Happy Birthday
  9. Happy Birthday Jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. lol.....well, as it stands right now, I'm lucky to have a license, much less a car. I've already got two tickets and an accident, and I haven't even had my license for a year yet So I have to be careful, or I'll be catching the bus and asking for a transfer when I need to get somewhere.
  11. So instead of having no clean silverwear, we had no clean eating utensils??
  12. It's only a dangerous car if you drive it like a person gone mad Since I've already felt the pain of wrecking my car when it was brand new, I've learned my lesson about driving like a moron. As far as being rear ended, I'd have to guess that the only sure fire way to make sure that never happens is to move somewhere with no roads and no traffic
  13. Happy Birthday CPL!!!!!
  14. Sorry Kevin...I made it sound like I just left it where it was, but I didn't. I piled it all up in the sink for my stepmom. One knife did go under the stove when i kicked it by accident, but we have like 55,000 butterknives anyway, so I don't think we'll miss it. Yikes! I'm just glad that it missed you! Haha...me too. That would have been just one more addition to the long list of dumb injuries I've managed to rack up
  15. Thanks Anthony...how have you been?? I haven't seen you around in ages. I hope all is well
  16. Well, I didn't necessarily want a 2007, but my dad insisted because he thinnks newer cars are safer. After his wreck, there was no talking him out of it
  17. If you watch Family Guy, there's an episode where Peter gets a pair of the red pajamas that they have on the site with the butt flap. He drags his feet on the carpet and shocks everyone in the house. If you haven't seen it, you should...it's friggin hilarious.
  18. Well, it depends on who you ask...if you ask me, the answer is of course If you ask anyone else who's ever eaten off of the dishes I've washed, they'll tell you no and exagerate about an incident that happened one time where I may or may not have thought the dishes in the dishwasher were clean and they werent and we were eating breakfast off of the dirty dishes. I mean, we didn't die or anything. So basically, when I do start the dishwasher, if no one's home, I don't tell anyone. If I do, and someone comes home before they finish, I lie and say someone else started it
  19. Well, I had a 2005 Civic, but the day I got my license someone rear ended my dad while he was driving it and totalled it. So I got a 2007, and I make payments on it, which kill me when I add gas and insurance to the bill. Plus, I have two tickets and an accident, so insurance went way up But luckily, I have a pretty good paying job, and during the summer I can work 40 hours a week. I'll be in Greece for two weeks, but I can still get a lot of hours in when I'm home. Plus, I have a bunch of money saved up from being stingy and making my parents pay for everything over the years At the very least, I should have enough to put a nice down payment and not have monthly payments that kick my butt every month.
  20. Welcome to the club, French Canadian...I've been a member of it since August 2006...don't get caught in the same trap. Post like a whore on an interstate ho stroll.
  21. Haha...don't encourage him. Congratualtions Graeme!!!!!!
  22. Sorry Kevin...I made it sound like I just left it where it was, but I didn't. I piled it all up in the sink for my stepmom. One knife did go under the stove when i kicked it by accident, but we have like 55,000 butterknives anyway, so I don't think we'll miss it.
  23. Even if they're planning a surprise party for him?? One with cake, ice cream, fresh berries, a disco ball and spiked punch??
  24. That's what I'm hoping to buy myself for my graduation gift next year.
